Will Donato The Art of Sax

While in the desert we love to pop into the Larkspur Grill. It's a great location they have a very very good menu. And they have entertainment. What more could you ask for. The service is exceptional sometimes there's a slight wait because they are very busy. The ambience on the patio is lovely cool Coachella Valley breezes sunsets and a clear view of the stage, if you're there for the entertainment. If you sit on the patio you can also hear the music perfectly. The flat bread was amazing the burgers are good and bacon wrapped dates are delicious. We were there to see Will Donato, because he never let's you down. The whole band is amazing and always a great setlist to dance to. If you want to go out and have a great meal and a great time. Check out the Larkspur Grill. And if you can ever find Will Donato, make sure you make it over to see him.

Me and my sister took a mini vacation and we were told by the hotel that they had a restaurant we were planning on maybe exploring elsewhere but we decided to give it a chance and we loved it ! the staff was amazing the live performances were great and the food was delicious definitely if you stay at this hotel dine and brunch here we did both

Larkspur Grill will definitely be on rotation for me in Palm Desert. Came for Mother's Day brunch and the vibes were immaculate. This restaurant is located inside the Paseo Hotel and don't judge assuming that since it's a hotel restaurant it's average, that thought would be far from it. The service was on point (being a holiday weekend making me even more impressed with how stellar the service was), the food was fabulous, and the drinks were beautiful. Definitely make a reservation - you can't go wrong here though, the outside seating was shaded and cute, inside was stunning with their decor and wall art, and even the bar was welcoming you could definitely sit there if you want something more casual. There isn't a bad seat in the place. Again, service was beyond lovely. Everyone was friendly and attentive. Our waitress made Mother's Day special by being so kind and on top of things. We were also impressed with how quickly the food came out. Very good pace and they don't keep you waiting long. Another plus in my books. Great space from order being taken, cocktails coming out and then the mains. The menu is solid with a great cocktail and wine menu. I was impressed with all of the options. For brunch they had a nice menu half breakfast and half lunch. This restaurant feels slightly more upscale so most of the mains are around $20 give or take for brunch. Cocktails are also up there but well worth the price when it comes to presentation and flavor. My cocktail was the Lavender Dream. The cocktail wasn't purple but instead bright hot pink but beautiful. The flavors were delicious, great if you like a sweet drink which I do. The hibiscus sugar rim was stunning. Beautiful drinks. For our meals I had the wedge salad and because I am weird a side of pork sausage (I had a hankering for both breakfast and lunch bites). My mom had the eggs benefit and added tomato slices which was a smart idea. She loved her eggs Benedict and they were cooked just how she asked. My wedge salad wasn't only visually stunning but delicious. Crispy bacon, cold iceberg lettuce, and saucy, just how I like it. I'm also glad I ordered the side of breakfast sausage as they had a nice mild quick to them and were very tasty. Meal, ambiance, service, and decor was a 5/5. This place is awesome and I hope they are always maintaining this kind of a standard because I'd definitely be back. The price point makes sense for the experience and you get what you pay for. This spot could be great to celebrate any occasion and I'd definitely be back.

Nighly entertainment at the Grill. (Some nights- check) Ton of FUN! GO!

We had a great time here at night sitting at the bar with the live music. This bar/restaurant is connected to the Hotel Paseo. The performance was excellent--and we sang along and others danced in front of the stage. Service at the bar was responsive, friendly, and fast. We did not dine here, so no comment on the food, but would come back here for drinks and music.

It clearly caters to a sophisticated crowd--very similar in vibe to their Calabasas location. While parking is accessible in the rear, it can get congested during peak season. The menu is extensive with plenty of excellent selections, though the pricing is definitely premium. For instance, a Cobb salad topped with fish can easily exceed $45; while the quality is high, that's a significant jump over nearby staples like Daily Grill. Service was friendly but lacked consistency; our server disappeared mid-meal without a hand-off, requiring us to flag down other staff. Overall, it's a bright, airy, and stylish spot well worth a visit, provided you're prepared for the 'luxury' price point.

Our original seafood plan fell through (fully booked, of course, because that's how these things go), so we pivoted last minute. Expectations were...moderate. What we got? A full-on flavor win. First things first: the coconut shrimp. Order it. Don't discuss it. Just do it. Crispy, sweet, a little tropical magic--gone way too fast. Then came the blackened mahi mahi tacos...wow. The kind of "close your eyes mid-bite" good. And the crab cakes? I actually felt a little emotional taking that last bite. No shame. The real plot twist, though? The kids. Our notoriously picky eaters didn't just tolerate the food--they enjoyed it. Like, voluntarily ate it. Parents, you know how rare that is. The vibe struck that sweet spot too--dimly lit and relaxed, with a breezy island feel that somehow still worked for a family night out. I was half expecting to feel out of place with kids in tow, but it couldn't have been more welcoming. The staff was warm, attentive, and made the whole experience easy. So yeah, what started as a backup plan turned into one of those unexpectedly great nights. Safe to say we'll be back--this time on purpose.

Today's lunch with family and friends was especially frustrating, and everyone left unhappy. The kids' sliders were burnt on both ends, and the chicken was overcooked and even contained a long hair. We were served appetizers without any plates and had to get up and ask for them ourselves. We also ordered three appetizers, but only two arrived. When we asked about the missing appetizer, we were told it would come out later because the other family in our party had ordered it. That explanation made no sense. Appetizers should be served together regardless of which members of the party ordered them. To make matters worse, when we requested separate checks, we were told the restaurant could not accommodate that request. We have dined here many times in the past and have never had an issue receiving separate checks, so this was surprising and frustrating. The waiter just gave us the option to split the check evenly on two cards which is not helpful since one family spent far less than the other. Apparently the food could be separated by family, but the bill could not. Service throughout the meal was poor. We were never offered additional cocktails or soft drink refills until we had already finished eating. Dirty plates sat on the table for an extended period of time, attracting multiple flies and creating an unpleasant dining experience. It's disappointing because this restaurant was once one of our favorites, but after two consecutive poor experiences, we're finding it difficult to justify returning.
