Being in an old storefront, this is not the most accessible space: a step up to get inside, step up into the booths, high seats at the bar, only a couple large ground level tables at the back. The bathroom was very small, not big enough if you needed to fit in a wheelchair. Staff was friendly and checked in with us a lot. We both ordered Burgers, which we each ordered medium but both were very red in one spot, just a bit too rare. Overall, a casual spot to eat in downtown Elizabeth. read more

My partner and I decided to sit at the bar after waiting by the entrance of the restaurant for about 5-10 minutes. We weren't greeted nor acknowledged so we didn't know if it was open seating or if we had to see a host. We are not from here. Anyway, we sat at the bar for an additional 20 minutes and the bartender never came to us. However, was quick enough to make drinks for her regulars that arrived way after we did. Finally, we decided to leave. If you go online to their page their motto is "Cheap Drinks, Lousy Food, Rotten Service" and they obviously lived up to their ROTTEN SERVICE. Visited this place on a recommendation from a friend on our drive to Galena (only like 15 min away) and man...what a treat! I had their burger and fries and they were delicious! Great homemade burger from what I assume is locally sourced beef. Perfectly layered with different ingredients...really hit the spot. The fries were also very crispy and very well seasoned! Service was great! It's a small town bar, so plenty of locals, but it did not deter from us having a great meal with friendly service. We've been to this place twice now in the last five years. This is the small town kind of place where you walk in and everyone at the bar turns around to see who it is coming in. Honestly one of the tastiest burgers I've ever eaten! No condiments needed, it's that fresh and delicious! Don't expect to get in and out quickly because everything is made fresh. Very friendly staff and wonderful service. My wife and I were pleasantly surprised the first time and our visit today was just as good. Omg! This place is soooo good! First of all the bartender/server was so nice and friendly. The ambiance is really cool. But, let's talk about the food. We all got burgers, and they were the best burgers. I've been to Au Cheval in Chicago, which is supposed to be one of the best burgers in the world.... Does not compare to this burger. We stopped in on a recommendation from a friend. He said "it's the best burger you will ever have" and he's right! My boyfriend even requested a fried egg on his, which they gladly fulfilled. The burgers are all grass fed beef. I had the cowboy burger- AMAZING! We also had a cup of their beef barley soup. Outstanding. It tasted homemade and the beef was so tender. Great small town place. Service was good. Food was good - my burger was awesome - and the prices are very reasonable. The homemade soup is definitely worth ordering - although it was somewhat disappointing that they ran out; there were two of us dining but we could only order one bowl because that's all that was left. The sign out front says Dually's and is in the cute small town main street drag, which you can't miss on your way to or from Galena. We stopped in on our way out and we're so glad we did. We sat next to a regular who owns the dinner restaurant across the street. He highly recommended the burger so we gave their daily special a try. It had what must have been a 1/2 lb patty, pepper jack cheese, bacon, barbecue sauce, a couple cheese curds, lettuce, and tomatoes on it. This burger was divine!! Horrid customer service. Facebook menu said they have a BBQ pork sandwich, called up to order and When ordering not only did they say they don't serve them( false advertisin) but when we asked why they don't serve what's on the menu that rudely asked us to move on and that they don't serve it. We moved into town & this place has been recommended by my friends in the area. My son & I had our Easter dinner here as well & Nikki is ALWAYS hands down the best!! She's kind, attentive, welcoming, even as newbies she doesn't make you feel left out she includes you. My hubby doesn't like trying new places & after having a hit & miss at a place falsely reviewed in Scales Mound we came here on our way home. Nikki remembered me & my son & I introduced her to my hubby & she welcomed him & everything. Nothing fake & phony just kind & genuine. Great local watering hole, Potosi brews on tap, better cuisine than your typical hole in the wall, since Anna took over the old Duallies (the sign still hangs over the door, so the regulars won't get confused!) Second and last Sundays, lively old-time acoustic session with Ray and Judy and ensemble! The TV is always on the Cubs and there's a gaming room, if you must. This place is the best. The atmosphere is terrific. Small town and everyone's so polite. The food is really really good. My son is very picky when it comes to food and he just looked at me and said it was the best burger he has ever had. That says something. I can't wait til we can go back and sit down there for dinner. It's very relaxing because everyone is always in such a great mood. The bartenders are very efficient. Sandy is one of them and she always makes you feel right at home. It is a place I definitely recommend not just for the food and drinks but for the upbeat atmosphere. Nice little small town bar. I was in from out of town, the Chicago suburbs, stopped in around 5, my beers were 2.50 each. About 16 high chairs around the bar, 5 booths and it looked like a back room with a pool table and poker machines. Every looked very clean, wood floors, wood bar, wood walls, just had a nice small town pub feel to it. The "regulars" seemed friendly enough, none game me the impression I was at the wrong bar. Waitress was nice, kept cold beers in front of me, gave me some free popcorn right after i sat down. 2 TVs on one wall, had the news on which was fine by me, no one was really watching it anyway. ATM when u walk in, looked like they had a food menu with specials, but I didnt have anything to eat. Just a nice clean local small town bar, totally 5 stars in my book. read more
