I'm very particular about my brows and she accommodated all of my needs. She made sure that what she was doing was what I want her to do. She also offered to put makeup on my brows using Benefit products but I declined because it was pretty late at night and I was just going home anyway. But, if you book your appointment in the middle of the day and have somewhere to go afterwards, then take her up on her offer. You're eyebrows will be on fleek! :) However, the pricing is pretty hefty for waxing. It's probably the most expensive brow place in Norman. Also, one thing that somewhat throws me off is that they wax you in the middle of the store while seated. It's kind of awkward when the store is busy and there's a lot of people browsing the Benefit counters. Some (mostly little kids shopping with their moms) will even stare and watch as you are getting waxed. Additionally, Ulta gets pretty hectic some days especially if they have an event so I recommend going on a weekday and booking an appointment in the morning if you want to try this place out. I like this place, but you can get your money's worth somewhere else. My current aesthetician charges a third of what the Benefit Brow Bar charges. Plus, you get to lay down and relax; the atmosphere is zen and calm (which you cannot find inside Ulta).

My tech (Kinsley) was super sweet and social. I ended up getting another service since they were doing a promo for half-off an additional service. When I paid, the girl at the register was kind, told me about deals and promos but also didn't push me into anything. I was in and out in about 20 minutes and everything went great!

They do not take walk-ins, and their late policy is strict to the point of being unreasonable. I arrived at the 9-minute mark and was turned away, despite being told that 9 minutes is the cutoff. Instead of attempting to work with me or see if there was any flexibility, I was offered an appointment three hours later -- which obviously doesn't work for most people with busy schedules. There seems to be little effort to accommodate clients who are trying to make appointments work within real-life constraints. A bit of grace or customer-centered problem-solving would go a long way. What's frustrating is that the Moore location does not operate this way and has never made things this difficult. The difference in service between locations is noticeable. Unfortunately, based on multiple experiences, I won't be returning to the Norman location.

Two different stylists worked while I watched (just along for the ride, I guess). Long hair blowout looked good. Nicely done and flattering. Shorter, layered hair was quite the challenge. I watched as the stylist tried and tried, kept adding more gels and products and then tried again. Hair got stiffer and stiffer . . . and when she was done, it didn't look a whole lot different from when we walked in, other than it was plastered in place. This is not just a blow dry bar, this is a full-service salon. The majority of the customers getting blowouts here did have longer hair, or hair that was cut to one length. The layers must have really thrown the stylist off . . . which is weird. The following day, I was told it took two separate deep shampoos to get all of the junk out of her hair. Wow, if that had been me, I would have rated this place with several less stars. Only reason they get 3 stars is because the one stylist did do a nice job on the long hair, and I will give Flaunt credit for that.

I went in with somewhat dark brown hair that was a mix of professional and box dye that had been growing out for around 6 months. I had been dark for 3 years and my natural hair is very blonde and I wanted to go back to my natural roots. I was thankful that she was willing to take on the challenge however I would have looked elsewhere if I had known what her "final product" was going to be. She said that we would have to do this process in two sessions so my hair wouldn't get severely damaged, which seemed correct to me. After my first session I was there for 4 hours and there were some harsh lines where the lightener had been, I texted her to schedule my second session (giving her the benefit of the doubt) however after a second 4 hour session the lines were more harsh than the first time, there was several shades of blonde in my hair, the underside of my head was just bleached hair, no toner, it looked silver/white. The next day I got in contact with my friends hair stylist and she said that I was the second worst case of hair botching she's ever seen in her 20+ years of being a hairstylist. She got me in very quickly, and when I showed up she was shocked, to add she mentioned that I had hot roots all over my head. I'm not one to leave reviews but I don't want this to happen to anyone else.
