2024- Yelp 100 Challenge - #60 Visited on 11/26/24 to have dinner with my family. Called ahead to reserve a table for 10-12 people. We I arrived we had two separate tables & had to squeeze in together to sit together. This would have been helpful to know when making the reservation. Overall food was a 4 out of ten. The highlight of our meal were the rolls and fries. The rolls were delicious and fresh. However, a few people in the party ordered chicken tenders and fries and they were almost black. When respectfully sent back they came back a light golden brown. Order I ordered their grilled chicken sandwich with mushrooms, cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes. My bread was soggy so I took off the bottom layer. It was just okay. read more

Food was awful. I could not even finish a burger . I called to make a reservation or just give a heads up that we had a large party. I would have much rather been told we couldn't be comfortably accommodated , than to have uneven tables smashed together in the middle of the floor. I felt like my back was up against the gentleman behind me . I think Ruby Tuesdays would have been better . This was definitely a one and done !! read more

I was sorely disappointed with the service. The wrong order came out and the waiter was extremely rude and condescending when discussing the situation. He proceeded act aggressively when we told him that the order was incorrect. The manager attempted to smooth things out but at that point our appetite couldn't be revived. I will not spend my money on disrespect. Hopefully they can do better with staffing. read more

What can i say the t bone was cooked perfect med rare great salad but more important our waitress is such a wonderful person so welcoming. I saw how she is with her other guests and how she goes out of her way to just make you feel so welcomed. Front of the house is so important i emphasize it all the time to establishments owners and i can say one thing as restaurant consultant and 30 years as a head chef this waitress is amazing. Whenever we pass through Roanoke Rapids, we have dinner at Logan's. We were there last Friday, February 27. We sat at a high top in the bar. As always, we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. What made the evening extra enjoyable was our waitress, Sammy. She welcomed us immediately and promptly brought our beverages. She was attentive and never intrusive. She knew just when to inquire whether or not we wanted our beverages refilled. But the extra special part was her delightful personality and terrific sense of humor. We had the best time interacting with her throughout the evening - we lingered extra long (the dinner rush had slowed by then) just to chat with her when she could stop by. We felt very welcome and look forward to next time (she is there most Friday nights). Sammy is a gem. read more

ABSOLUTELY NOT. I would never come back to a Logan's Roadhouse again. I don't even know where to begin. Upon entering, we were greeted and were told to select any booth. The seats are uncomfortable, but we were greeted by our server right away. She took our drink orders and gave us a couple minutes to order. We ordered and it took maybe 30-40 minutes for the food to come out. I understand if an establishment was busy, but there was plenty of empty space. I ordered The Logan, which it says is their biggest and best steak........ I honestly can say I hope that is not the truth. The steak was COLD when it came to the table, and it was super DRY. There was no flavor. I have been to many a steakhouses and this is by far the worst food I have ever had. read more

Stopped in alone for dinner and the place was busy. I sat in the bar and was promptly given a menu and they took my drink order. I ordered New York strip medium rare with mushrooms and a side salad when my drink arrived. The salad arrived cool, crisp and complete with all the topping. As I started on the salad the yeast rolls arrive fresh from the oven. Being busy they were out of rolls when I arrived hence their arrival after the salad. The steak was done just as ordered and was very flavorful and went great with the mushrooms. I do wish there had been a few more mushrooms. As the main course arrived live music began which fit nicely with the mood of the dining room. Service was very attentive with a team approach as all the wait staff in the bar made sure to check in on me. Tip: If you are alone or a couple and there seems to be a wait you will get great service and the same menu in the bar. read more

