Don't let the website, the signage outside, or any advertisements fool you.. Breakfast was amazing! I love French toast and the French toast here is the absolute best! The hospitality was amazing! A must go if you ever roll into this sleepy town.

The worst Carolina BBQ sandwich & slaw I've ever had. It was eatable but not impressed. Staff stood around talking till finally I had to ask them to clear & clean the only available table so we could sit & order. This is a very small restaurant yet we stood in a line 5 people deep for 20+ minutes while the staff ignored the fact that we all needed to pay for our meals so we could leave. The fries were good though & our waitress was nice but over all the service was AWFUL! Good menu choices & cheap but not worth the hassle of poor service. I won't return to this establishment.

Cheese burger with mustard, slaw and onions!!!! Delicious!!!

So I'm in Roanoke Rapids, NC this past weekend and I have a hankering for burger that's different from what I get up in VA.

We I arrived we had two separate tables & had to squeeze in together to sit together. This would have been helpful to know when making the reservation. Overall food was a 4 out of ten. The highlight of our meal were the rolls and fries. The rolls were delicious and fresh. However, a few people in the party ordered chicken tenders and fries and they were almost black. When respectfully sent back they came back a light golden brown. Order I ordered their grilled chicken sandwich with mushrooms, cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes. My bread was soggy so I took off the bottom layer. It was just okay.

Cracker Barrell Team, Roanoke Rapids, NC: I am very grateful for the efficient, professional,…read more warm, kind and sincere treatment and service. Jessica, Tavis, Sandra. I was tasked with arranging the main entrée for the ECU North Medical Community Thanksgiving meal--with just three days' notice. I contacted Jessica at Cracker Barrel, the manager on call, who graciously attended to every detail. Together, we arranged for ham, cornbread, butter, and honey--carefully planned based on the number of people expected to attend. On the morning of the event, Travis, the manager on duty, personally took my call and assured me everything would be ready right on time. True to his word, he even called me back before I arrived to confirm that every detail was correct. When I arrived for pickup, everything was prepared, ready, and piping hot in serving trays--exactly as promised. Jessica and Travis worked seamlessly as a team to ensure every detail was handled in the most professional way. Sandra checked me out without hesitation--professional, warm, and friendly throughout the entire process. From start to finish, this team delivered not only excellent food, but exceptional service. Every promise was kept, every detail honored. I was under significant pressure to ensure that the meal reflected the highest quality for this special holiday gathering--especially as my husband is the Chief Medical Officer. Their professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail lifted that burden completely. What stood out most was not only the outstanding performance, but the genuine care reflected in their personalities and the relationships they share with one another and with their customers. I am deeply grateful for this experience and for a team that truly defines hospitality, teamwork, and professionalism at its best.
