I don't know about anything else, but Nikki is one heck of a server. I almost wanted to meet the manager because I wanted to see the great mind behind this hire. She is really just too sweet trying to get her to stop smiling. It was almost impossible, but why would you want to because she's so enthusiastic. She made the experience that much better. I work on a traveling construction crew and was staying at the Best Western right next door. We were hungry after a long day of travel from one job to the next and figured we'd grab a beer and some food. Walked in around 9 pm. Bartender didn't say anything as we walked up. We sat down on the right side of the bar and as we did she said, without looking at us, " can you sit over here" gesturing to the center of the Bar. No problem, she's busy, I get it. When she asked to see our IDs, the drama started. All three of us on my crew are from different states. Keep in mind, I'm 30, my two crew members are 28 and 25. Immediately she was skeptical. Started hmmming and hawwing and then dropped my ID and walked to the back. Brought out what seemed to be half the restaurant staff, refusing to believe that my new hire crew member was who he was on his ID, as he had shaven for his respirator fit test, for his on-boarding at the company...the...week...before. She wouldn't even believe when he showed her a picture on his phone. Super ridiculous situation. We got up and walked out, don't want to give my money to anyone here. I came here one day after a long day at work and no hostess was at the check in, so I went straight to the bar. A single bartender was working and she was way too busy on closing up to provide decent service. She was friendly, she was just very preoccupied. The menu is the typical, chain Steakhouse menu, nothing fancy, exciting nor unique. The food was decent, nothing special. The place was moderately clean. My fiancé and I went to have an early dinner today around 3:00 pm. Immediately upon arrival, no one was at the hostess desk to seat us. After about 5 minutes, a girl came to seat us, gave us menus, and told us our server would be right with us. After 15 minutes had passed no one had even acknowledged our presence, so we got up and left. We informed the hostess why we were leaving and that we wouldn't ever be back! It's ridiculous that in today's world you can't even get so much as a hello or a glass of water when you go into a restaurant! Nobody wants to work, and the ones who do, do a half ass job at it! Had to use some gcs as they closed Charlotte Pike location. Sadly with Covid they up charged take outs stating extra silverware etc is the increase in price. Ummm. Ok... I would have gone to a smaller establishment but didn't want to lose these gift certificates. Wings were dry and had a stringy chewy texture. I love their wings- this was my Last order. Potato skins they state are made fresh daily. They were sad and flat - not esthetic. No wo t order again. Steak was good but over cooked- we like rare to Med rare. I have eaten at Logans many, many times over the years. The food is good, as is the service. This visit I decided to try something that is a crapshoot at every restaurant that serves it. I ordered their gumbo. I'm really picky about gumbo. I make it at home and compare restaurant gumbo to my homemade. I really like Logan's buttermilk fried chicken. It's terrific, as are many of their dishes. The gumbo, however, and its being generous to even call it gumbo, is really poor. It is not a proper roux, just a flour gravy, served over sad rice. The sausage that should be andouille is even sadder than the rice. I don't know who developed this dish for Logan's, but they should either fix it as a proper gumbo, rename it so no one thinks that's what they will be served, or just take it off the menu altogether. Also, their crabcakes are just awful. Otherwise, my wife enjoyed her chicken strip and house salad, and as always, their rolls were, as always, great. read more

But my wife and I agreed--that was the worst steak we have had in a long time, maybe ever. No flavor, odd cut, and mine was undercooked. Had great service for a lunch I had ordered for one of my Doctors. Everything was packed neatly and the order was ready for pick up on time. The only down side was that one of my doctors ordered the ribs and shrimp which cost about $18 and it was a very small half rack of ribs only about 4 or 5 bones. The value for the money wasn't there at all. Other than that. My salmon and loaded sweet potato was amazing. I like Logan's but unfortunately it tends to be kinda hit and miss with the value for the food you get. Two stars are for the rolls lol, other than that I feel like Logan's is slowly sliding down hill. We had a waitress who seemed like she didn't care to be there. I ordered some new Smoked steakhouse bone in rib-eye and asked for it medium rare, food came out and the steak looked delicious. I cut into it an it was very very rare so I sent it back to get cooked to medium rare. Well 15 minutes went by and no sigh of our waitress, keep in mind I had a great view to the kitchen and had been staring at my steak that has just been sitting for 10 plus minutes and then another 5 went by as another waitress brought the steak out and of course it was cold so I simply turned it away. They closed about an hour earlier, everyone sitting at the bar waiting for me to leave. It was 8:55pm Second time My food was served in a dirty plate. A plate that apparently was not washed from the night before. I told the waitress . She said how gross and took it away to have it corrected. Some guy brought it back out two minutes later. Logan's Roadhouse is less than a mile from the Hampton off of TN-46 where I was staying. I've found most Logan's consistently good so I decided to have dinner here. I was seated immediately at a 2-top booth next to a 4-top table of men who were apparently upset about their meal. My server was correcting their issue which took several minutes. She did acknowledge me after a few minutes. After resolving their issues she greeted me and apologized for the wait. She took my drink order immediately and upon her return ask for my appetizer order. I had been drooling over the picture of Bacon On A Stick so I had to order. Let me say the Bacon On A Stick did not disappoint! It was a 1/2 pound of extra-thick cut bacon, smoked for 12 hours then grilled in a brown sugar glaze with a touch of spice and served on a stick. The bonus was the serving quart jar filled with fried onions strings served with a cup of