This boutique is my new favorite store! I walked in looking for an outfit for an event and felt like I had a personal stylist by my side the whole time.... Ask for Jen. The staff has an incredible eye for what fits and flatters, suggesting pieces I wouldn't have picked for myself but ended up loving. Horrible experience on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 1:30 PM. I wanted to try on the dress that was on the mannequin in the window, a long maxi stretch dress, in a lavender color. The salesperson advised where it was on the rack; since there were only sizes large and medium on the rack, I asked if I could try on the size SMALL on the mannequin. The salesperson asked me if I could "try on a medium size, to see if I like it". I advised, I already "like it", I wanted to try it on to see how it fit; which is the entire point of trying on your size, not another size. Clearly, this was a problem for the salesperson, who obviously does not work on commission. The answer should have been, "Yes", when there was not a size small on the rack; which would have led to a sale of over $100.00 for the owner. I left and as I did, I said to my friend, who was also shopping, loud enough for the salesperson to hear, "the answer should have been "yes", as we walked out the door. The salesperson wanted to chat with another woman and her dog, who was not making a purchase, more than help someone who was a ready, willing and able buyer. With employees like that, and the rent for that location, I'd expect a more helpful experience to close customers. When I looked at Lolo's reviews on Yelp, it appears this is a pattern in this store. Emailed the owner these same comments, on the two emails addresses found on the website and business profile - NO REPLY. Never again. read more

The women working here are SOoo rude and lazy. You almost want to say "Sorry to interrupt you while you're on your phone do you have this in a medium? " the service was horrible. Honestly the clothes liked outdated and cheap it looks better from the outside but once you go in you see the price is too high and doesn't match the product. With some many boutiques with equally or even prettier clothes than there just nearby and in the same row, I would not bother too much to get anything from here. I go there regularly for years already, their summer collection sale (which is going on right now) is great, in fact, when I went yesterday, the store was packed with so many shoppers, feels like Christmas shopping. It seems there must be so many other ladies like this place just like me. The clothes are stylish, comfy, and not expensive. Nothing irks me more when I shop in a store with lousy customer service. I came in here yesterday afternoon looking for something new to wear to some parties I'm going to this weekend. I found some super cute tops and wanted to try on two pieces, but the one girl that worked there didn't acknowledge me or the other girl shopping. This boutique is very open with its layout, the racks are all lined along the three walls in the store with the center area lined with tables that come up to your waist to check out the merchandise, so it makes it really hard to avoid any interaction with the customers. I loved the stuff they sold in here and I really wanted to try on the two pieces I would have bought, but after walking around to see if the girl would at least say "Hi, can I get you started with a fitting room" but it never happened, I decided to put the tops back on the rack and leave. Customer service goes a long way in the retail world. If you would simply acknowledge your customers with a simple "Hi, welcome to __________." instead of pretending we're not there when I'm just a few feet away from you, then maybe I wouldn't be irked with yesterday's experience. read more

Out of bags, out of personality and fresh out of customer service! The door was open, girl working the register (texting), woman arranging clothes and bringing up new merchandise. The place is obviously open.. Right?!.. Right! I'm going to give the texting blonde the benefit of the doubt and assume she could not hear my 3 children singing their Valentines day song and their version of Little Orphan Annie's tomorrow song, so I said "hello". Then and only then did the "I hate my life teenager" peer at me through her bangs. Then looked back down to continue texting! The words "Why you little (bleep)" actually came to mind... I almost walked out of there. Probably should have but the tops were so cute! So. I did what any responsible mother would do.. I told my kids to keep practicing their songs at full volume (strive for perfection ;)). After-all no one was really there, just the moving mannequin's of Lo Lo and me, the shopper who wasn't really there either. About 15 minutes later as I continued to shop, my arm was feeling a little heavy because I had a total of 11 pieces of clothing hanging on my arm - dresses, tops, shorts, skirts. Not once did either of the ladies ask me if I needed help, a dressing room or perhaps another hand. Umm. Ok.. Rude! Over all - The clothes are beautifully displayed, nice open space, decent selection, colorful and very inviting. well. The store itself is inviting. ONE STAR TOO MANY!!! I'm not surprised to see such poor reviews here after walking in Lo Lo Callisto yesterday and experiencing for myself!! Went in with my friend, we were looking at clothes and accessories and shopping as usual, (what women do!) I picked up a necklace I was planning to purchase, walked to the other side of the