My afternoon treat that keeps me going. Nice tiny shop to meet a friend or chill alone. Dining inside and outside while you munch on their fresh baked goods. Really cool coffee shop that reminds me of the places that I used to go to in Europe. It has a really nice patio that's shaded with plenty of seating. and the inside has an urban feel to it. While people watching, I also noticed a very diverse age demographic which I don't generally see at most coffee shops. This is definitely a perfect coffee date place. My biggest surprise is that it didn't have a whole lot of people considering how good the coffee is. The only downside, if any, is the parking situation; which isn't Lola's fault, but just something to prepare for. I will definitely be back. read more

Unfortunately, I'm no longer a fan. The quality has decreased. I love the owner and believe he worked hard for the success of this coffee shop, but...they must train the baristas to make every drink with care. I came around 5pm and it was clear the barista was busy in the back and wanted to finish whatever he was doing instead of making my drink because i seemed to have interrupted even though they close at 6. He made the mocha within seconds and i couldn't even taste the coffee or chocolate. Low quality drink. Tasted like lukewarm milk with sugar. I asked for extra hot but got lukewarm. Couldn't even finish it and threw it in the trash. Last week i had a similar experience. Sad that my favorite coffee shop in phoenix is no more...farewell. read more

Long story short- I'm addicted to this place... when I'm getting a coffee, I'm usually super lazy and want to drive through someplace- Lolas has single-handedly change that.. I have fallen so in love with his coffee that I will literally walk in to go get my coffee. Which may not sound like a lot to some of you but trust me it's a fete for me. Every single time I get the iced Blanco with oat milk, but I get their whip topping that they make on it. The whip topping is like a coffee cream. I don't know, but it is so good. Every time I get coffee somewhere else in Phoenix, it never compares. The barista's are great and friendly and kind. The shop itself is adorable and has the cutest little courtyard in the back to hang out and enjoy your coffee. If you're visiting Phoenix, you absolutely have to have this coffee. In Phoenix for one night and spent a long time scouring Yelp for the best coffee shop in the area. This place did not disapoint! The ambiance inside and out was so cute and the coffee/food were delicious. I got a cafe blanco w/ whip and the breakfast burrito of the day and both were amazing. They have a breakfast burrito and sandwich of the day. I did not try the pastries but was very tempted. Service was quick and friendly. Being from CA, I was a little nervous with people inside unmasked, but those are the rules in Arizona and there was hand sanitizer out and staff were masked. Totally different vibe from Lux, which most in the valley know it's where all the cool kids are at. Sometimes, it's a bit too much for a Saturday where you just want to have a breather~ I came by for my daily dose of caffeination and a mini study sesh and loved how small and quiet Lola was! Simple menu, fresh made pastries, quick service and calm, quiet environment. Definitely no music blasting here, it's more of an acceptable background noise. Even the patrons were decently quiet and some stepped out to take their calls. I just got a regular latte, no flavored syrup and no sugar for me. I wanted to taste their coffee and boy was it good! Not tangy or overly acidic and no burnt coffee beans, thank you! (I'm glaring at you Starbucks*) And boy, the caffeine kick in this small cup was awesome. I didn't grab a pastry, but saw the blueberry muffin/upside down cake sell out within the 1-2 hour stay of being there. The staff is pretty quick and got to see regulars come in and conversate with the staff. Lola is pet friendly too! Tables along the wall, couch and chairs, as well as communal tables. Wish there were more outlets available, I saw only one during my visit underneath the large painting. If you're looking for a place not to be planted in front of your laptop, there's tables and seating out front and in the back- which is lovely if you're looking to bask in the sun and have a strong cup of coffee. I'm in love. Lola café caramel love. The best coffee taste sensation is served up here with a smile. What is their secret to make this so smooth and creamy without any over-sugared taste, but with the caramel flavor hinting through perfectly? My breakfast also included the tortilla espanola, which was satisfyingly yummy with potatoes and eggs in the layers of goodness. It is offered warmed up or as is. I had it warmed. My go-to here is the cafe blanco. It's similar To a white mocha but way better and much more balanced/less sweet. I've been to both their Roosevelt location and Arcadia location and enjoy both. I always build my own breakfast burrito and it never disappoints! I order the Arcadia location to do work and the Roosevelt location to socialize or pick up! read more

One thing I noticed about my move to Phoenix is that there aren't as many cozy places to study as there are in Portland. I started to wonder where people go to get work done when they are tired of reading or working in their own homes. Lola Coffee is a nice cafe that gave me back those Portland vibes. The ambiance and decor are perfect and there is a lot of natural light from the large windows. I also enjoyed that this cafe isn't as crowded, uncomfortable, and stuffy as Lux. HI Ya'll, I have been to Lola numerous times & finally am taking time to write- today, WONDERFUL Cafe' Borgia (an orange flavored Mocha); the prices have stayed the same since I first checked them out over 2 yrs. ago-- $4.75 for a 16 oz. espresso drink like the mocha's. Whole milk is always good there... Thank you Generous Baristas... Also, their nutella muffins are awesome. They have interesting music playing, easy toAccess wi-fi & several outlets... Nice windows streaming in light or the patio is pleasant too. May Lola continue to succeed. :) (just bring ear buds if you need to focus on something specific as the volume of music is on louder side.) Go Lola! read more

Every time I think about this place I think about all the great music the Kinks played! I loved their music and I love this coffee house. The coffee is served exactly the way you want it and it tastes perfect. The people who are there seem to understand the world. The food offerings are wonderful and our group ate two different breakfast yummies-one of which had a decidedly Mexican flavor. Parking can be difficult and the inside seating capacity is limited but the coffee experience is worth all the petty inconveniences. Go for Lola and go for gold. read more

I came here with a friend after a relatively disappointing brunch nearby. I was impressed by the interior decor, vibe, and various seating options. There were a lot of people working/studying on their laptops inside the coffee shop. Very hipster and chill here! I got an iced latte - they only offer the standard milk options: whole, 2%, almond, soy, and coconut. Wish they had oat milk, which seems to be popular nowaday. The coffee was OK - could have stronger coffee aroma. Maybe their hot coffees are better. Will try next time. Overall, I would definitely come here to work or chill if I happen to be in this neighborhood. However, I wouldn't drive 30mins just for this like I would do for the Henry on the weekend. read more