The staff was good. There were 3 different bartenders working, and I even tried something new (a Tye Dye tea - not to be confused with a Long Island). The Tye Dye has blue curaçao and raspberry - yummy! The Southwest barbecue chicken was delicious - it comes with barbecue sauce, cheddar cheese, mushrooms, bacons, tomatoes, and Brewski onions. I didn't get the onions, but the chicken wasn't lacking a thing. They of course have these hot yeast rolls, which they bring out at the right time with cold butter. I forgot to photograph those :-D I sat at the bar because it was a long wait for a table. They have a basic restaurant setup with lots of tables and booths seating. They have several TVs at the bar so I watched sports - a great way to end an evening. On a busy evening, alway see if you can sit at the bar! They will take care of you!! read more

I entered, and sat at the bar. The waitress/bartender was a medium level of busy. She brought me a beer pretty quick. A few minutes later, she took my order. 30 minutes later my food arrived, it took 10 more minutes to get condiments. The burger that was supposed to be medium rare was raw. You can't flash cook a frozen patty. I will not eat here again, service was not very good. read more

Giving it 4 rather than a five. Is only because it isn't an upscale restaurant . I will say this: They made me a Pittsburgh rare filet which was as good as anyone I ever had at many of the upscale expensive steak houses I go to . It was fabulous. And the baked potato. The best ever. ; the salad was wonderful . They prove you can get quality at reasonable prices . The manager was very friendly and informative !! I commend them. And hope management sees this . Service was okay. Food was Horrible! I ordered a prime rib sandwich medium rare. Prime rib was cooked well done. Taste was lacking as was presentation. Macaroni and cheese was nasty! The cheese came out of a can. My husband ordered a ribeye it was full of tendons in every bite. The quality of meats was just awful. His vegetable sides had absolutely Zero flavor. Recently gathered at Logan's for a family reunion. Approximately 20 adults and children. We were seated in a timely manner in a spacious private room. Chloe was our server. She was friendly and efficient. She got drinks and bread out quickly. All orders came out at about the same time so we all got to eat together. Worst service I've ever had. Waited 10 minutes for our drink order. Our appetizer didn't come out until our entree did. I asked for a well done steak and received rare. When I finally got my well done steak back my fries weren't on my plate and had to wait even longer. Got no apology from the waitress or manager. I have never given 5 stars until now. Tonia (Tanya/Tonya) was an absolute delight. It was Mother's day, the restaurant was pretty full, but she never wavered in her smile and joy of being there(Even though it was apparently mandatory, which I don't agree with, a mother should be able to have Mother's day off. I digress though, the salad was fresh, the steaks cooked perfectly, the yeast rolls were to die for. I would have no issues recommending Logan's, and ask for Tonia. We enjoyed our appetizer (Fried Mushrooms - came out hot and we both loved the horseradish dipping sauce!) My daughter and I both enjoyed our sirloin smothered in garlic onions! We drove from Suffolk, Virginia because we have had such a great experience in the past. Our waitress was amazing. Our rib eye was perfect!! Best I ever had in a restaurant. Traveling from North Carolina back to Delaware - and looking for a place to have a beer and some dinner. I got the 'large order' of hand-breaded chicken tenders. I've been in the restaurant business for 40 years and these were the scrawniest things I've ever seen referred to as chicken tenders. They were like chicken nuggets that had been pounded flat. It came with bland mac-n-cheese. Fries were okay. Service was fine. If I had checked out the bathroom first - I probably would have skipped it. Great steaks and food at a reasonable price. We were seated immediately by the host. Our server was attentive and courteous. The atmosphere was a bit loud but expected because it was very busy. As a server, I understand the frustration of a 17 top walking in 30 minutes prior to closing on a Friday night. Our basketball players and parents wanted a place to celebrate together while enjoying good food. Despite late night arrival, the staff provided a pleasant atmosphere and the food was well prepared. This is the dirtiest restaurant I have ever seen. The floors can't have been cleaned in years, if ever. The service was good, the food was decent, the atmosphere was okaaaay, but everything that should have been clean was not. I had to pause going up the couple steps to the bar to let a cockroach cross in front of me. We stayed because the parking lot was full, so we figured the food must be really good.
