Outdoor seating area at Melange, very relaxing.

What a great day, lunch, birthday celebration kind of thing. We just dropped in after a Taylor Swift movie and had a fantastic time. Our server Brittney was simply so professional and accommodating. We had her prior helping us and she is always super cool. You Go Brittney! YELP SHORT ANSWER: yes, Yes, YES visit this out of the way special place located on Lake La Quinta just off of Washington. This is also a hotel which looks really nice. LOCATION: a little hard to find which makes it all that much more special. Quiet and on the water. Tons of indoor and outdoor seating but no too much parking. FACILITY: Not really sure what it is but it's nice. A bit eclectic with a European theme I think, it really does not matter as it is nice yet aging a little. MENU: A lot of great choices you will find something no matter you food status or appetite. FOOD PREP: Pretty standard and fine, nothing fancy which works. At dinner they kick it up a notch. It just all works. FOOD QUALITY: Always very good. I have not had and fancy menu items here so cannot comment but I would not hesitate to order anything here. WAITSTAFF: Did I mention Brittney? The servers were very nice and really seemed to leave people alone to relax and take in the views and enjoy a little chill time. Everyone on this last visit were so happy and fun, that is what we all need and grumpy customers go fix yourself. OVERALL VALUE: For sure not inexpensive but well worth the price, in fact this place has become one of out go-to options outside of Old Town LQ. TIP: Parking and giant SUV can be challenge so get there early or late and it should not be a problem.

We love this place! Great happy hour from 3-5pm, don't mind if I do! Food is great! Service is great! The ambiance is fantastic, especially for November. In Washington we're already huddled indoors waiting for May/June to arrive.

Such a lovely quaint place. I loved our stay and great service. I had the bacon and cheese omelette and sat by the fireplace, it was the best omelette I've had in a long time. I highly recommend!!!

Cozy ambiance with a European vibe. Love that it's right in the lake. It really is a hidden gem! I didn't even know this was in this spot! The food was good (fish tacos were amazing), drinks were refreshing, service was great. I'd love to come try brunch sometime.

This restaurant exudes romance it is a fantastic restaurant to go to as a couple as a group , for a birthday or just a wonderful place to grab a glass of wine and watch the sunset over the lakes... The food is very fresh. The service here is so welcoming. It's located inside the château boutique hotel on the lakes. So charming...

I can't believe we didn't know about this hidden little spot in all of the years we have lived in the desert! I wish I could add a half star, cuz this place deserves 4.5 stars (I usually only reserve 5 stars for "slap-me-in-the-face good places, ha!) I took my parents today for brunch to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary (!!) and we were just delighted. The service is just amazing...starting with Britney at the host/welcome desk. Our waiter, Mario, was pleasant and cheerful, and didn't slack on topping up our bottomless mimosas glasses. Robert, another waiter who chatted with us, was so sweet too. And then even the chef (Chef Omar??) came out to wish my parents a congratulations. Service was just amazing! The food was quite good too. My dad got the lox and bagel plate, which is always his choice if it's on a menu. He gave it a 10 out of 10. My mom had the shrimp and asparagus omelet which she really liked too. I opted for the mushroom avocado toast which was huge and filling and lovely and more like an open-faced sandwich! Great food at very reasonable prices. My dad and I got the bottomless mimosas (cuz...why not?) and the chef was so thoughtful to send an order of the blueberry and pistachio blintz over at the end of our meal to celebrate my parents even more. All in all, a great "new" find. We are looking forward to going again, perhaps on a summer evening when we can be outside, with the lake views. (A bit too hot for us, to be outside today).

The Shrimp Caserecce Alla Vodka was definitely the best dish we had--really flavorful and the highlight of the meal. The Hot Honey Pepperoni Pizza was also very good. For dessert, we tried the New York cheesecake, gelato, and an affogato. All three were good and a nice way to finish the meal. The service was great and everyone was friendly. The restaurant was a little warm inside, but it was extremely hot outside, so that may have been part of it. Overall, Kiki's was good. We enjoyed the meal and the service, and there were definitely a couple of standout dishes, especially the Shrimp Caserecce Alla Vodka.

Kiki's Sala: salanova lettuce is unusual but tasty -- like arugula without the bitterness. This is a large portion which you could share with four people as an appetizer. Sugar Snap Pea pizza: unexpected flavors with snap peas, mushrooms, & stracciatella. Table was divided on whether this worked. Cacio e Pepe: this version uses bucatini and is a little creamier than the classic. I ate it all regardless. Grilled Avocado: the name ignores that it includes fried artichokes as well. Satisfying and not too garlicky. Another large portion. The only disappointing item was the Polenta -- a little bland. If you get the Chicken Parm, you only need a half portion. Jack says the best two dishes are the Caesar and Linguini & Clams. They fly in Juniors cheesecake from NY! Full bar, attractive ambiance, and well trained staff. Go to Kiki's.

The server was fast and friendly. We ordered the stuffed dates and the burrata. The olive tapenade with the burrata was so tasty. We practically licked the bowl clean. We quickly ran out of the little toasts but ate the olives with the arugula from the medjool dates. For mains we order a half order of the short ribs and the prawn pasta. The prawns were pretty large. The pasta was a little too al dente for me and the sauce had a very strong wine taste that got old pretty quickly. The short rib was so tender and flavorful, but the Brussels were also just a tad too rare. Overall it was a nice meal but kinda pricey for two people for the dishes to not be perfect.

I erroneously assumed spaghetti flavored with garlic, white wine, butter, herbs, & preserved lemon would be delicious. Large, tough (& again, tasteless) prawns topped the bowl of noodles that seem to stick together from a lack of sauce. Our gracious waitress removed the dish from our bill after seeing it had barely been touched. Her efforts did not go unnoticed; we generously tipped her for taking the initiative to rectify an unsatisfactory situation. We sat on the covered patio facing the giant rock formation; a unique dining experience, but one that felt Disney-ish rather than elegant. La Quinta Cliffhouse gets a hard pass from me.

DRINKS AND APPETIZER ONLY!…read more We were visiting family down the street, so we popped in for a drink. The look and the feel of the Grapefruit Basil restaurant did not feel like other Tommy Bhammas. It did not have that vibe. Plus, the drink menu is not the same as Tommy Bahammas as well- while reviewing the menu I noticed a couple of similar drinks such as the grapefruit basil, so I decided to order a familiar drink. Unfortunately, this drink was not as good as the one that I had the night before-- I could not taste the alcohol, it just tasked like grapefruit- I was sad, as this is like my go to drink. To compliment out drinks, we had the salsa guac appetizer that we are very familiar with from the Tommy Bhamma restaurant. The appetizer was good, and like I remember from their restaurants. So how was the atmosphere-- we just popped down at the bar. The bar felt like we were at a hospital. Very white and blah. If it was a cooler night, the outdoor space might have been nicer. They do have a bar and seating outside. As it was still in the 100s, we did not have that option. The bar was a bit distasteful with off conversations- we don't mind a party vibe, but the vibe was not that kind of environment. Lastly, this restaurant/bar does not use the tommy Bahamas membership program so you cannot accumulate points or use your credits. Would we come again- well, Tommy Bahammas it's not too far away, I think we would head there instead or another bar.
