After 12 years of consistently good service at the Thousand Oaks Logix branch, I'm shocked at how badly things went during a recent visit. My mom and adult daughter--a long‑time customer--came in for a simple appointment to open a new joint account. What should have taken minutes turned into an hour of condescension and obstruction from the teller, Chris. Instead of helping them through a routine process, he questioned their ability to "manage the account," spoke down to them, and dragged out every step. These are two fully capable women who have handled their finances for years, yet they were treated as if they were incompetent. The tone was dismissive, patronizing, and frankly humiliating. It wasn't until I left work and came in myself--calm, direct, and simply insisting the account be opened--that anything actually moved forward. Only then did Chris suddenly become able to do the job he should have done from the start. The whole experience felt disrespectful and unnecessary. After more than a decade of loyalty, this was enough to make me ready to take my business elsewhere. Not Recommended - Phone Support Is a Nightmare I do not recommend banking at Logix Credit Union. While the in-person service at the actual branch has been very good, the phone support is absolutely the worst I've ever experienced. I was on hold for over 2 hours just trying to get help with a few simple questions. When someone finally picked up, the service was unprofessional, and it was clear the employee was overworked and overwhelmed. It made what should have been a quick call into a frustrating ordeal. I couldn't find the answers online, which is why I called in the first place. Unfortunately, getting help over the phone is such a hassle that it completely overshadows the good experience I had at the branch. For comparison, I can call Bank of America and get help right away. Logix needs to seriously invest in better phone support -- until then, I can't recommend them. read more

Wow, so disappointed in Logix they use to be great. Terrible customer service including corporate. There credit card gets holds on it every forth charge you make on it and you have to call to find out what the new issue is. I had a savings account where they match an APY percentage and you have to call for that so I did, they told me it was submitted and they would get back to me which they didn't. I called them to find out what was going on and they told me they were not going to match the APY I submitted, SO they took are money and stopped paying any interest. We will be removing all our money from Logix's, couldn't be more disappointed in who they are today... DONT USE THEM, GO TO A DIFFERENT CREDIT UNION read more

Shitty bank overall and this location is especially awful. Possibly the worst customer service of any bank in America, they'll lock your account and then customer support will not answer the phone. This is a BANK, where people keep their life savings, it's not a god damn hair salon. Other banks have 24/7 customer service. Now, this particular location is run by a bunch of fucking zombies. The receptionist is nice but the banker I worked with was absolutely no help and spoke to me like a robot, I'm almost certain he was on something. I can't believe this is a real credit union. They make it as hard as possible to transfer to a new bank. My account has been locked for days despite customer service telling me it would be unlocked in "30 minutes". I had some sensitive papers that I needed help with. I tried calling the 800 number for help and they said what I needed could not be done. I didn't believe that, so I went to the Newbury Park Branch. I was greeted by Danielle. She is the first person you see as you enter the branch. She is so nice, kind and helpful. She said the Branch Relationship Mngr Edgar Chicas would be available in a short while, he was finishing up a phone call, so I waited. Mr. Chicas came out we went into his office. I then explained my complicated situation to him and asked if he would be able to help me. He read over what I brought with me and he said "YES" he most definitely could and would. He signed the paperwork and said that if I ever had something that needed to be done, to bring it to him and he would see if he or someone else would be able to help me. Who does that anymore! Not good! My son has excellent credit, makes great money and has been at his job for five years. He's trying to get an auto loan, and they're telling him he needs a cosigner what the hell? His credit is about 740 with nothing negative on it. Find somewhere else to do your banking. Also, I should mention the loan officer hung up on him. Another thing... if you happen to be retired and on Social Security, they might not approve you for a loan, since you're not "working". This is not my situation..... but just saying. I would also like to add, the loan agent neglected to submit some important information to the underwriter, which contributed to the denial. When my son was speaking with the underwriter, he mentioned two different forms of income which he had submitted to the loan agent. The underwriter responded, the loan agent DID NOT submit BOTH incomes! read more

A bank in which you do not feel pressured to start an account and more of a family oriented feel than any bank I have ever been apart of. William "Billy" Santangelo was as friendly and as well qualified as they come. I walked in just to talk about possibly opening an account. I left with a line of credit, checking and savings account. William was very informative, professional and did not pressure me. He set me up with the facts and then let me decide. Hassle free. Logix did a great job in hiring William and I am now a proud member of the logix family. That's what this branch and bank provide a family. The best part was I earned 150 bucks for signing up with logix when I met three different categories of bonuses. Actually that wasn't the best part the best part was the next day William took time out of his day to call me and make sure I didn't have any follow up questions and or concerns and gave me a few pointers in how I can improve my credit. I had a poor experience with this credit union. I applied for a HELOC (home equity line of credit) for a needed expense that had a deadline. I was told that the loan would be funded by the deadline and it was not. I called the several loan officers several times and they were rarely available. Every time I was actually able to talk with my assigned contact person, he hadn't done anything from the previous time we spoke. I felt like I was herding cattle, poking and prodding to get the process moved along. I know of people who have gotten a HELOC loan funded in a week. I'm sitting at 30+ days, the expense I needed the money for is now going to cost thousands more, and I'm told the HELOC might be funded "sometime next week". Very poor service. I recommend that you look elsewhere for banking services. read more

