    Peruvian Chicken Skewers
    Anna P.

Didn't know what to expect here, everything tasted delicious. The Peruvian Chicken Skewers were super juicy, and the rice was flavorful. The Brussels Sprouts were honestly addictive. Loved the Ahi Street tacos, so fresh and full of flavor. The Manchego & Fig combo was the perfect mix of sweet and savory. The Grilled Rib Tips were tender with a nice smoky flavor, and the Paella was hearty and really hit the spot. The Papaya Quinoa added a lighter, refreshing touch, and the Empanadas were warm, flaky, and so good. For dessert we ended with Churro Vanilla Ice cream which was the perfect sweet finish. Everything was so good, would definitely go back.

Old Town La Quinta just got a major upgrade! The hot NEW tapas spot everyone's been talking about is finally here - Lola's at the Cove, and let me tell you, it lives up to the hype. The girls and I came for a dinner date and were completely blown away. The ambiance? Chef's kiss. Beautiful decor, vibey lighting, and the perfect setting whether you're planning a romantic date night or a full on girls' yap session. Indoor and outdoor seating, you can't go wrong here. Since it was a warmer evening we opted to sit inside but outside had live music so no matter where you sit, you'll catch a vibe. And the hospitality did not go unnoticed. Shoutout to Cameron, our server, who was so lovely and super attentive all night. Really great service here and we were impressed with how quickly each dish came out. Service was definitely 5/5. For those of you who haven't been yet, the menu is tapas style (small bites to share) so you can try a little bit of everything...dangerous for someone like me who wants it ALL lmao. Here's what we ordered: Baja Ceviche - insanely fresh shrimp & mahi mahi with cucumber, jalapeño, onion, cilantro, and avocado. We kept going back for this one all night. 5/5. Lola's Chicken Empanadas - slightly softer texture than expected, but sooo flavorful and perfect for sharing. 4/5. Ahi Tostadas - fresh, bright, and balanced with just the right kick from the chipotle mayo. 5/5. Avocado Fries - the MVP. Crispy, addicting, and paired with sauces that we couldn't stop dipping into. I will order these EVERY time. 5/5. Brazilian Steak Skewers - perfectly marinated with chimichurri and a great savory balance to all the seafood. 4/5. And don't skip the cocktails....we ordered pomegranate mojito and a cucumber cooler. Both were a 5/5. Each drink was refreshing, gorgeous, and dangerously easy to drink. High five to the bartender because these drinks rocked. Safe to say, Lola's exceeded our expectations and already has us planning our next visit. My tips are 1. Definitely make a reservation, they are the hot spot in old town right now (rightfully so). 2. Come with the mindset that it's an experience and is a little pricey ($150 for five tapas and two cocktails). 3. Make sure to share! It's the best way to experience this kind of food. Enjoy!

We celebrated a birthday here this Friday, and the staff was amazing. They definitely went above and beyond, especially our waiter, a young man with gauges, and the front staff member, a younger woman with tattoos. Huge shoutout to both of them. I did not get their names, but they were incredibly accommodating and allowed us to set up birthday props, which we really appreciated. The food was phenomenal. I highly recommend the Spanish paella. Their watermelon cocktail was also delicious and refreshing. The space itself is super cool and has a great vibe. We truly loved our experience and will definitely be bragging about this place. Can't wait to come back!

Wow just wow! We had the Paella and empanadas but forgot to take a photograph of them. They were both delicious and probably the best we've had. The salad and skewers were really good. Skewers were a little over cooked but still very good. The artichoke jalapeño was delicious and the service was outstanding. A little loud as it tends to echo in there. This place truly is worth 5 stars.

Sunday afternoon in La Quinta with great friends, a few drinks and appetizers. The artichoke dip was different, first time I've tasted it with onions in it, it was okay. Personally, I did not like the breading on the avocado sticks. Obviously, everybody loved the drinks and we had a great time! Customer service was good except for me, the designated driver being forgotten and having to ask for water several times!

