Compared to nail salons in uptown the prices are great here. I used a groupon for a shellac mani and normal pedicure for 37$ and they offer the same deal in house. I made a same day appointment and they did my hand and feed at the same time which I like because for me it saves time. They need to invest in more shellac/gel colors! They were polite not very talkative which is fine by me. The pedicure lady was ok but the man that did my mani and painted my daughters nails was amazing. He was so gentle and sweet and repaired my friends broken toe nails (she's a marathoner) like magic. I will make my appointments with him from now on but did not catch his name! read more

Showed up a little early, there was only one other customer and 5 employees standing around doing nothing but I was still asked to wait until my appointment time. While I'm waiting, a man, who appeared to be one of the owners, threw a bag of bread out into the parking lot right in front of the salon. My car and several others were bombarded by a flock of pigeons!! Dozens of birds were landing and doing their business on my car. The man's own wife was upset too! They got into a very unprofessional argument right there in front of me about HER car getting crapped on! She wasn't even concerned with her customer's car. After getting her nails done and a short break, the woman began my pedicure while another man did my manicure. I asked to upgrade to a French pedicure and design on two toes (normally an additional $5-15 bucks anywhere else), was told it would be an extra $35, I passed on the upgrade. The woman doing my pedicure was more interested in the football game than doing my pedicure. She kept scrubbing too hard in one spot for too long, kept stopping to watch the game, and got polish all over my toes. Even left a lot of it on my feet when she was done. She did a very uneven polish and left a couple of the toe nails filed crooked. When she was finished, she simply got up and left. Didn't say a word. The man doing my nails was very gentle and attentive but did a poor job. They did my nails only two days ago and already have two chipped nails, one with dents in it, bubbles in one, uneven polish, an obviously crooked nail, and it already looks like it's grown out at least a week or two. He pushed my cuticles all the way back but didn't even paint my entire nail. I didn't complain, I'd rather just go somewhere more professional that has real Shellac Polish to get them done right. Then when it's time to leave, the owner guilted me into leaving a tip even though I was extremely unhappy with the service. She couldn't break a $20, so I asked her to put it on my debit card (this is what I do at any salon if I don't have cash). She says ok but they charge $5 service fee for cc/debit payments and it has to be a minimum $20 tip to put it on a card. So she wants to tell me I have to pay $25 TIP for a $37 service that I was unhappy with?! Ummmm no!! So I refused to tip, as I was walking our I saw a sign that said they only charge $3 for cc/debit payments with a minimum of $5 purchase. She was lying to get more money! I went back the next day to get them fixed and the top coat has chipped again on several nails. It is because the nail technician did not use the correct top coat, he used a gel top coat. I used the Groupon and had a mediocre experience. The man who did my nails did a great job of doing multiple coats since I chose a light color (which I appreciated him for doing so). The woman who did my pedicure did a nice job and took her time with both nails and the lovely hot towels (which I appreciated). Service wise- I was satisfied. However, professionalism-wise I was a little frazzled. The woman doing my nails wanted to talk to me (I had brought a magazine to read as a way to unwind). She then asked questions about my personal life and was fascinated I lived alone and didn't have a boyfriend. She then proceeded to describe me as "lonely" and "shallow" since I seemed too picky, hence why I didn't have a boyfriend. I was so frazzled by this conclusion she arrived at, so I awkwardly played on my phone the rest of the time. I was really looking forward to having a relaxing pedicure but couldn't fully enjoy it after this awkward conversation. I bought a Groupon for a Shellac manicure and London pedi. Firstly, the receptionist was very nice. I was happy with the pedicure. The lady was attentive. I have very ticklish feet and she was accommodating to that. I loved the polish color and it lasted a long time! The pedi is the only reason I did not give 1 star. They did my manicure and pedicure at the same time and I cannot say the same nice things about the manicure. The workers talked across the salon in their native language the entire time. At one point, a male worker even brought over a personal phone call for the manicurist to answer. Everything seemed like a joke. The lady was not attentive to my nails at all. Went here for the gel mani and pedi Groupon deal. They only take your Groupon if it is on your phone, which they didn't tell me when I booked. I had to call the person who gifted me the Groupon and had to ask for their login so I could pull it up properly. When I arrived, they were super confused when I said I had an appt, but they got me in just fine. Nobody was overly nice but not rude either. I think the vast majority don't speak any English and those that do have very limited knowledge. It was hard to get what I wanted across. My mani isn't the best ever, but it's fine. The curing machine/box kept shorting out so I was nervous, but so far so good. I was surprised to not get lotion or a hand massage. She cut the skin all the way around my nails so now my fingertips look all ratty. The pedicure was good until the polishing. Didn't go all the way to the nailbed so it looks wavy and chipped - like I've had it on for a couple weeks. Not great. I would never ever go back, but it gets two stars because my manicure does look pretty good now that the tips of my fingers aren't torn up! read more

