One of the worst air conditioning companies I have ever experienced. They may give you a cheap quote but you get what you pay for. Their communication is slow or non existent, took them over a month to finally install my AC once it was agreed upon. Once they finally came out to install it was poorly done. Their truck smashed into my garage on the day of installation and they did a poor job trying to fix the crack they created. They sent someone to install the system with very little experience (first day on the job) who wired it completely wrong and damaged my brand new AC system. The system malfunctioned, causing the heatstrip to be on every time my AC was on so not only could my house not cool very well, my electric bill was almost $600. Juan and company refused to stand behind THEIR mistakes and said "they have no way of knowing if it was the AC that caused the bill to be so high" when I have never in my life had an electric bill over $200. After they came out to fix it the bill went back down to $100, so it was obviously their fault. The electric usage jumped to 200+kwh/day on installation and went back down to 30kwh/day after they fixed it over a month later. This company is a complete joke, with horrible work that they do not stand behind. In the end, if you're paying thousands for a brand new system pay extra for a more reputable company that knows what they are doing and will give you the support your need. You will deeply regret going with this company that cuts corners and does everything as cheap as possible to save a few dollars. Who knows what other damage they did to my system. Don't let this happen to you. read more

I almost want to keep this company a secret, but I have to say how great they are. Our AC drip line tends to clog up, and usually my husband is able to clear it so that the AC will run again. But this particular day, it was just beyond what his tricks and tactics could do. It was already around 5pm, but I tried calling Lombard anyway, and Juan answered. I told him the situation and he said he could be over in an hour. I was so surprised and happy! Sure enough, he is at the front door within the hour and gets to work right away. He explains to us that the unit (the coils and piping) need a thorough cleaning and that he can clean it enough that night to get it running reliably but he'd have to come back to finish the job. Juan further explained these cleanings should happen at a minimum of once a year. This is one of those things no one tells you about Florida because up north, I never had to worry about clogging ACs. His service fee was $60, but it went right towards the final bill of his work. His pricing is very fair and he really seems to know his stuff and is fair. We will keep his information and call him the next time we need him, as well as tell our neighbors about his great work. read more

I am a retired SFFD captain. I have owned a laundry mat for 15 years. I have realestate investments and day trade stocks. I bought a home in Lakeland for the winter and the AC & air handler had never been replaced for 17 years since the home was built. I got 5 quotes ranging from $9500.00 to $475000.00 for brand new equipment. Lombard (Juan) came in at the lowest of $4750.00 for a Carrier with Nest thermostat. I asked for a lower price from Juan and he found cheaper equipment to lower the price. Lombard did not have any reviews so I was a bit hesitant, but had no bad reviews either. He is licensed and has tremendously low overhead because it is just him and his son. The other quotes were higher because of company overhead. So I decided to go with Lombard. Juan called to tell me he was on his way and arrived and went straight to work they did a GREAT job! Very professional complete tear out and install done in 5 1/2 hours. Other companies warned me not to go with Lombard because he may not do a good job or they may not vacuum the lines correctly or there must be something wrong because we cannot do it this cheap. If you don't use Lombard because you think it is too cheap you are making a mistake. I love finding good deals and service like this! Let's help companies like this one grow. read more

We were so fortunate to find Lombard Air Conditioning! I was visiting my in-laws in St. Pete Beach and they are in their 90's. Over 20 years ago they did a renovation on their condo that required the AC unit to be moved to a new location in the ceiling over their entry way. It was starting to fail and everyone who came to look at it said the space was too small for new units due to environmental regs, etc. My mother in law contacted the original installer and went around and round with them for over two years! They kept saying they'd find this or that and nothing would happen. I took charge and was determined to find another contractor. Enter Lombard! When Juan actually answered the phone in person I knew things were looking up! He arrived at the condo within and hour and a half and while he acknowledged that it was a difficult application he was absolutely confident that they could do it and said he would find the part and start the next day! He gave me a very fair price and sent a detailed quote electronically and we were on our way. He ordered a new part and because the space was so tight, they dismantled the old unit and removed it. They then dismantled the new unit and reassembled it in the confined space. This was not easy! No one else even thought to do this but my suspicion is that the contractors we were speaking with didn't really want to because it's too difficult and they look for the "easy money" jobs. Juan and his son run a fantastic business and they are incredibly hard workers and very knowledgeable and meticulous. They made sure everything was clean after they finished their work (this took two days). They always communicated and if they were running late, I was immediately texted with a revised ETA. Lombard will be doing all of the preventative maintenance going forward. I know that in FL you have a TON of choices in AC repair but save yourself time and piece of mind and just call Lombard! read more

