This place is just cool! Free street bicycle rentals for going into town are a definite plus. There is a nice trail into town, too. While LOGE promotes experiencing the outdoors (and Central Oregon is Outdoor "Heaven") there is plenty of relaxation here that I didn't want to leave. I stayed in a Hostel bed and it was perfect for me as I hate paying an outrageous amount to just sleep in a bed. The staff was super friendly and even let me check in early. The cafe is adequate and there are many different types of board games for families and friends to play. You honestly can't beat the location, either. Perfectly placed between Bachelor and Bend. Oh, if you do stay in a Hostel bed, there is a very nice full kitchen to use for making/baking whatever your stomach desires. Cheers. read more

Stayed here at the Bunk House which is like a Hostel. Love the vibe of this place. Clearly they cater to the outdoor adventurer and enthusiast. Nestled in a grove of pines along the highway it's only minutes away from the Deschutes river along an easy walking path. The cafe and bar is an awesome place to chill and relax. Good beer, coffee and their breakfast sandwich is delish. Service is awesome and the facilities are very clean and well maintained. If you don't mind sharing a room with a stranger the bunkhouse is a great and cost effective way to stay here. Can't wait to come back. read more

We got to our room tonight to find the entire room disgusting. Hair all over the pillows & several hairs in between the bedsheets. The floors had chunks of hair & who know what all over the floor everywhere like it had never been cleaned. Nasty stuff stuck to the remote. Brown chunks of stuff stuck to the pillow. Chunks of something all over the microwave. We had family in the room next to us and their room was no better. It was so gross we had to leave & get a different hotel. I called to give them an opportunity to help us and they told us there was nothing they could do tonight. They will deal with it tomorrow so we left. I have never seen a hotel so dirty in my life. I can handle a hair or two or some dirt but this is absolute filth!! Very sad because it is a really cute place with a lot of potential. But we won't be going back. read more

The bad: climate control system does not work; cafe was weekly staffed and an earlier opening would be helpful; linens are poor quality- though the mattress was comfortable. When I booked LOGE as my hotel, I had no idea what to expect. However, I've definitely found a place I will be returning to so soon. I arrived on Thursday and was able to check in early with no issues. The woman working the front desk even suggested a few close by trails that I could hike which wouldn't require any extra gear (However the hotel did offer snow shoe rentals at a very reasonable price) I was impressed with the accommodations. The room was clean and trendy and resembled more of an apartment than your typical hotel. The room was also stocked with plenty of gear that you were welcome to use during your stay and could purchase if you chose to do so upon your departure. On Friday I got a call that the hotel's running water was out, but I was still welcome to stay if I was willing to deal with that. They provided water jugs and it really wasn't much of an issue for me at all. I was thankful to not have to move hotels and was impressed with the way the staff handled the situation. I spent a lot of Friday night in the super comfy front desk lodge drinking local beer and watching christmas movies with the guys who work at LOGE. Since I was traveling alone, I was grateful for somewhere I could enjoy a few beers and stay warm and the warm company was a welcome bonus. Saturday morning I headed back up to the front desk area hoping for some coffee which Jordan was able to whip up with some great latte art. I even stuck around for a few games of "go fish" with Jordan and Doug. If you're going to Bend-- Stay at LOGE! I cannot thank the staff enough for making my first solo trip such a great one. Every couple of years, I take my daughter to Bend to do a few days of mountain biking. We try to to this on a budget, so I'm always looking for a good place to stay for under $200 a night. When I ran across LOGE on Expedia, I was intrigued by the reviews and by the ability to leave our room and immediately jump on our bikes and hit the trails. So, first of all, the staff was outstanding. Check in was great. The staff gave us the rundown on the free bikes available for use and the rental bikes. We were a little early and our room was not ready yet, but they welcomed us to use the bathroom in the lobby to change into our biking gear and to park the rig there while we took our first ride. The room was nothing really fancy, but it was clean, nicely renovated, and very comfortable. The bed was nice and my daughter slept great on the sofa bed. Being able to pull our bikes off the rack and bring them into the room with us is a must when you're traveling with expensive bikes. The bike hangers in the room were a very nice touch, allowing us to secure our bikes but also have them out of the way. Being that this trip was all about biking, I loved the bike maintenance area, complete with a bike washing station. It was nice to be able to wash the dust off the bikes before hanging them in the room. The outdoor areas were great. We didn't get to wander around much or use the amenities, but just being able to relax in deck chairs in the sun after a long day of riding (and of course with some great beer from any one of Bend's stellar breweries) in a nice grassy area was a plus. The ONLY issue we had is that we lost the hot water in our room on the last day of our stay. Maintenance was not able to fix the issue so that we could shower after our final ride. The staff was great, though, and gave us access to the showers in the hostel area, which was just a short walk from our room. Overall, if you aren't looking for high end luxury, you can't beat this place! read more

