I was chatting with the owner David for about a month trying to plan things out over chat because he gave me his cell number because he apparently doesn't have an office phone. I went with FireSide Hearth and Home and couldn't be happier with not using Blue Sky. In response to the owner Dave's response. First. The customer is always right. It's pathetic you're bad mouthing a customer online. Shows just who you are. 2nd Why on earth would I stalk you I found you're replacement in two minutes on google. Dave lied and said I was harassing him. I put a photo screenshot on this review of my chat with David and his response in case he deletes his to my review. I texted within business hours and everything. You can see that I didn't text him months ago and he texted back within a few weeks not months ago like he says then just went dark. Also you'll see that he just lied in this review to all you customers. You can see he didn't block me and in fact read the texts as iMessages says on the screenshot. He ignored all my questions and then lied about it. I wonder why considering I just gave Fireside $8000. Dave I call you a LIAR and a con man. Several chimney companies came by with various approaches and pricing. I found Metro Chimney and Joe through a neighbor who had just had his chimney rebuilt through Metro and was very happy. Joe came by, gave me his bid and put me on his schedule. I was able to walk around our South Minneapolis neighborhood and see previous chimney work Metro has done. Although it was several months before they could do the work (very busy chimney repair season) I'm glad that I went with him. They rebuilt the top 5 to feet of the chimney and the Santa Fe tone brick looks great with the remaining stucco chimney and house. The crew knew what they were up to and very professional and thoughtful. The work took 4 days including the install of scaffolding. It's not cheap but much lower than the company that told me the whole chimney need replacing. Joe said they were wrong and just the top 5 feet need rebuilding. Joe is an honest hard working guy who has long term experienced employees. I had a good experience with this company.

There was so much damage that the unit was unsalvageable. An estimator came out that same day to talk to me about replacing the unit. It was over 15 years old so I was kind of expecting it. My furnace definitely needed tending to, and I realize replacing them both at the same time is typically recommended. The estimator did not pressure me whatsoever and I ended up getting a quote for a furnace and AC unit replacement. The quote was thorough and after researching everything, I determined it was a fair deal. I went ahead with the purchase and they were out a few days later to get the job done. I cannot begin to tell you how incredibly professional and personable everyone was. They did a stellar job replacing everything and I had no idea how big of a difference this upgrade would make. Additionally, the small details didn't go unnoticed. The new vent going outside, the thermostat and even the Rumpca sticker on the ducts were level and neat. I love supporting small businesses and this one has been around for as long as I can remember. I highly recommend Rumpca Services!

My 97 year old Mother had these rip off artists come out to her home twice within a week or so. The…read morefirst time was to figure out why her toilet kept running. The guy that was out there took his sweet ol' time and finally just put a new flapper in the tank and charged her $340!! The second time was to put new shutoff valves on the upstairs and downstairs toilets. They told her that seeing she was in Ramsey county they couldn't shut her water off without permission from St. Paul. Which is total BS, especially when she has a shutoff on her main water line coming into the house. They said seeing as their business wasn't located in that area they couldn't do the work. But later on in the day, the owner called and said they could work around that by "freezing her pipes" and the charge would be $1000!!!! She talked to me, her son, and I told her this is total crap. She ended up calling someone else who shut her main water valve off in the basement and replaced both valves for $250! She had used Rumpca for about 30 years and we have figured out that they have been ripping her off for all those years. My advice is to stay away from these scumbags and call a reputable plumber.

AJ was my point person from the moment I called to the final invoice. He was polite, professional and did what he said he was going to do when he said he was going to do it. He came out the same day I called for an estimate and the estimate he gave me was lower than the number I had in my head (it's a miracle!). We scheduled the work and the team showed up promptly. In all it took four days to complete the job (day 1, tear down old chimney, day 2, construct new chimney, day 3, concrete on the top, day 4, put the cap and the animal barrier in. Each day AJ would text me when the crew was on their way. They communicated each day about what was happening and when they would be at my home. They tolerated my dogs barking at them. And I really want to mention that they did an exceptional job cleaning up after themselves, even hosing down my entire driveway before they left on the final day. Crew was courteous and respectful of us and our property. And the finished product looks great and is a dramatic improvement over what we had. We have had several home issues over the past couple of years (hail damage, flood in the basement), and so we've seen a good number of contractors come and go. Hardy Masonry was better than almost all of them. Could not recommend enough.
