A classic boba spot here in Denver! I really like the atmosphere and look of the place. Last couple times I went they had Stranger Things decoration which was really cool, and most recently I noticed they had some (what I'm assuming is) local art up! Love how they switch it up every now and then + looks great. They have fun things to do while you wait for your order or hang out with friends. Board games, foosball, and manga are at your finger tips if you're interested. Lots of different seating for everyone with you which is nice. Thankfully not too loud though, at least not any time I've went. The staff is pretty nice and drinks are always pretty good + well made! The only complaints I have are parking and variety which hold me from giving a 5 star rating. Parking, I know, is out of their control but it's just frustrating and inconvenient at times. So choose what time/day you go carefully! I've been a long time fan but I wish they'd change it up and have more options as what they have is pretty basic. Yes, slowly but surely they're adding new things to the menu, but not nearly enough to compare with all the new boba places popping up over town. I used to come here ALL of the time. For three years, this has been my boyfriend and I's date spot. Things have gone a bit downhill over the years, but my main complaint... STOP QUESTIONING MY DRINK CHOICES, CASHIERS. Every time I've heard "oh, you might not like that, not very many people like it" it's been my favorite combo! Pistachio Thai, Taro Thai, lavender jasmine, to name a few! I dislike all of the syrupy artificial flavors such as cherry and coconut, and that's always what they suggest as an alternative. Someone even said my taro Thai would be "too sweet" I ordered it any way (hesitantly but thank god I did) and it's great and tastes like a Lucky Charms marshmallow. Nowhere near as sweet as the time I went with their suggestion of cherry Thai. Next time just let your customers choose their flavors. read more

What can I say? I'm addicted. I've been a regular here for a few years now and I just can't escape. No matter what kind of drink you are in the mood for you can find something on the menu, hot or cold. I would suggest a Royal Milk Tea for a first timer, it's the classic! Totally Asian - vending machine selling small Asian toys like Hello Kitty. Flip thru Chinese magazines or books while you wait for your boba tea. They have an awesome selection of boba flavors. Some truly asian flavors like the "salty plum" and coconut flavor. Great place to hang out with friends. Boba can be found in a whole slew of Coloradan asian restaurants now, but Lollicup definitely gets the OG boba crown. Like much of Denver's burgeoning hipster scene, they were doing it way "before it was cool," and continue to draw a steady stream of the faithful even now that it is cool. They have a typically deep menu with small seasonal rotations to please even the pickiest beveragistas. The atmosphere is playful and casual, with foosball, manga, and even some board games lined up to help you kill an hour with friends while you enjoy your tea. All that being said, if you're a boba connoisseur of the west coast variety, the secret ingredient you're going to pick up on in your average cup is "slight disappointment." It's not bad in any sense of the word. I mean, I'm giving it four stars. But just because it's one of the oldest and best in Denver doesn't mean it gets a free pass to play with the big boys. If you're local (like me yaaaaay) and looking to get your boba on, you'll be hardpressed to do better. If you're on the lam from the LAPD, maybe wait until the arrest order lapses. read more

I ordered a coconut milk tea (blended) and my boyfriend opted for a lemon slush. We each added boba and it was PERFECT on a hot day. I was a little confused by the milk tea vs blended tea vs slushes but the girl at the counter was happy to explain the differences as I am not a regular boba tea drinker. The place is cute and situated in a shopping area. There's a fooseball table and an assortment of Japanese comic books. I saw someone with their laptop so I'm assuming there is free wifi. I go to Lollicup several times a week, more than I should, but the drinks are delicious! A nice place to hang out with friends, and free wireless internet to boot! They have manga in Korean and Japanese, Chinese and English magazines, a foosball table plus a couple of other games, and a bulletin board. They have milk teas, flavored iced teas, snow bubbles, and slushes. I usually get the cappuccino snow bubble while I'm there (snow bubble = creamy drink, slush = more like an icee). You can choose to have boba in your drink (I don't normally)--the boba are little chewy balls of tapioca that add texture to the drink. They have thicker straws for the purpose of drinking them, but if it turns out that you don't like them that much, they have normal straws. Alternatively, they can put different flavored jelly at the bottom. They have TVs, too, and sometimes they'll play movies on the DVD player. The only thing that bothers me isn't really with Lollicup Denver itself but with some of the people that visit. I often wonder if the groups that play the games there really have to be so incredibly loud to start giving me a headache when they score at foosball or win at the card games. Also, there's a rather large pothole next to a parking spot right in front of Lollicup, so watch out for that. Sometimes the music is really loud, too, but you can ask the people behind the counter to turn it down. read more

Lollicup is just great. The atmosphere is lively and colorful. The music (although not always my taste) is usually upbeat and cheerful. I love the wide selection of flavors and the ability to blend flavors. The service is always quick. They are not shy about suggesting flavor combos or letting you know if a flavor combo won't work out (apparently lavender-yogurt isn't likely to be delicious). Their prices are decent and I can never hate on a place with chess, checkers, comics, and foosball. If you want a sweet, refreshing drink, Lollicup is the place to be. read more

