It was my second time seeing the movie and I will see it again. It's one of the most powerful films that I've ever seen The only downside tonight was that I booked my tickets ahead of time through Fandango. When I presented my tickets to the cashier he said that they don't accept tickets booked through Fandango. I had to spend another $30 on tickets for 3 people and Sperrys does not offer seniors a discount on the purchase of tickets. Very disappointing. I might visit Sperrys again but I'll never buy another ticket through Fandango. I'm going to get my money back because I paid for the tickets by using PayPal which is tied to my American Express card. Amex will cancel the transaction tomorrow when I call them read more

We had the best experience today taking our toddlers to the movies for the first time! They have a theater specifically for families with small children that has a three story playscape, a play area in the front by the screen for smaller babies, a family bathroom right outside the theater and the ability to order food to your seats. This was so perfect for our family and worth the drive from Kalamazoo! I can't wait to come back for Moana and Paw Patrol later this summer. read more

Sperry's is great. We came with the kid's to a matinee show to catch the new Moana 2 flick. They had a cool breakfast buffet going on with characters and music to dance to and of course lays. We didn't spring for the $50/ticket price tag, but did snag the last 3 seats for the 11am show. Seats are assigned at Sperry's so I highly recommend reserving seats ahead of time online so everyone can sit together and also to avoid a sold out show. We were a little late getting in and found our seats as the movie had just started. I thought I could order the kids lunch, but found out the kitchen doesn't open until 12 pm for feasting. I ordered popcorn to curb the kids appetite and they gave it to me for FREE and apologized for the inconvenience. Awesome customer service! Now they have a customer for life. At 12 o'clock I was having trouble getting the mobile ordering to work from the seat QR code, so I ran out to concessions and placed my order with our theatre number and seat number so they can deliver it right to us. The kids snacked on a burger and fries while I had the most delicious prosciutto and fig pizza. The crust was perfectly crisp with just the right amount of chew and the balance of flavors was on point. The staff also gave my kids some of the extra flowery lays left over from brunch. Such a great time. Highly recommend Sperry's Moviehouse if you want a bougie movie night or matinee. read more

The Sperry is a spiffy, high end movie theater in downtown Holland right on 8th. You can grab a bite and WALK to a movie now. Yay! Parking sucks. You're downtown. Get over it! The pricepoint is perfect and competitive with other theaters that don't come in THIS high end with the decor, seating, and snacks. Why go to Rivertown when you can have it all right here? Seriously, the massage chairs are a G-D-game-changer. HUGE (you just fall into them), reclining, and enough space to forget your neighbor and enjoy the film. The only thing we'd change is for them to integrate with Fandango to make check out and rewards easier. We had some issues with their internal billing system overcharging us, but the manager fixed it immediately. read more

I tried to call the general managers office twice and left voicemails in which I never received a return call. I then sent an email to the general manager and no reply back. I was very upset when taking my two granddaughters to see Moana 2 and unbeknownst to me ended up in the playhouse section. It was by far the worse experience at a movie theatre ever. Just saw another movie here tonight. Passing along some updates: (1) My 8:00 screening of "1917" did not begin at showtime. Rather, the trailers began at showtime and the feature began several minutes after, just like at every other theatre. Not sure what happened to Sperry's "film at advertised time" policy. Sensing some inconsistency here. (2) Pro tip: I learned tonight that the second floor concession stand as well as the bar kiosk *both* can sell movie tickets. So, if you don't feel like waiting in line downstairs and the upstairs facilities are open, slide up the escalator and snag your tix there. This is very handy when facing a sold out screening--which happens quite a bit here. :-) read more

The Speery's Moviehouse exceeded our expectations. It was very comfortable even more than some of the other upscale theaters. The food was really good and the serving's were very generous. The atmosphere is nice with features we hadn't seen before. Can't wait for our next date night there! Will be going back as soon as possible! read more

Sperry's is AWESOME and I highly recommend it. There are the things you'd expect from a movie theatre: awesome sound / acoustics, good picture quality, clean environment. Then there are things that make Sperry's extra special: sitting in a massage / heated chair, the food and drinks they deliver to your chair, the modern look and feel, and the location of the place makes dinner and a movie in Holland even more special. But the thing I will rave about the most is the staff. They are all incredibly friendly and do whatever they can do make your time from the moment you step in, until the moment you leave, one memorable experience. We LOVE Sperry's. It has truly single-handedly given downtown Holland a major upgrade. read more