The town of Bend is gorgeous. Entrada is located just a few minutes away. Great spot. However, the rooms are a bit antiquated and should be updated. Smelled old - and the furniture matched the smell. Who still has a tube tv in hotel rooms? There wasn't even cable-just old shows on old tv stations. Kind of like a time warp. The bathroom actually had a hole in the wall from someone who obviously opened the door waaaay too hard. There was no shampoo, conditioner, or lotion that you usually find in hotels. Also, their wifi barely works. Frustrating! They claim to have a "continental breakfast". Ha! Coffee, tea, nasty looking pastries, and bananas. That's all folks. We went out to breakfast. Hammock in the room?! Um...yes please! Also, they also placed a Yeti cooler in the room that can take with you on day trips while you're staying at this magical place. Pet-friendly, great outdoor area, heated pool, jacuzzi, and a cool outdoor store with lots of things that you will want to spend your hard-earned dollars on! There's a community smoker outside. I mean...it's pretty awesome. The assistant manager, Ross, tells me that they are in the process of adding more details such as a cafe with 10 Barrel beer, tent camping, a hostel, and deluxe rooms. I'm definitely going back for outdoor concerts, movies, etc. This place is a great find! Happy that we got snowed on during our backpacking trip and retreated to this haven. We booked 2 rooms here with my grandson's lacrosse tournament. The room itself was OK, but that's were it ended! This is a Expensive motel with no Customer Service at all.... the buildings are spread out across terrible parking lots, there is no lighting at all at night! No internet or cell service at this place, I called to talk to someone and was told that was normal. I asked him why they would not have phones in the rooms for people to use in case of an Emergency. The front desk is only staffed till 6 or 7pm or if something was to happen to a child you would have to drive them yourself to the Hospital! THIS IS NOT A SAFE PLACE TO STAY! They were short staffed and for 2 days there was no maid service, we paid the rate, they just didn't do their job. WE all emailed to report this and was told we would get a 10% discount, well that's not OK either! I tried to call the management in the main office and no one ever calls back! If I wanted to go camping it would not have cost us over $200 per night to do so. Not happy! read more

You will not know where the office is, there is none. You will not know where the front desk is, there is none. Everything has excess signage, but no signs for office/front desk and no signs for where the loop of room numbers start. You will drive around it and still not find your room that you booked online, so you will have to drive back to the entrance and park blocking traffic to get out and go into the cafe. There a dull person will say that is the front desk and point to where your room is. You will go back out to your car and realize you do not know where to park to access your room, because the unhelpful staff didn't care to say. So you will have to go back into the cafe and ask where you are supposed to park to access your room. She will act drained to bother to have to tell you to park behind the front building, and then you will have to ask if the back of your building has your room number and you will be told no. Then you get back to your car and drive around again and see that you will be forced to make trips back and forth to the parking lot behind your building to bring in your things, when all the other rooms have car spots right at their doors. Not you, you have to work. Not only are you doing the office's jobs, you are schlepping loads. When you do get to your room, the door is already open. The light switch does nothing, many lamps bulbs are burnt out. The room is freezing and the floor is plastic and the walls are paper, it is like a shack. You are so exhausted and put out that you go straight to take a bath, but when it begins to fill there are someone's pubes floating in it. During COVID-19? No thanks. You start the wall heater that runs like a diesel semi and crawl into bed and wish you'd just chosen motel 6. This place is a vending machine -- you do all the thinking all the communicating all the work. It is a gimmick, not a comfortable place whatsoever. read more

Booked a last minute stay here last year for Thanksgiving and had a great experience with my partner. The room was spacious, clean and had all necessary amenities you'd need. Hot tub area was a bit sad looking but did the job after a long mountain bike ride. Only bummer was waking up to kids screaming and playing in the room next to us. I've stayed here twice. Both times the place was mostly empty which is why I'm giving it high marks. The guys working there are great and have always gone above and beyond. It's away from the insanity that Bend is becoming. It's 20 minutes to Bachelor. It has a great hot tub which must have been party central in the 70's and 80's.... Both times we've been there we've gotten rooms across from the pool and hot tub (my wife goes in twice a day), each time the rooms were more than adequate: large, clean, microwave, mini-fridge, large TV (non-HD), wifi, coffee maker. On the downside the rooms have "paper" thin walls so if you have loud neighbors it's a problem. Also it's pet friendly so not sure what would happen if dogs start barking, someone would have to move or leave. Anyway, we'll continue to pay $99 a night for quick access to skiing, biking, and hot tub afterwards. read more

