6/4/26 Paid another visit during Scottsdale shopping day. Today I brought in some of my un-used diamond rings and heavy Gold bracelet to liquidate memories of the past. Although not quite at its peak, Gold is valued at ~$4k/oz. My diamonds are being removed for future use and the gold from these rings was purchased by LG. Total Gold weight priced nicely. My husband and I chose London Gold for our wedding bands. I had driven past it a few times and it looked really nice. I also did a few online searches for local jewelers and London Gold kept coming up on Google. We walked into this location and were greeted by Ronnie, who helped us pick out the perfect bands for each other. Mine was pretty simple as I wanted to match my engagement ring. However, it still had to be custom made and they had to keep my engagement ring for about a week to ensure everything was exact. My husband was a bit more selective and Ronnie was helpful in having him try on multiple options. I figured we'd end up with something custom, but my fiancé found something he liked. I also liked that it had a "hint" of rose gold in his band, since both my ring and band were made of rose gold. It felt like it was truly a set. We put the order in with Ronnie, who even gave us about $200 off my husband's band. I chose to pick up the bands the week of our wedding since I didn't want to risk them getting lost or misplaced in all of the wedding craziness. I DO NOT recommend that and if I had to do it over again, I would have pick them up ASAP. The reason is because I had my husband's band engraved. When I went to pick it up, I looked at the engraving and it was cut off. There were a few letters missing on the end (but certainly enough room where the letters would have fit). I was upset and started to have one of those bridal panic moments (ever bride-to-be has them!). Ronnie wasn't there so the other consultant told me that they could ship the ring back and give us a loaner ring for our wedding. That upset me because we are Catholic and these rings are blessed on the day of our wedding. I didn't want a loaner ring. They also gave us the option to use the ring as is and after the wedding, they could send it back and fix the engraving, which I also didn't really want. However, one of the Managers (presumably) could tell that I was getting upset so he walked over and said they would overnight it to the vendor and have it fixed, then get it back in time for the wedding. I left still feeling pretty frazzled, but confident we'd get it back in time. All told, I did get the ring in time and the engraving looked great. I do wish that if they have customers requesting engraving that they'd check to make sure the engraving was done and completed properly. It would have made for a less stressful situation (but again, I will take partial ownership of that since I should have just picked them up when they were ready initially). All told, we are pleased with our rings and would do business with Ronnie and team again. read more

Truly outstanding experience!!! This was my first visit to London Gold Scottsdale which I chose to repair the extremely sentimental tennis bracelet inherited from my mom that had already broken twice after being repaired (by a different jeweler) due to worn links. Orly helped me pick out a gorgeous setting that allowed for the same diamonds to be used (with more added) that was much more secure. I received a text 2 wks prior to promised date that my bracelet was ready to be picked up and it is stunning!!! Additionally, the estimated balance due which I was prepared to pay was reduced to a much lesser amount. I took in a platinum and diamond wedding ring and had the center stone removed so that I could reset it. I recently took that same band to another jeweler to have a new gemstone put in it. He told me that whoever had extracted the original stone had cracked the diamonds around the halo and broken the prongs to such an extent that I'm going to have to have them rebuilt and the diamonds replaced. We walked in to look at wedding bands and were attended to immediately by a very service-minded and pleasant lady by the name of Carrie-Ann. They had a very large selection of rings with very unique designs. It was extremely difficult to narrow it down to two choices, but we eventually did. I really liked Carrie-Anne's no-pressure and non-opinionated ways. She didn't offer her own opinions unless asked for, she simply served us. We ended up leaving there still undecided, but I left my silver bracelet there for cleaning as I got a free jewelry cleaning by checking in on Yelp. Later called to ask if one of the rings could be customized, but had to wait for a call-back, which came promptly. Almost certain I will buy one of the two choices. Walked in on a whim after leaving work early, I was really dressed down but that didn't effect Gillians professional customer service. I have an Omega watch and one of the pins slipped out of the band. I left it for repair and they charged me $260. when I picked it up. A few days later I flew back to Canada and the first time I wore the watch, it fell off my wrist and I didn't even notice it. My friend saw it fall to the floor. To replace this watch today, would cost $25,000. so London Gold is very lucky I didn't lose the watch or I would have sued them. I had to wait 6 months to return to Scottsdale and all this time I could not wear my watch. I returned to the store and got a refund. Then I took it to the Omega dealer and they told me that London Gold damaged my watch and it looked like they put a stainless steel pin in it instead of a white gold pin. I was shocked and asked if they were sure. They said they were pretty sure, but to take it upstairs to a place where they could test metals, which I did, and they also told me it was stainless steel. I am disgusted with London Gold and am considering my options against them. Beware of their shady practices! read more

London Gold has somehow managed to provide me and my wife with the worst consumer experience of our lives. I would recommend that everyone avoids this place at all costs. Allow me to explain... I originally purchased an amazing diamond and a beautiful custom-designed white gold setting back in 2006. I paid in cash and thanked them. My lovely bride said yes, the wedding plans were made and we were so very, very happy. While our marriage has been wonderful, our experience with London Gold since has been a complete disaster. As we got closer to our wedding day, my wife returned to London Gold to purchase a wedding band to add to the engagement ring. She gave them very specific instructions that she did not want the two bands soldered together and that she wanted a light brushed finish. Unfortunately when she returned to pick up the ring it was soldered and heavily brushed. (D'oh). She was upset, but we weren't going to let this ruin our big day. Eventually after the honeymoon and we had some time to settle down, we followed up with London Gold to let them know that we were unhappy with our service. They brushed the problem aside. We pressed for a resolution and they told us to write a formal complaint letter, so we did. We received no response! Years later we needed to take the ring to get resized, as my wife hadn't been wearing the ring for over a year since it didn't fit. We attempted to avoid London Gold because of our bad experience, so we went to both the Shane Co. and Hamra Jewelers to see if they would resize the ring for us. Both of these stores told us that there were issues with the porosity of the gold as though it had been damaged years ago when London Gold first soldered the two bands together. We were horrified. When my wife confronted London Gold on this issue, they insisted that there was nothing wrong with the ring and that it was simply a matter of the other jewelers trying to steal their business. They were disrespectful and condescending both on the phone and in person. It was clear they didn't want to help us or cared about us at all, they were just trying to get rid of us. After they attempted to resize the ring, they melted the two bands together even more. We brought this to their attention and they also shrugged and didn't think it was a problem. We also saw small dark spots on the inside of the ring and pointed this out to them. They called all of this 'normal'. They said they could have the jeweler try and etch a defining line between to the two bands as a possible solution. We let them give that a try but then their etching went off the seam! Needless to say this has been a complete nightmare and you would be best served by going somewhere else! read more

Not sure if it was because I look young and not likely to spend money or what, but no one really said a single "hello" when I walked in (and there were about 4 employees just standing there).