I've been searching for a good boba spot, which seems to be a rarity in Denver. After scouring Yelp listings, I decided to give this place a shot. Not too shabby! Pretty solid boba place with milk tea that has a good tea flavor instead of being just sugar water. I got a regular jasmine milk tea with boba--good tea flavor and boba had the right amount of chew. In addition to just drinks, this looks like a nice spot to play some board games with friends, or sit and read a bit while you sip on your drink. I noticed that they had a couple sets of manga available for patrons to read, so it looks like a popular place for students to hang out. If you have never tried milk teas and bobas I would say this is the place in East Denver to try them. You can get these drinks at any pho restaurant as well, however, Lollicup is specifically dedicated to the craft. I only get the thai tea which just does it for me and I don't see the need to experiment, but others have told me that the avocado is great. Its kind of got that anime pop thing going which is really a hit with the younger crowds and this would be the place to whip out your Yu-gi-oh playing cards and not get made fun of. Parking and accessibility is bit of a pain, but with the summer months coming, I could see a milk tea craving coming quite often. I wish there was a place like this in my neighborhood as a teenager. Alas, I'll settle for it as an adult. The boba is better than any I've ever had, and the service fast. They have a lot to chose from however, so I'm guessing it may be a bit overwhelming for first time boba drinkers. This is an adorable shop. I had never had boba before coming here, and I've never been tempted to try anywhere else either. This place has about a million flavors (matcha snow being my absolute fave!) and everyone here is always so nice. It never seems to take very long to get my drink even when there is a huge line of people. They have games out on tables, like checkers and connect four. There are comic books and a TV. They encourage you to hang out, but the place is a bit small to really hang here when they are busy. Everyone is crazy nice here. Make sure you get a punch card, so you can work up to a free drink. I've tasted several boba flavors from here and they've all been delicious and my wait is never more than 5 minutes even when they're pretty busy. They even have entertainment while you wait for your boba or while you sip on your boba. They have magazines, connect four game, and chess. Another bonus is that they are open pretty late on weekends so you can get that boba sugar rush =). Only thing I don't like is that you can't pay with a card if it's less than $5 if I remember correctly. read more

Definitely one of the better boba places that I have found in Colorado. I am originally from Las Vegas and went to school in San Diego and so there were boba places everywhere. I'm just excited I can have some delicious boba again after moving away from those places. So, I go to this location on a regular basis. I had a different experience today than I've had in the past.. It was NOT positive sadly to say. After receiving my drink I pushed my straw in the plastic cup and the straw punctured the top and half of my drink landed on the floor!! When I told the gentleman behind the counter, and shared my mess with him, as well as requested a mop or something to clean up the floor along with another drink. He discarded my request for something to help clean up the mess as well as proceeded to hand me back my cup within another cup and a new straw!!! What the heck .. whatever happened to common customer service .. Do you think I wanted to bust the top ?? Go back to the basic of giving your paying customer what they paid for. I'm sorry I made the mess and offered to clean it up.. Remember your good faithful paying customer keep your small business running. I frequent this Lollicup location pretty often. Maybe two or three times a month? It's my favorite boba place in Colorado. Also, compared to all of the other Lollicups in Colorado I think this one is by far the best one. Why? The people behind the bar are friendly and welcoming. They also work extremely fast and always have plenty of help. I notice that other places have only one or two people making drinks and that makes it extremely slow. The venue also has great parking and it's in a popular part of town. When you go inside it is super cute and there are a ton of tables to sit at to do work, catch up with friends or chill by yourself. The reason why I only give this place three stars is because Colorado just doesn't have the best boba. The best boba here only reaches 3 stars. My staple boba item is a royal milk tea with light ice so you can't go wrong... But it's still not AMAZING. read more

I was about to give lollicup two stars for my macha green tea bobba, but I tried my sister's mango bobba, so that helped give this place one more star. I know some may be wondering, why only 3 stars? Everyone else is giving the place 4-5 stars... Well let me start off with the atmosphere. It's a very lovely atmosphere. The place looks clean, the staff are friendly, and the ambiance is lovely. But that wasn't enough for me to give this place 4-5 stars. So I ordered the macha green tea, because they didn't have regular green tea..idk why. I got the juice right away so I was happy that it came so fast..but as soon as I put that straw in the juice and drank it, my mouth turned south. I couldn't taste the green tea flavor at all, and the flavor was just thin. This is also kind of weird, but my macha green tea's after taste tasted like something my dentist use to put on my teeth and I hated the taste of that, so swallowing the juice was a bit hard for me. I didn't want to waste my money so I decided to just take it slow and painfully drink the juice. Another problem with this bobba juice was that the bobba were too soft. I like bobba that is firm, so it basically has to be soft on the outside and a little bit hard on the inside, just something for me to bite on..but the bobba wasn't even that good... My friends always tell me how great lollicup is, and i guess I see that a little bit. They did a good job on my sister's mango, I don't even like mango, but it tasted good. Just to let you know, as I am typing this, I am still painfully drinking my green tea bobba...it's hard to just swallow honestly, and it's making my head hurt :/ Usually I drink the bobba very very fast...but this time I don't even want it :/ Anyways, I will not be coming back here..I don't know what all the hype is about..but maybe they shine with other flavors...just not the flavor I got today.... read more