Logan's original BBQ sauce. The bacon was chewy with a delicious smoked flavor plus easy to remove from the stick. So tasty that I ignored my server never brought my basket of fresh rolls after asking a few times. Don't overlook their large beverage section including the very popular hand-shaken teas and lemonades in several flavors (blackberry, strawberry, peach, mango) or, of course, unsweetened or sweet tea. The menu consists of all the Steakhouse favorites from soup and salads, burgers, fish and chips, steaks from sirloins, T-Bones to filets, many chicken options, meatloaf, ribs, chops, seafood and even fried chicken. Something for most I would think. I opted for the 12 oz. Sirloin prepared medium rare with a side salad and mashed potatoes topped with white gravy. I forgot to take a picture but it was a nice presentation. The steak was cooked perfectly, the salad was crisp and fresh and the mashed potatoes were delightful. Even though it took awhile my meal was delicious and would have been perfect if only I had a couple fresh baked rolls, LOL. My server just saved me the extra carbs. The desserts sounded amazing but I was already taking leftovers back to the hotel for a snack later. If I had ordered it would have been the Margarita Cheesecake made with their own margarita blend then topped with a strawberry sauce, whipped cream and strawberries. Doesn't that sound delish? Carrot Cake and a Mississippi Brownie were the other two options which looked scrumptious. My server gave it her best effort but she seemed overwhelmed with 3 tables all at different stages of dinner. When the fourth table was added toward the end of my meal, it was game over. I actually started to feel sorry for her. I think the table of 4 men complaining earlier rattled her. Regardless, dinner was delicious just a bit longer than I expected. We walked over from the Best Western, I had a New York steak and Julie had the Almost Everything salad. I was very happy with the steak and the sides of bbq beans and cole slaw. I also had one of their signature teas, non alcoholic for me, and found it delicious. The waitress was friendly and efficient, they happily customized Julie's salad too. I really appreciated the portions, plenty big but not belly busting steering wheel dinner plates! I have to mention the homemade rolls too, quite scrumptious! After a long 12 hour drive we saw Logan's Roadhouse next to our hotel. The aromas drew us directly to their door! We ordered the meatloaf, mashed potatoes, broccoli and a piece of cheesecake. The meatloaf was excellent and a hefty portion. It did not come with brown gravy which I am accustomed to but it didn't need any gravy because it was very moist and full of flavor. It was one of the best meatloafs I've ever had. Broccoli was fresh and delicious. My husband said the cheesecake was good. Staff was very nice. Great addition to this area, could use more work on their customer service. They pack it out here on Friday nights as there is not much else in the way of mid-level family dining in the area. A small annoyance at the start was that the bar area tabs could not be transferred to my table when I moved, so I had to close out my tab. The food took a long time in coming. I know it was crowded, but this can be foreseen by management who then schedule more cooks to work. I got the steak with fried onions on top and other onions underneath and the underneath ones were over-salted. The parking lot seemed too small; again, it was a busy night. I ended up getting on the curb and parking in the dirt. Don't think I can recommend this Logan's until the customer service issues are remedied. The peanuts are an upside. I had the salmon and the man had a bone in rib-eye which was the toughest rib-eye he and I had ever had. It was not good but it was cooked to a perfect medium rare. Since the pandemic started, there has been a notable uptick in nasty attitudes, but that seemed to be limited to consumers. That is, until today when we visited this Logan's location. We were seated at a table that wasn't level. It rocked back and forth so much that I feared our drinks might spill. So I requested another table. You'd have thought I was asking for the moon or something. I really don't like being made to feel like I'm inconveniencing you, when all you were doing is gossiping with your girlfriends. We were re-seated in another section, which proved much better. Our server was Michael, and he was awesome. He knows how to give good customer service, unlike the hostess. The food was mediocre, which is unusual for Logan's. Our beef tips were mostly overcooked and dry. The baked beans were good, smoky and flavorful, and the loaded mashed potato was acceptable. All in all, the highlight of the meal Michael, who took very good care of us. He invited us back again, but I think it might be a while. Maybe this location can find a new hostess with the most-ess... just so long as it isn't mostly attitude. That passive aggressive eyeroll thing is definitely not a plus in her line of work. Went in because they usually have really great baby back ribs. When we tried to order a full rack of ribs ,was told that we shouldn't because they are sold by the pound and people don't like the price When we asked if we could order two half racks we were told it was really hard to figure out the price. I'm not sure when they started weighing the ribs, it's fine if that's what they do but it should be priced per pound on the menu and estimated weight per rack. At that point let the customer decide. We were extremely discouraged to order the rack of ribs. We were not happy with this. Makes for a crappy date night. Will be a very long while if ever we go back. read more

Came here for a quick dinner after getting into Tennessee . There was 3 other people in the restaurant so we were hoping for fast service. The server came over asked for our drink orders and gave us a few minutes to browse through the menu. I decided to get the cedar plank salmon with asparagus and three cheese Mac and cheese. My friend got a mushroom skewer for appetizer. The mushroom skewer was cold and over salted. They did take it off the bill. My asparagus was the same the salmon was ok a tad over cooked. But still edible. The Mac and cheese to be honest tasted like Stouffers Mac and cheese from the oven. The rolls were amazing lightly sweet and with butter. I would say this is pretty standard for a chain restaurant the prices are not crazy. The food was not the. Best but not terrible. Would I recommend to go back probably not.