This place is so awesome! Truly an outdoorsy persons paradise. Staff was laid back, cool, but also super responsive and helpful. Bike mechanic on site was legit. Dan totally knows what he is doing. Tragger BBQ's, hammocks, life size Jenga, etc. They supply all those little things you forget like phone chargers, beer bottle openers, etc. They really thought through everything in terms of what people want/need. Super impressed! Plus they have the super hip "cool" factor. I missed check out time on last day because had a pretty bad crash on my MTB. They were so cool about it and took care of me because they were genuinely concerned about me. They even gave me a souvenir. I will be telling all my friends especially MTB friend that this is the place to stay in Bend. read more

This review is from my visit in early 2022. This place was the most filthy, disgusting, unsanitary lodging I have ever stayed at, and my experience there totally broke my trust in the hospitality industry. We arrived late and by the time we unloaded our car after a 14 hour drive in icy conditions and realized the state of this place, the office was closed. Even our dog was uncomfortable, and hid in the corner. There was no mattress protector on a stained mattress (totally a health-code violation), which had thin bedding with hair and stains on it with fabric pills. Even hospital bedding would had been a luxury in comparison. Fortunately, I had brought some emergency blankets, which I used as a barrier between myself and the filth, and I slept on top of in effort to not expose myself to the disgusting mattress and bedding. The paint was literally peeling off the walls in the bathroom. The fixtures were all gross. Moldy shower curtain and tub with hair in it. It had a 'heater' that ran so loudly off and on all night through a hole in the wall, making it impossible to sleep. And yet it didn't manage to even keep the room warm enough. This place is the literal definition of a HOLE IN THE WALL. We promptly found other lodging and checked out as soon as the office was open in the morning. I felt physically gross after that experience and showered immediately after getting to our last minute AirBnb, and I washed our blankets. It's been a year and a half and that place still gives me the creeps. I was reminded of it after driving past another one of their other locations recently, and the experience still lingers. I'm very careful now about researching lodging ahead of time. read more

My buddies and I have stayed here over last four years for a cycling event. Rates have gone up, and they're doing extensive remodeling. Nice staff, but it appears they no longer do any houskeeping during stays. Bed wasn't made, towels on floor not picked up, and garbage not taken out of room. Final straw was that many of the hot tub jets don't work. Either management has dropped the ball on housekeeping, or someone's not doing their job. Likely won't be back. read more

We stayed here one night during a road trip where were looking for pet friendly hotels. I was very happy with the Entrada Lodge. It is a motel, so don't expect luxury accommodations or breakfast, but the entire property was very well maintained and we had a comfortable stay. One potential drawback is that the front desk is not staffed 24 hours a day. We arrived after 11pm, so one of the staff called and asked if we were going to show up (we did), and they had to wait in order to check us in. I wasn't aware of this 11pm deadline, so FYI for other travelers. But they did stay and wait for us, which was great. The location is the best part of this place. You can walk right out of your room and on to some great trails. This was fantastic for us and our dogs. I would definitely stay here again as a result. read more