table where my friend was and I set the necklace down in front of me on the table as we proceeded to try on other pieces. All of a sudden a lady who I think worked there, said rudely from across the table, "What happened to the necklace that was here?? I didn't see where it went." As I was clearly in shock, I replied 'its right here on the table.' She responded, "Are you going to buy it?" I have never been so rudely accused of theft while innocently shopping and with the sole purpose of buying silly, overpriced, costume jewelry!! What a joke!! If you don't want customers to touch or try items on, please have them locked in a case or clearly have signs stating so. Don't disrespect good people and you probably shouldn't have a store open to the public if you can't deal with normal customers touching your merchandise. I called to get the lady's name and Kimberly who answered today said she didn't know who was there yesterday?! I don't know how true Kimberly was but Lo Lo Callisto is nothing but a joke! So disappointing!! Entered the store to find the store sales clerk not wearing a mask and her co-worker walking into the store talking and not wearing a mask as well. Neither attempted to follow Covid recommendations and put masks on while seeing a customer in the store. Nor did anyone bother to greet me. I left immediately. If I could give ZERO stars I would. This older lady was SOOO rude and condescending I wish I would have walked out. My 14 yr old was shopping and went to check out....she had cash, the lady thought was ridiculous?!?! She then insulted my daughter (who didn't pick up on it - which made it worse) AND shorted her $10 in change. I had to step in and get her money back. I'd give 0 stars if I could. I just walked out of this shop after the older female clerk insulted me. I mentioned that I'm shopping for someone conservative... she ridiculed me for saying the pants I was holding were too see-through and wouldn't work for a mom or 3 little ones. she said "it has nothing to do with being a mom, you need to get her a snowsuit". I then admired a pair of leggings, surprised and pleased at how soft they are. She commented "those will show every dimple". I said "she's thin, she's a runner, that's not an issue". She continued with "some women walk in here and I think 'REALLY?!?! You shouldn't be wearing those!'l That was the last straw. As I walked out I'm 90% sure I hears her mutter "rich bitch". Wow. I will NEVER step foot in there again. Nice comfy clothes but staff are snobbish and seems racist. . My first visit there was when i had to get a blouse for a party. The lady working there was oh so smile and helpful to these caucasian people, but when she saw me and another asian lady come in to their store she didnt even say hi and her smile went away. She didnt greet us like what she did to others. Oh well the 2nd time I had to give them a chance because i was so in a hurry to get some outfits for my hawaii trip. Sure enough i still got the same treatment. Little advice ladies who work there, LOLO is a "store" and so therefore you have to provide good and fair service to all kinds of cutomers regardless what their race is. You are in del mar not beverly hills so stop acting like you guys are so elite. Will I ever go back to your store? NOPE! I bought a sweater here a month and half ago, wore it once, and it started fraying. (And it wasn't cheap) I tried to exchange it and the woman was very rude to me. Without any eye contact, or hint or politeness, pointed to their 15 day policy- very small sign, and said there wasnt anything she could do. I was waiting for my sisters to get out of a move at Del Mar Cinnepolis so I was wandering the shops below. Lolo caught my eye with its spacious boutique and colorful clothes. I loved the styles in there and the affordable prices. The feel of the fabric for the clothes were soft and were quality. The tall, blonde woman (possibly the owner because she certainly knew her merchandise) was lovely. I asked her opinion on a skirt and she was great. I ended up purchasing a cute little color block bag (have received tons of compliments already when I wore to dinner) and a striped skirt which I cannot wait to wear this spring/summer. I went into this store in Seaport Village and the moment you step into the store, you feel the immediate presence of being unwelcome. The girl who was working the first time I walked in there didn't even smile or say hello as I walked in. As I was looking around the store she just sort of stood there and stared at me occasionally, which made me feel super uncomfortable. When I asked for her opinion on a piece of clothing I was trying on she gave me a fake response of "oh yeah it looks good" with a fake smirky smile. The second time I walked in there I was hoping there wasn't the same girl working and (thank god it was a new person), but the lady that was working was just as bad as the first girl. She was VERY unwelcoming and stared at you while you picked up things and tried it on (which made me not want to buy anything) and she didn't even ask you if you needed assistance with anything. The customer service in this store is THE WORST thing I have ever experienced, and I will never step foot in that store again. The employees need to learn some SERIOUS training on customer service before they start to lose their clientele because that was downright repulsive. Do not ever go into this store because it's way overpriced, and you can find cuter, cheaper clothing and better customer service at Forever21. read more
