Best prices around, which is why my husband and I bother to drive 30 minutes each way to see a movie. We came today for the Mean Girls movie and each ticket was only $5.50 for an evening showing. The Loma only has three theaters and doesn't have all the glitz and glamour of a Celebration! Cinema, but it is where I prefer to go personally. I can easily only spend $20 for tickets and treats to enjoy a movie so I will most definitely continue to be a patron of the Loma simply based on prices. read more

What a truly great, 'cozy' local gem, not only are the tickets (amazingly!!) well-priced, the interior and staff are awesome! Was pleasantly surprised to find reclining, (!) comfy leather seats waiting for my husband and I, and the theatre itself is clearly well-maintained and clean. 5+ stars to the staff for being so incredibly accommodating to my husband's and my needs as well- we are both completely deaf and seldom go out to see a movie because most places were just $$ and/or didn't have closed captioning devices, which we need! But we were so overjoyed to learned that, not only is this theatre wonderfully wallet-friendly, it DOES (!!!!) provide cc-devices!! Thank you Loma, you are truly awesome! read more

Outside I thought it was going to crap. Inside the lobby I thought it was going to be crap. But inside the actual theater was surprisingly nice! It was long and narrow but they had reclining leather seats with arms that moved up and down with cup holders! Bonus! read more

These reviews crack me up. First of all, the place is super cheap for new releases. 6.50 for tickets, popcorn and pop. For the same stuff at a chain theater I would pay 20.00 or more. Unless you have a problem with the small, quaint, adorablness that is the Loma, this place is top notch. This is a local hero to many here, and we are proud of it and it's prices. I have never experienced negativeness, they could be more friendlier but hey, they could spit in my face and call me stupid and I would still go to this theater. $6.50... Despite the fact that I haven't paid 5 anything for a movie since the early 80's, this place was a shit hole to say the least. I am all about nostalgia but gee whiz its 2010 people! Small theatre, small screen, chairs that were sad, sad. Get some HD and stadium seats and charge 8 dollars. And the townies, OMG really disappointed with the townies that talked throughout the movie. I understand that there is probably no where else to go in Coloma the night before Thanksgiving but really is this how you guys have fun. Sad. Don't waste your time, drive to one of the big cinemas in Kalamazoo and pay the money. On a positive note.....the $2.00 bucket(yes the big bucket) of popcorn was great. read more

This is a small town theatre with small town pricing and great popcorn. Buy a bucket for $2.00 and keep it. Bring it back for .50 cent refills the next time you visit. They have fountain drinks and slushies. Star Wars played opening weekend here just like in the city. The screen is smaller. The seats don't rock and the carpet has been there a while. However, the price allows you to take your whole family (grandma and grandpa too!) to a movie while enjoying popcorn and a drink for $6.50. I have never had a bad time at Loma Coloma! read more

You can't beat Loma for first run movies and a great price. We went to a Sunday matinee and two of us saw "Captain Phillips" with popcorn for $11.00! The service could be a bit friendlier and it's definitely a "no frills" kind of place but you get what you pay for. read more

Best movie theater in the WORLD!!!! I bring every one of my friends here when they come to visit. They pay twice the price to see movies in Chicago, not including popcorn or a drink. They can't believe how cheap it is. You can't see new releases for these prices anywhere in America, and here they throw in popcorn and a drink dirt cheap. You get a popcorn for $2.50 if it's your first time here, or if you bring back your bucket like me you get it for $.50 and a drink for like a dollar. It's over $20 for all that at any other theater. Here it's about $6.50 for everything. It's a really cute small town theater, it's not the nicest, but for the price it's unbeatable. read more

Are there "better" theaters? Yep, probably. But you PAY for them. I have a family of SIX. We can hit the Loma, all get in, get a BUCKET of popcorn each, and a drink each... and only pay $32.00! And candy for $1.50 more?? Yeah, you can keep your fancier theaters where I would need to pay $11.00 each just to get in, and then another $15.00 for popcorn and drink... I'll see my movies at The Loma and keep my $100... Oh, and I go there once or twice per month, and have NEVER had rude service. Some people complaining probably need to look at themselves first! read more

The loma is tiny. It only has three screens, but where can you beat $5.00 movies with free popcorn and pop. Despite being small and unassuming, the Loma does get the really big blockbusters in a timely manner. If its really huge, it'll be there on opening night. A night at the Loma can be way easier then going to Celebration Cinema. Sure the sound and picture quality isn't the greatest, but did I mention that its only $5.00 with free popcorn and pop! One thing though, I really hate the upstairs theater. Most of the seats really suck and don't have a good angle toward the screen. But whatever, Its a $5.00 movie with free popcorn and drink. read more

Awesome little theater. Super cheap prices on first run movies. We spent under $30 for a family of 5 to see the 8:30pm showing of Finding Dory the week it came out. We just ate across the street (see my other review on Friendly Tavern) so we didn't get food but the prices were fantastic and the popcorn smelled great. Theaters themselves were small with a column of 9-10 seats and about 20 or so rows. A few of the chairs are a little broken down and the bottoms lean forward too much but that's about the only downside I could find. Four stars for a quaint small town movie experience with great prices. A little uncomfortable to sit that long on a sloped seat but a good movie and rest of the experience made it a super night out on a rainy day during our vacation. read more

The theater is older but nice. The prices are great. However, the management has a lot to be desired. They are friendly as can be until you complain about the teenagers acting up in the top row. From what I see a bunch of teenagers run the place and they cater to their friends. I complained three times. Each time the staff would go speak to them and leave. As soon as the staff left, the teenagers would start acting up again. I ended up leaving because it wasn't worth the hassle. I'd rather pay double and actually get to hear the movie. read more

You can't beat the prices at the Loma Theater. They usually play all the good releases. The place is on the smaller side and not up to date but for the price......totally worth it!!!!
