Another layover stop as we head back south/home, we visited Roanoke Rapids,NC. Dinner this time was at Logan's Roadhouse. Yelps review was 3.5 and we couldn't get into the better steakhouse down the road. As we walked in, we all felt like a Texas Roadhouse vibe. They even chanted and clapped for a birthday. Their homemade (I think) bread to start they loved. Between 3 of us, we had a filet, a ribeye and a Ny strip. Unfortunately, we rated it all a 3. Steaks were very thin and way overcooked. Accidentally ended up here. But now we need to find a reason to come back. My son and I both had burgers. We both agreed they were the best burgers we have ever had...EVER! Our waitress, Amber, was very fast and helpful. Do yourselves a favor and stop in for a meal. I only wish I had gotten here earlier to try a steak. Typical steakhouse in a rural area. Friendly service. Steaks cooked to order though they weren't garnished or plated pleasingly. Very good green beans. Tasty drinks though bar was slow. read more

I ordered the club sandwich and I have never seen such thick slices of ham, turkey etc on a sandwich These cold cuts should have a lot thinner so people can bite into the sandwich more easily. I asked for mayonnaise and all they gave me was one single packet. The service was below average read more

Worst waitress of the year, everything was sitting in the kitchen I could see our steak salad and salmon salad sitting there getting cold and we hadn't even got our appetizer or rolls. Then she finally brings the kids meals and our cold greasy onion straws, we couldn't even eat them... then she brings our salads that I've watched on the counter for at least 10 min.... I would come back just for the rolls. The food was excellent. I had to return my steak since the first one was over cooked a little too much. But the server took it back without an issue. The second one was excellent, no steak sauce was required. Haley was fantastic even though she had two big parties she constantly checked on us. Would definitely come back. read more

We stopped in to grab lunch while traveling. We could see the sign from the road but I will admit - it was hard to get to, tucked behind a gas station and Dairy Queen off of a very busy I-95 exit. Once inside, we noticed that they are observing Covid restrictions (masks, sanitizing, and spacing). Unfortunately, that also meant they didn't have their signature peanut buckets available. We were seated in a booth in the bar area. A waitress immediately greeted us and took our order. The bar area was packed with a group of older gentlemen that all seemed to know each other...local regulars, I assume. They were having a great time which made the atmosphere fun. Our food arrived quickly and accurately. We were in & out in about an hour, and back on the road. read more

It's a great place to go eat. I saw Mike Stettler, general manager of the restaurant come to give my father a cooked medium well steak and my father said it was delicious. My family and I are recommending that people should come and eat here at this place . Special compliments to the chef for a job well done and give him 500 stars for outstanding job. I came here on 1/19/2019 at 4:00 PM. The waitress I had was amazing! She was really nice & amazing. The manager however, was a pure bitch. I ordered a Ocean Blue drink and I drunk 2 swallows of it and did not like it. I told the waitress and asked is there anything I can do. She went to ask the manager Dawn(however you spell it.) The manager came & said what is your problem. No hello, no how are you, no formal greeting just straight what is your problem. I told her about the drink she said you have to pay for it regardless whether you like it or not then walked away. I told the waitress. She apologized for her manager's rude behavior. Only reason I am giving 3 stars is because the Waitress was amazing & the food was good. The manager really turned me off with being rude. That is really sad that the MANAGER is acting that way towards guests. read more

I came one Sunday after church with a large group. They sat us down rather quick which was nice. Our group consisted of about 15+ people and there was only one server assigned to our table, which equates to a longer wait time on ordering and food. However, our server was extremely nice and did a great job. Their rolls are so good, I was full on them before my entree could come lol. I ordered their sirloin steak. Although it was cooked perfectly, it was bland. Highly disappointing. The steak had absolutely no flavor, almost as if it had been put straight on the grill without any seasoning. No one wants a bland steak. My sides were fine, the loaded baked potato and side salad, cant mess those up but so much. read more

Food was TERRIBLE. Service was not much better. The ribs were burnt. Wilted salad. The wait staff was too busy laughing and talking to properly take care of customers. When we went to leave there were multiple wait staff standing in the door way. I stood there waiting for them to move and was asked "what do you need". I said, out of here. I guess because it was on the interstate they are not worried about return customers. No need to worry about me returning. To this location nor any other Logan's. read more