I'm laying in a hammock in my hotel room as I right this review this place is perfect for the minimalist who just wants a cool, outdoorsy style experience. It's also super dog friendly (no additional charge) and they have an awesome bike rental on site! The only complaint is no coffee in the rooms... you have to go to the cafe. But the coffee was delicious. There's a pool, hot tub and great outdoor seating with live music on saturdays. We had a fantastic two night stay at the lodge! We'll definitely be back when the weather is a little warmer (and on the weekend!) so we can take full advantage of all that's offered: fire pits, bikes, smokers and grills, a pool, outdoor movies and live music?! Plus two trails right off the property, perfect for doggo (who is more than welcome)! This truly is the place for the adventure loving individual. From the moment we got there, they were friendly and attentive. Thanked us for coming and said they were glad we were here. What?! They had a free movie in the lawn Friday and a live band on Saturday and a cooler of beverages! Had a few games out and some beautiful lights and even a yummy food cart on the premises! Hot tub and pool were great! Saturday night we bought soup and took it to the office and they cooked it for us! This is a fake nice hotel. They have good beer and recognizable brand names (Traeger, Rumpl, Miir, etc.) to distract from the actual quality of the rooms. The intention of Loge is great but unfortunately the execution just doesn't cut it. Within the first 5 min you can see this place is an old motel with a coat of paint and trendy finishes but it's just putting lipstick on a pig. Worst part was, while it seems clean on the surface the smell is dirty, moldy and old. It seems a good deep cleaning is in order to erase decades of heavy use ànd partying. Loud climate control, ancient along with the furnishings. The price should be under $75 at the most and then I'd expect what we got. My advice... Look elsewhere. My boyfriend and I stayed at LOGE in Bend for 4 nights, we really enjoyed the atmosphere that it showed. When first arriving at LOGE, we were told the wrong room through a text message service, and our room was not cleaned, and we let the front desk know the Receptionist was so kind and sweet, it was her first day she was so accommodating. The General manager came in and spoke with us to inform us that he had just been promoted and worked on the issues. The rooms were very nice and due to the inconvenience, they provided us with a free drink! Overall the stay at LOGE was amazing, and the staff at LOGE were so amazing as well. The rest of the trip was a breeze and the staff was so kind to help us with how to set up a paddleboard we rented and allowed us to take a bike lock for the bikes we rented as well. I would totally recommend going back because the staff was so kind, and the overall room was nice after being cleaned. If you are looking for a place that is outdoors and you can rent gear for outdoor. The location of the hotel is perfect! 25 min away from the National Forest where you can swim or paddleboard, and only a 15-20 min bike ride to downtown Bend from the hotel as well. Not to mention there are a hammock and bike racks in your room! As well as the coffee and beer they provided for us were so good! I can't wait to go back again. This place is awesome and here's why: *Rooms are freaking sweet- decorated great, comfy beds, cool amount of storage, fridge and microwave, lotta bathroom counter space and decent cable tv and WiFi for being damn near in the woods. But the best is a cozy little hammock dangling in the middle of the room for your leisure. Anyone who is not in hammock will be extremely jealous. *Location- right on the edge of town where seemingly really nice neighborhoods are and the woods of the deschutes starts getting thick. Head up the road toward the mountains and you're in the prime area for paddle boarding, mountain biking and fly fishing. * Outside the room- there's tons of bikes you can rent with bike trails right next to the camp, chill areas with a fire pit to hang out at, a pool that I didn't have the pleasure in trying and coffee and beer in the lobby. Overall I would for sure stay at the loge again and I'd be really surprised if you have a great experience when you stay there too. read more

The stars are for the location only. Upon entering the building to check in, you immediately get assaulted with loud music, something a tired traveler should not be subjected to. I get it, you think it's trendy, I think it's obnoxious. A long road trip and all I want is peace and quiet. We get to the room and I can tell that they are trying to make something old, cool again. I like that, it's a great premise. Unfortunately, the rooms are dirty. The floors are dirty (white socks tell the truth of that), bathtub has someone else's hair on the walls and stuck in the drain, floor around the toilet had obviously not been clean for some time. All the baseboards are dirty, it's just not clean. This is not a one off either. They originally tried to put us in a room in an area that was not suitable. That room was dirty as well. Your motel is only as good as it's staff and sadly, your staff couldn't clean their way out of a paper bag. Maybe focus more on that instead trying to elevate your "cool factor". read more

I want to love this place so much and I wanted to believe the two star rating was a little low but unfortunately it lived up to the two stars. Upon arrival the sink was dirty with hair in it. Coffee mugs they want you to use while you were there had coffee from the previous people plus no coffee stocked in the room. Holes in the bathtub wall. Floor was pretty dirty. Now I get it it's Bend and we loved being able to hang our bikes inside and enjoyed the hammock while watching TV. The latte was yummy in the lobby but a bit overpriced. This concept is a fabulous idea but you need staff that actually care about the cleanliness of the place as much as they do about getting off work to go do their own activities. I'm good with a motel 8 as long as it's clean. At 250.00 a night you better make sure you staff knows how to make things sparkle. .........Oh and I had to come back and add one more thing. DON'T advertise WiFi when yours is terrible and doesn't work 90% of the time! read more