What an absolutely pleasant surprise and experience... from the very accommodating great hostesses to our fabulous and well informed server Sonya to seeing Zade and Salima the owners...then we get to the FOOD! We all agreed, the 5 of us, that it was delicious and a somewhat different but welcome approach to food in our wonderful desert... highly recommend and will definitely be back... kudos

Love having a tapas place!! Our drinks were tasty. The empanadas and the ciopinno were super tasty! Our waiter was nice and informative. He knew the menu well which is always helpful. Can't wait to come again!

I absolutely love this place, the new design and seating is absolutely stunning. Staff is so super sweet, everyone was so welcoming, smiley, and humble. the food was mind blowing, the brazilian steak skewers and barbecue rib tips, are out of this world. so much flavor, and the food came out in such a perfect timely manner while still tasting delicious and being presentable. Not to mention their drink menu, incredible and delicious. This was my first visit, but most definitely not my last.

Great Vibe! Great Patio! Amazing food and the presentation was artfully done. The flavors were so distinctive. There are so many many positives and zero negatives. Surf and Turf that I had was very shareable especially with a side of those spectacular Brussels! If you are lucky enough to be served by Leila your adventure will be worth writing a review also!

While driving around the area, googled for high rated restaurants to stop for a late lunch and found this Gem. Decided to eat at a high tops in the casual and energetic bar area. Tapas were amazing especially the beef empanadas. Wow! Good wine list and a very friendly staff and our waiter was wonderful. Next time we visit we'll be back.

We didn't have reservations and requested to be seated inside. There was a little awkward first impression with the hostess who told us that there was only one inside table left in the back corner. She didn't come across very friendly when we asked if we could see it before deciding if we wanted to sit there or not. I understand they were busy but she was a bit short with us. We were seated in Isabel's section and she more than made up for it. What a gem! She was so friendly and very nice. She made sure to check on us often and we had a lovely time at your restaurant because of her. We are giving this review 5 stars because of Isabel. The seared ahi tuna salad and the ahi tuna nachos were both delicious. The fish was fresh and so very tender with a light dressing. The pulled pork tacos were good too. The brownie dessert was a bit dry though.

Instead, she bit into a sharp chicken bone hidden in the salad--something that absolutely should never happen. This wasn't a small, soft fragment either; it was sharp enough to cause immediate, severe pain and pierced her gums. This is not just a minor oversight--it's a major failure in basic food safety and kitchen preparation. There is no excuse for serving food in this condition, especially something as simple as a salad. We trusted this restaurant to provide a safe meal, and that trust was completely broken. What makes this even worse is that the situation could have been far more dangerous. If swallowed, this could have led to choking or internal injury. No customer should ever have to worry about that when ordering a salad. I strongly urge the restaurant to take a hard look at their food prep standards and quality control, because this is unacceptable. Until then, I cannot recommend this place to anyone.

Sugar Snap Pea pizza: unexpected flavors with snap peas, mushrooms, & stracciatella. Table was divided on whether this worked. Cacio e Pepe: this version uses bucatini and is a little creamier than the classic. I ate it all regardless. Grilled Avocado: the name ignores that it includes fried artichokes as well. Happy Hour is 3:30-6 and there's a few dollar discount on selected food items and drinks. For appetizers, we ordered the Burrata platter and the dates. We also ordered a date burger and the following martinis: pear, pink lady, and espresso martini. This was my first time trying an espresso martini (ever) and I'm glad I waited until the end of dinner before ordering it. It's more a dessert or finishing drink. The Burrata platter was delicious and beautifully presented. The dates were good but too sweet for our tastes (yes, we are aware dates are naturally sweet, LOL). We only ate a few and saved the rest for later. The date burger and fries were delicious. The only downside was I asked for the burger to be cooked medium and it was well done. Nearly every dish lacked flavor. The Caesar salad was particularly disappointing, with anchovies that tasted low quality and completely overwhelmed the dish. The short rib was mediocre at best, and the salmon was surprisingly bland and forgettable. What made the experience even more confusing were the accompaniments and sides. Several combinations felt strange and didn't complement the proteins, leaving the dishes feeling unbalanced and poorly thought out. Service was another major issue. Throughout the meal, it was difficult to get attention from staff, and the overall level of hospitality felt lacking from start to finish. For a restaurant with such a strong reputation and one of the best settings in the Coachella Valley, I expected much more.