Juan was quick to respond to my call. MyAC went out and had him come out very quickly to quote me. He gave a very fair quote and I had lot of issues with my shipper from a 3rd party. He was very patient and told me once it was here. He would send his guys over. Everyone else was 2 weeks out for a install. The guys came out right after lunch and they stayed till the jib was finished. They were here u til 9 at night and even Juan came by to help out and make sure things were right. I have tossed out all my other AC guys numbers and will only use Juan now. I think his guys were great and very professional. I had to have my central AC replaced. So far it's been a good experience. I can't say I know if it's a great value because I didn't get any other quotes BUT when my AC went out they went out of their way to have me comfortable until it was time to install the new one. They were timely. I had no idea what they were talking about but they seemed honest and explained as many times as I asked them to with patience. You're not going to find a better air conditioning company/HVAC in Tampa. I needed an air handler installed and duct work replaced in my condo and Juan and his Dad/Son helped me out by providing the requisite insurance and license information my HOA board required and began installation almost immediately after HOA approval. I needed same-day service of a broken thermostat in Clearwater, FL. Juan Luis immediately responded to my Yelp message and showed up a few hours later, driving 45 mins in traffic each way. No other company was willing to come out on a Friday night, and most wouldn't even give a ballpark estimate for a pretty standard job. Jusn Luis was reliable and professional. He had a new thermostat in hand and didn't try to extend his time doing the repair. His price was extremely reasonable too. I spoke to Juan Luis, owner of this business to request an HVAC replacement in my house, he asked me to send photos of the unit and also the stickers of the unit after I did that, he said he would give me a free quote or quote . He did neither. Also, I asked if I buy the unit independently can it be installed? he got very upset and tried to give me the most expensive one which was not what i ordered anyway i told him please send the info and i will see what i do. He told me that after 2 hours he will call me he NEVER DID. I guess all the good reviews on here are from your family and friends, not from customers. I am 82 years old and have a heart condition. When my A/C went out on Saturday afternoon 8/5/23, I went into a panic. If I overheat I will get very sick. I tried calling The Comfort Authority and the young woman was so nice to me and said that a technician would call me right away. No one called. Ever. So I called LombardAir Condition Repair. The man said that he was working on another home but would call me in two hours. In an hour he called and got my address and came right over at 9:00 PM. He diagnosed the problem right away and fixed it in 45 minutes. He only charged me $150.00, which I think is very reasonable. I can't thank the gentleman that came to my home within 12 hours of my frantic phone call concerning the water that was pouring out of the air conditioner unit. I have no knowledge about central air being from New York I really only understand a furnace. Lol. He took the time to explain everything to me as he was working on the unit and even took the time to explain what I need to do to maintain the water drainage pipe so that it will not hopefully happen again. Jose Luis was great I had scheduled annual maintenance. He discovered a part of my air handler was not installed properly and it allowed debris to get into my air handler and also some growth has started. He cleaned it all suggested a UV light to prevent growth, and help air quality. He was here for hours fixing it all. He was very friendly great with a new puppy. He will be getting my business! Our duct work had been damaged. Lombard was the only one that had to the proper flex tubing and did the work after beating a competitor's estimate and was done in just hours. They even did extra work on rebuilding my return ducts and tuning up the unit itself. Highly recommend this company! read more