Let me start with I really love the idea of this hotel, the location was amazing! its pet friendly, not busy easy to park and great vibe. Now the down sides- The rooms do need attention the "update" is cost effective work at best. it is not a long stay type of hotel, 3-4 hangers and a filling cabinet for clothes? I guess? and a weird basket thing that I still don't know what it was for, its got a cooler in the room and a head lamp, bike racks etc etc, again cool idea for sure but room design execution was lacking as far as usability. The Hammock is cool but also in the way I just took it down, not to mention there is no weight warnings and there was no way that with all the creaking it made I was gonna sit in it and bust out the ceiling. and the lobby suggested sit in it and if it breaks we will change you rooms, no dude already did that once. They state that they do a room refresh every 2 nights for a 4 day stay, I'm not sure if I was lied to or forgotten but I stayed for 8 days and never ONCE had someone refresh my room and I requested a refresh twice. and then just gave up, figured they just gamble that no one stays longer than 4 days. I did end up getting a room re fresh but it came with a room move,one day I returned to my room looking for the refresh I requested, only to find my tub bubbling poop water up from it, so ya thats a Sh@tty way to end your day. so long story short to get a clean towel you need to move rooms. a few have talked about the thin walls and yes that is true, they are thin this is a 1970s hotel and still has 1970s insulation. The driveway has a few unmarked dips that will eat a bumper or something else off your car if you don't pay attention its an OK place for a quick stay, I stayed for a longer time than they are set up for it seems. its fine, its got a great vibe and the idea is stellar its just not being executed. I think we all live in a world that basics at a hotel are not hip or trendy they are the expectation now, so when you go to a hotel that costs as much or more than another chain, I don't think that getting fresh towels is to much to ask for. I understand the good vibes and no worries attitude that is presented, but they have a long ways to go before its ran as a proper  business. The efficiency and lack of help need to be a priority. They definitely need help in the housekeeping. We had the same bedding as the previous occupants, I wiped the tub down with a tissue and was grimy brown, there was pet hair everywhere, the hot water pitcher still had water in it, the furniture had not been wiped down for a long time and the toilet had urine running down the base and the room had a very weird smell. Walking by the housekeeping room, there was so much dirty bedding piled up and it looked very overwhelming. Check out time is at 11am we didn't show up until 5:30 pm and our room still had not been checked on and was dirty. The nightime front desk staff were very helpful and were very efficient, the morning staff were very incompetent. On a good note, the way the rooms we're decorated was amazing and this establishment will be a very cool place to come back to once all the kinks are taken care of. read more

Context: we arrived during a very busy weekend--paid around $250, which was way, way too much for the motel, not matter how renovated. It's an updated motel, perfect for mountain bikers (cleaning station and maintainance area) or other outdoorsy folks. A huge group met to celebrate a birthday and seemed to have a great time--it's perfect for families traveling together or for a reunion. There are gas fire "pits", bbqs, a hot tub, a pool--plenty of areas to relax. There are games for kids or big kids in the main area, and yoga on Sundays. Trails are right off the property, making running very easy. It's a fabulous place for all those reasons. That said, some folks might be put off by the merchandising in the rooms (it's like stepping into IKEA and having everything marked for sale). The vibe is also hipster/outdoor cool--and the front staff seemed very helpful and friendly to that sort of guest and less warm to aging folks like us. Finally, paying for coffee seemed a bit ridiculous when we paid top dollar (granted, it was a ridiculous weekend at $250--don't pay that amount!) So, this is a love-it-passionately (or not) place. They are nailing the mountain biker summer camp vibe, but need to put some effort into the "comfortable stay" vibe. The air conditioner units in many of the rooms are ancient and don't cool the rooms despite being noisier than a jet engine. Notified the front desk about the hot room (it was August), who replied that maintenance would come but they never did. Also, WiFi is unreliable to the point of being unusable, the sheets are rough, the hand soap was completely empty, and it's loud (it's a motel, not a hotel). Came here a year ago during the renovation and didn't have the best experience (mostly customer-service related, my credit card was charged twice for the stay and the assistant manager (RR, a holdover from the now-defunct Entrada days) was extraordinarily rude, passive-aggressive, and downright nasty about having to correct it), but though we'd give them another try post-reno. I imagine the hostel would be perfect for the teen/college traveling biker on a budget (though do not have first-hand experience of the hostel), but the price ($250 for a single queen) of a room is likely too much for the kind of person who doesn't mind putting up with the rough edges, and the rooms and amenities (post renovation) aren't nice enough for those willing to spend the money. Tons of young kids crowding up the hot tub and pool. Save yourself the headache and stay at Seventh Mountain instead. read more
