Heard nothing but good reviews and decided to finally try this restaurant. It's a small blue house with two small but very clean dining areas. Upon sitting down at the table, we were served salsa and chips, which were really good. I did ask for green salsa, which was also good. The food was really delicious. My only complaint would have been that one of our lunch plates was given to the table next to us in error and instead of replacing the plate immediately we had to wait until that table's order was filled, and they took their plate and gave it to our table. As far as drinks, the Micheladas were good, but the frozen mango margarita had an artificial powdery taste. But overall, our waitress was amazing and super friendly . Horrible service, over crowded because the place is so small and everything feels sticky and dirty. Food is ok but nothing that can't be made at any other location like NB TORTILLERIA. We used to call in our order and then pick it up on the way back from church but after today, we are absolutely done with this place.. we had to wait close to an hour to get food that we had called in, no apology. I had requested a refund and to cancel the order so we could just get food elsewhere for our hungry kids and both times she told me no that the food was being packed when in fact, it wasn't even done being made.. Since it was a larger order, I expected to wait a bit -- but after one full hour, we still hadn't received our food. This was my second visit to Butcher Boy Tacos, and while the food itself isn't bad, the overall experience leaves a lot to be desired. I waited over 30 minutes for tacos to go, which felt excessive. On my first visit, I was overcharged by $2,000 in a tip and yes, you read that right. They corrected it eventually, but that kind of mistake sticks with you. While visiting New Braunfels for our annual Wurstfest trip, I woke up craving breakfast tacos. Since we stayed in a different spot than usual, I decided to try something new and am so glad I stumbled across Butcher Boy Taco House. I scoped out the menu and called in my order for my wife and I (bacon bean and cheese, chorizo and egg, potato egg and cheese, and bean and cheese). I over-ordered. These tacos were big and packed, so you easily get your money's worth. Once I arrived, I loved it. It reminded me of the best little taco joints I grew up with in San Antonio. And you could tell that everyone in line or seated were regulars. The line moved fast and the staff was kind. The tacos...HELL YES! The tortillas were fresh and cooked to perfection. They were thick enough to hold the packed fillings but still had the right texture. More places need to make their tortillas like this. Each taco had amazing flavor and I will go back every time I'm in town moving forward. read more

My husband placed an order to go at 5PM. We haven't even tried the food but we will never go back. Customer service was HORRIBLE. The girl at the register was insanely rude! They gave no greeting, pointed to a menu when one was asked for, rudely stated that asada and bistek were the same. First time trying this place and I don't really care how good this food taste (if it's even good) but will 100% never go back. No wonder people don't recommend this spot in New Braunfels. read more

The chips and salsa are fresh as expected. Wipe your plate up with the homemade torts. A good option for picky kids with chicken tenders and fresh cut French fries. This small business has thought of it all, even down to the water they serve. They serve local filtered alkaline water which is a major plus for me. We happened to meet the owner at a local bakery and he was down to earth and mentioned his "taco place" at the end of our conversation. I picked up tacos from BB the last morning of our trip to NB and they did not disappoint. Staff is kind and helpful. Atmosphere is relaxed and energetic at the same time. There are many options and the homemade corn tortillas were perfect for our GF kiddos. They have flour tortillas, too.
