Came here for a movie day $3 ticket, but it seems they have many discounts even if not for movie day. The showings are limited but it is very affordable. The movie theatre is small but there's weren't too many patrons there. We were maybe 2 of 10 people there. We didn't get any food but it looked super cheap - $2.50 nachos! read more

Cute little theater with $4 matinee tickets and $4 buckets of popcorn is the place to spend a rainy afternoon. Three movies included the new minions movie and Elvis. Lacey and Ralph were awesome! They were incredibly friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The popcorn was AMAZING! Perfectly seasoned and fresh. The theater was clean and the leatherette rocking chairs were very comfy. The prices are enticing -usually we don't purchase concessions at theaters bc they're so expensive. The price point here is perfect -we bought lots and we will certainly return for more great entertainment, food, and customer service! read more

Besides the fact that I saw "Ted" (which deserves 0 stars) this theatre has to be the hidden gem of South Haven. $4 admission, .50 drinks and .50 popcorn -- with free refills. I felt like I'd gone back in time to 1992. This was my first time in South Haven and if I lived closer I'd make the trip tot his theatre pretty often just to save a buck. Also, despite the price, this theatre is in pretty good condition, including the retro, low budget ads playing before the movie. Comfy seats, plenty of legroom and cheap concessions. What a cutie little small town movie theatre.I visited here on vaca,my bf and I quickly realized that there is close to nothing to do in South Haven after dark so we hopped over to the theatre. They were showing 3 new movies a couple times a night,nice! Its a nice old looking theatre,real small but thats ok it has character for sure.You dont find anything this unique around the burbs. The price was the best part.I didnt actually see the tickets price but out tickets,popcorn,candy and two free drinks came to $14!!! Thats fuggin' amazing! You cant even by the tickets in Chicago for under $20 and then you drop another $20 at the concessions.I would go to the movies nightly if I lived in South Haven. They are partially eco friendly-- the popcorn comes in a plastic reusable popcorn container.If you bring it back at your next visit the pocorn is free! If not you have to shell out 2 whole dollars. The downfall to there eco friendlyness is the fact that they provide styrofoam cups! Eeekk The theatres are small but clean and quaint. read more

This is another SH icon. We will usually go here once during our week long stay. The building is older but has character. The movie selection is very limited and may be a little dated - however we don't see movies that often. The kids will love the pop corn deals. And the place won't break the bank like most movie houses. Definitely a good idea for a rainy day of if you just want something different to do while on vacation. read more

Nothing beats the Michigan Theatre. Sure it's not the newest or the fanciest. But the movies are new. The prices so cheap. The popcorn, best in the state. Icees, cotton candy, pop, popcorn, candy....anything we junk food lovers might want at the movies. Films are first run. Tickets max out at $5.50 for evening shows. A mere four bucks in the afternoon and fun deals and specials regularly. Maybe the tickets are cheap because snacks are expensive? Nope. $2 for a medium popcorn. $1.50 for a giant pop. The seats aren't the newest and don't recline- but they're big and soft and in great condition. The theaters are smaller than you're used to in larger markets, but they're also quieter and friendlier. Located right downtown, it's perfect anytime of day or night. With great little shops and restaurants, bars and even the beach all right nearby. Such a little gem! read more

Your money goes a looooooong way in this little gem! For a family of 5 to see a movie here with tickets, popcorn, drinks, and candy, we literally spent less money than for 2 of us to have the experience in most theaters. The theater is quaint, almost has an old-fashioned vibe, which we really liked. If you're visiting South Haven for vacation and staying downtown, it is a quick walk to see a movie here. We had a lot of fun here on a rainy day in South Haven. Beware the HUGE lines if it is raining and you are here on a holiday... get there early. Also, parking can be tough so be warned! It's a more comfortable, old-school type of theatre that was cozy and very kid friendly. Bring your own popcorn bucket for 50 cent all you can eat access which the daughter loved. Great amenities! However me and my family received quite horrible customer service. We pre purchased the tickets online to ensure seats. The first half of my family went in the movie theatre and seated for the movie, while the other half of us parked the car and came back. When we got in the gentleman at the front desk said my family had only bought 6 tickets (we bought 8). We showed him the ticket receipt and he still argued with us. The gentleman asked for my spouse to go in the theatre and collect everyone's tickets to prove we had 8 tickets and there was only 6 of us there. At the end a group of the family went to go get the. Car while the other half stayed inside and waited since my mother is handicapped. The employees in the lobby requested my handicapped mother to go outside because they wanted to lock up and leave. Other than this slight incident it is a great hometown movie theatre. read more

Great theater but manager Keith needs to be replaced immediately. Purchased 3 tickets not realizing the show was in theater 3, up 3 flights of stairs. Theater has no elevator & so my 94 yr old Mom w/a walker could not get there. Shouldn't there be some notice or signage at the time of purchase indicating the theater is not handicapped accessible? Once realized 5 minutes later, presented my receipt & asked for a refund for 2 of the unused tickets. Manager Keith said no, he needs to go! read more

There is not much to do for tourists in South Haven when it's rainy on a summer day... this is one of the things to do. If you are going... go EARLY! Saw Monsters University (So good!) here recently. Luckily we had lunch at Su Casa just next door and finished up about 50 minutes before the showtime started and I noticed a line at the movie theater. The show was SOLD OUT nearly 30 minutes before the show. It's not a huge theater, so be sure to go early if you like your choice of a decent seat. What I loved most about this place was the price! $14 got us 3 tickets to the movie, a large pop and popcorn refill in a bucket. Perfect! read more

This is an older theater in the center of downtown South Haven that reminds of the great, bare bones movie theaters of my youth. Same prices from my youth, too- $4 to $6, $2 buckets of popcorn, $0.50 sodas. They only have 3 screens, but get new releases immediately. We were there Thanksgiving weekend, and they had The Muppets, Twilight, and Puss in Boots. The rooms are medium sized, so there's really not a bad seat anywhere in the house. read more

If you go to South Haven, you HAVE to see a movie at this place. For $12, we got two tickets, popcorn, nachos and 2 drinks. $12. Seriously. And, it was a current movie (Eclipse) in stadium style seating. Apparently, this place hasn't raised it's ticket prices in decades. I'll say it again: $12!!! read more

Stopped by here during memorial day vacation to watch Solo (in theater 3). The picture was great. The sound was a bit too loud and on multiple occasions it sounded like the actors voices were coming from above instead of in front, which distracts me from the movie. I assume it's the way the theater sound is designed/tuned, not the way the movie was composed. read more