Have to update... I received a wonderful thank you from one of the representatives at Logix, if that's not great customer service, I don't know what is! I decided to open a savings and checking account with Logix Federal Credit Union after my landlord briefly mentioned how much she loved the excellent customer service and the wonderful cash back rewards you can earn by having an ongoing balance in your savings and checking accounts. This piqued my interest, I mean who doesn't like to earn money without working 40+ hours a week to get it? So I went on to read more about the company, and the more I read the more I was sold on opening a second checking & Savings account. I like that this bank actually cares what the consumer thinks and actually has a forum in which consumers can leave feedback and you actually get a response and see results. One of the biggest draws for me is that I'm a bit of Type A personality when it comes to particular things in my life, my finances being one of them and I try to keep my checking account current and while yes, I know it's all about checks and balances and registering your purchases and waiting for our checks to be cashed, I really enjoyed the part of bill-pay that would deduct amounts over $100 sent out to companies and/or personal parties, it kept my account looking clean and that's the way I like it. The bank I am currently with used to have this function and then took it away when they updated their bill pay system, they also took away some of the electronic payments for utilities and this just doesn't work for this anal Annie. The Logix website is easy to navigate and there is so much you can do when handling your money, I love that there is a money mover account that lets you transfer money between your Logix account and any other financial institution you may be with. All in all I'm very pleased with my choice. They have a wide array of ATM spots that are surcharge free, you can go into a Walgreens and use the ATM machine in there without being charged and since they do not have a Logix branch here in Ventura, this is a great benefit, plus the fact that you can make deposits at any of the local credit unions, VTA county Credit union, CBC, and so on. I only wish I'd seen the coupon to earn $150, darn... as I chose to open my account via the web due to the drive to TO would not be possible due to my work schedule. Shucks! read more

Besides getting over the weird name and the drive to Thousand Oaks I am now understand his insistence. The representative who helped me was Araceli. Working with Saeed and the Logix Team has been nothing but a delight!!! I can tell these guys & gals are smart and I enjoy working with smart individuals. I quickly saw that they are doing things correctly here. I am very glad I am moving my financial matters with Logix. If you think about it, financial matters are personal. I am very glad I am moving my personal financial matters with Logix. Customer service was magnificent. I experienced a very friendly and down to earth bunch, they also were able to assist me in a professional and pragmatic manner. For example I really liked how Saeed responded to my messages promptly. It was such a smooth and quick process in applying for loans with him. Every time I walked into the Logix Building, I got that feel good feeling from them. There is always someone at the front who welcomes you. I can tell they are great people and that they have a good sense of humor too. Two thumbs up to the hiring manager/(s). Keep on hiring the one's who are well mannered and educated and who aren't a stick in the mud. It really makes a world of a difference! I initially was helped in getting a secured loan and was approved at a great rate. This came after disappointments from larger banks who just didn't offer these types of loans, or simply wasted my time with phone calls and back and forths... it was obvious that the bankers at these other major banks didn't know what they were doing. One major bank even ran my credit twice and then told me in the end I was "declined"! It is a lot of me to take some hours off work and then not really be told things from the get-go. If you want someone to waste your time and theirs then go to another bank, because Logix didn't do that to me. With Logix I was approved within a couple minutes and the process was expedited by Saeed's immediate action (I don't know about you but I like that in service). Because of my positive experience, a few day's later I decided to re-finance my auto loan with Logix. They told me over the phone what I needed to bring, and how much money I should bring for DMV fees and etc. I believe I was in and out of there in about 30 minutes. They have a great radio stream playing in the background with great music and the complimentary coffee was making my morning great so it didn't feel like 30 minutes. I ended up getting a great rate and a lower monthly payment for my Toyota Tacoma and some add-on's that I didn't have before! I really want to say that not once did I feel a resistance of what I should and shouldn't do with my refinanced choices. The choices were left up to me. The process was even more swift than that of my first experience. In the end Logix helped me out one last time with consolidating my credit cards. Asif (aka Jay) is in the process of helping us refinance our home for a lower interest rate. Both Kristal and Jay have been incredibly helpful through the loan applications and upfront about qualifications, fees, etc. They have answered all of my questions, no matter how tedious or repetitive, and have done so in a timely, professional and courteous manner. Every staff member has greeted my husband, our two toddler boys, and me with a smile each time we have come in to the branch.