We just went to see Frozen 2, and the experience was incredible. 1. We bought tickets a couple weeks in advance, but accidentally bought them for LAST week instead of today. The employee offered to refund those tickets for us since it was just a mistake... we didn't even consider asking for a refund. We were just hoping there were still seats available. 2. The restaurant had great food, and the waitress was also wildly helpful. My 7 yr old asked if she could have the mac and cheese as a side dish, which was not on the menu, and the answer was "of course, we can make that work." 3. The seating in the theater is roomy, with recliner seats, a tray for food, and a heating element. After this, I don't think I'd want to see a movie anywhere else. Definitely 5 stars! read more

Omg such a great theater! Gorgeous design. The movie theater here in Holland, MI has awesome seats that recline with foot rests $4 beers and a full bar, food delivered to your seat . I got the tater tots topped with jalapeño cheese (11+2 added grilled cheese) yum . the chairs also have heat and vibrate massage!?! Great choice for my evening. FYI the time it says the movie starts is ACTUALLY when the movie starts. Not 10 minutes of ads first. Must go again soon. TOTES WORTH IT read more

The theatre is nice, seating is nice. It's a small theatre with only a few rows of seats in the theatre we sat in. We ordered food and it was delivered in a cardboard box. The selection wasn't to good- mostly sandwiches and wraps. That was disappointing for what we paid and it really wasn't good. We ordered a drink at the bar and this martini was a joke for what we paid- maybe a half of a martini glass and I think it was around $10; maybe had a half shot of booze. It was so ridiculous we laughed. Beer was fine because you get the can and you know what your getting. Food and mixed drinks get a zero, theatre gets 3-4 stars. I've been to theatres in Texas that serve food and drinks. It comes on a plate and there is a great selection. This was nothing like that. read more

I ordered spinach and artichoke dip and it came with next to no bread to dip it in. I finished the bread and I had 3/4 of the dip left. I went out to ask if I could get more bread and they said they would bring some to my seat. I was then visited at my seat and they told me it would be an extra charge for more bread... but there was hardly any in there to begin with! I didn't want more- I wanted what I paid for. I just told them I was all set because I didn't want to disturb my neighbors in the theater... bummer that they didn't see it my way. Food was just ok. My seat was a bit frustrating to recline. I probably won't be back and I would recommend skipping. read more

I made the mistake of getting movie tickets for the children's theater to watch Frozen 2. I was really looking forward to seeing a movie in this theater because of all of the great things I have heard about it. The seats were terribly uncomfortable in this particular theater. Not only are the seats uncomfortable but the aisles to get in and out of the seats are too cramped. I can understand why some people with young kids would like it however, it just wasn't a good spot for me and the two 11 year old girls that I had with me. I was disappointed. I wish there was a disclaimer about the children's theater. I would have opted to see the movie at another theater in town. read more

i'd recommend this movie theater for anyone who wants to be comfortable or wants to go on a date also to those who want to be comfortable during the movie the dinner and food served is okay not bad not amazing or outstanding but appealing the seating is beyond comfortable and allows for full enjoyment at a maximum level of relaxation as you watch your film the dinning room area is adequate the window seats over looking 8th street is a nice view the two concessions stands upstairs and downstairs is a nice feature of convenience as well as the escalators going up and down overall it is a pretty great experience nice addition to the downtown area read more

Just visited this place, it's really nice! Closest thing you can get to an Alamo Drafthouse Theater in Michigan. The seats are amazing, think about a leather Lazy Boy recliner with heated seat and 4 different massage programs! The screens are smaller but the sound system is amazing, I felt like I was standing inside the film with the surround sound! The food is kinda pricey, but thats expected. I had the Philly Cheese Steak tortilla wrap with fries, it was so good! You order the food, show them your ticket stub and the deliver it to your seats! Beer and cocktails available also. It has a fantastic restaurant - you can dine without a movie ticket and/or take the food with you into the theater. I ordered the philly cheese steak wrap I was blown away by the flavor and presentation of the meal. Looks great on the outside but looks may be deceiving. Staff knows nothing about their own establishment, seat was broken and is not comfortable at all. Seats should decline but they just put you in an awkward dip. Food was extremely over priced and tasted worse than McDonald's. Movie was blank screen for 20 min past start time. I recommend staying very very far away and stick with Star 8 or AMC Holland 7! read more
