I've been wanting to stop by Keystone Farmers Market for a while because farmers markets are kind…read moreof my thing. I love checking out local markets, roadside stands, and small businesses whenever I can, so I finally made my way over. First thing I see when I pull up: $12.99 for a seeded watermelon. Listen... we're in Florida. I see people selling watermelons off the side of the road for $5-$6 all the time. The seedless ones were $8.99, which somehow made the seeded watermelon price even more surprising. Unless that $12.99 watermelon comes with a guarantee that it's going to be the sweetest, juiciest watermelon of my entire life, I just can't do it. Once I walked around, I was also surprised by the produce selection. I expected a much larger variety, especially for a farmers market. I actually stopped because I needed cabbage and don't remember seeing any. They DO have some really cool local products--grass-fed meats, seafood, juices, goat milk, soaps and other specialty items--and I definitely appreciate the emphasis on local products and supporting local businesses. It's a cute little market and clearly they have plenty of loyal customers because they seem to do very well. For me, though, the prices were just too high across the board. Even seeing bars of soap around $12.99 had me thinking about the goat milk soap I can pick up at the Safety Harbor Sunday Market instead. So this isn't really a "bad review." It's more of a not-for-me review. I've visited quite a few farmers markets and genuinely enjoy shopping local, but part of the appeal for me is finding good local products at reasonable prices. Keystone just didn't hit that mark for me. If shopping local is your priority and you don't mind paying a premium for it, absolutely stop in and check it out. It's cute, they have some unique products, and you may love it. Personally, I'll stick with Aldi, Publix, my other local markets, and that person on the side of the road selling me a $5 watermelon.

From all of the people in the front letting you taste the fresh fruit before you pick, to the gentleman who taught us what to pick and how, to each of the several people wishing us a safe drive home before the rain came through. There were plenty of oranges ripe for the picking and the groves are healthy and active! The honeybells are seriously the juiciest citrus I've ever had. The farm market has everything Florida you could ever need and we also brought home some orange tea cookies, monkey butter, chocolate gators, and some juicy fresh pomelos. PLEASE pay Dooley Groves a visit and bring your out of state friends- they will thank you! (Ps- they also ship their citrus!)

Breanna was exceptional in helping up figure out how the actual U Pick works and our cashier specifically went above and beyond; even going so far as to recommend additional local spots in the spirit of supporting others local small businesses. I'm so sorry to forget her name as she truly made our experience. The actual oranges are firm and juicy and the overall ambiance was the perfect edition to any trip showcasing 'FL highlights.' Thanks again ladies your hard work does not go unnoticed!!

Yes, it's outdoor. So plan your trip with the weather in mind. The first time I was there it was pouring raining & even though it's covered, I got soaked in the Florida "Sun Showers" we often have here hahaha. The coolers they have under this covered little market are full of everything from Gator meat to locally sourced fish, like Grouper & Snapper but they also have wild caught salmon & sushi grade ahi tuna etc., They also carry Wagyu burgers & steaks etc., I had the Wagyu burgers they are very good. They also have tons of other beef, pork & chicken. Even chicken feet. I also like their local country sausage OuiOui. The Amish eggs they sell are from an Amish farm, the best ever & the raw cow yogurt is magnificent. The really great thing they do here is the Sourdough bread they are making, it's the best I have found in the area. All of their baked goods are fabulous but the Organic unsliced sourdough boule is AMAZEBALLS OuiOui :).. The other Amish/European Market down the street also has fabulous sourdough bread but it's pre-sliced. This one here is so much more sour & I love the size & shape of it. Very artistically crafted. The best sourdough I have found by a long shot OuiOui. Added to moi lists of Best Organic, raw, vegan/Best Bakeries. Will Return. Highest Recommendations.

What makes this place even more special is their commitment to organic, regeneratively sourced foods from local farms that follow organic and regenerative farming practices. It's reassuring to know the produce is grown without harmful chemicals while supporting healthier soil and sustainable agriculture. This family-owned and operated farm store is a true gem. If you're looking for fresh, high-quality food and want to support a local business that genuinely cares about what they offer, I highly recommend stopping by!