This place is absolutely horrible. The techs are rude don't greet you, not courteous nor professional. I purchased the $37 groupon and boy was that a waste of money. I have never ever had a 6 minute manicure which is why my cuticles are still not smooth the tech couldnt even use her trimmers luckily my gel is still in tact. The London pedicure is a great concept but again the young lady had no idea how to give a pedicure. She couldn't trim my cuticles properly, polish, file etc. It's going to take way more than a groupon to grow this salon. The reason for the rating of 4 is the area. The entire time I was there, patrons of the surrounding business were extremely loud and boisterous. There was a guy on his phone outside the door for over an hour shouting and it literally gave me a headache. While this has nothing to do with the level of service I received from this business directly, it did indirectly affect my overall experience. Someone should have kindly asked the man to either lower his voice or move to a less populated area. I'm not very familiar with this part of town but it definitely inhabits a different caliber of people than what I'm accustomed to. NOT a good experience. This business is very poorly run. I was given a living social deal to this salon for a manicure, pedicure, and massage. As a new mom, I was excited to get pampered for a change. When I called to make an appointment, they told me that I had to show them the deal on my phone, they could not accept the paper print out. I informed them I could not do this as it was a gift and on the printed voucher it clearly states: "show to merchant on your mobile device or by printout." They told me I could cancel the deal and try to get my money back. I asked to speak with the owner and when I explained it to her she said I could just bring the printout. So, I show up for my manicure and pedicure (massages can only be scheduled during the week so that appointment was a scheduled for a few days later). No one said anything or greeted me for several minutes. The lady who did my pedicure was nice and did a good job. A different lady who did my manicure was nice but did not seem to know how to do nails very well. I got a french manicure set and they are very thick, too squared off and the shape bows inward at the top of the nail. I told her I wanted the nails square-ish but rounded on the edges at least 5 times because she kept asking me what I thought after she would file them. Finally, I asked to see the nail file and showed her what I wanted. I don't think she understood because I still had to re-file and re-shape all my nails when I got home. Then, when I went to pay, the man there told me he could not accept the printout and I had to have the barcode on my phone for them to scan. I told him I did not have this and showed him the living social voucher printout. He continued to argue that he had to have this until I told him I spoke with the owner, Kay, and she told me they would accept it. Also, they were only accepting cash because their machines were down, so many of the customers had to go to the atm and withdraw money to pay. My massage was scheduled for the next week, but after this experience I decided I would be too uncomfortable to have a massage there. I tried calling the morning of my appointment and no one picked up. I called again 30 minutes before my appointment to cancel and the man informed me that it was ok because their massage person was not there and had decided not to come in today. WHAT?? When were they going to tell me that?--when I walked in for my appointment? No one thought to call and inform me of this? Very poor customer service. read more

I went in on a Tuesday afternoon for a Mani/Pedi and have never been more disappointed. First, my pedicure only lasted about 25 minutes- from start to finish. The tech did a very poor job and seemed angry when I asked for the water to be warmer. But that wasn't the end of it. When we moved to the manicure part, I was sitting patiently waiting for my previous polish to "melt" and saw him using the utensils for my hands to remove dirt from under his own nails. Needless to say I was horrified! When I said we were finished and what did I owe for my pedicure, I was told $45, even though the sign in the window clearly says $18 for pedicures. I paid him $20 and attempted to leave explaining I wouldn't pay the higher price, that's when he locked me and my 10 year old son inside of the store. We walk in, and they were only accepting cash, that's fine. I pick my color and stand there as I wasn't told where to sit, a lady pointed to the manicure area not indicating which chair. There were lots of hand gestures and very little verbal communication. The guy doing my nails comes up, points to the chair, doesn't even greet me. I didn't get his name because I guess he was a mute, but he's short, kind of bald, wears glasses when working on your nails, frowning, had a silver necklace with a large jade Buddha pendant. Before he starts, I ask to change my color, he gets an instant attitude (whatever). I pick my new color and we begin. While he's working on me a few others walk in and he begins rushing my nails. As he's grunting for me to switch out my hands in the uv nail dryer I notice the polish is messing up. One nail wasn't polished properly, so I pointed it out to him, his attitude gets worse!! He grabs my hand and as he's repositioning my hand slams it down on the table, I guess because doing my nails is such a huge inconvenience for him. He fixes my nail and does more grunting, when he's done he walks away...not a single word. No "you're finished", no "thank you", no "pay at the front", nothing just walks away with my hand still in the UV dryer. Needless to say he didn't get a tip. The manager, that's a Mexican female, is extremely rude and will talk about you in Spanish to the other girls. I gave 3 stars because the woman who did my pedi and mani really tried to please me as I am very picky. However, the nail color selection is horrible. Old polish with cheap choices. I requested a gel french mani and marshmallow color choice for my toes. After the french mani - done well but two nails look horrible up close but decent from far. My pedicure was much to be desired. The color I requested was not available and I was told to pick something else with a wave of the hand. I specifically requested that color and if it was not available then I should have been told when i walked in and would have ran home and brought my own. My slippers were put on after my toe nails were done so my polish got messed up. I would not go back unless it is an emergency. A complimentary drink was not offered until I requested and even then I was told that they had earlier but ran out. As others stated conversations were screamed across the salon to other workers in there native language which makes you think they are talking about you. Also, I requested the channel to be changed because it was an information and was told that did not know how to change the channel. I had a wonderful experience! I called, made an appointment and they got me in a chair right away! Had my nails and toes done at the same time, which was nice not having to spend hours there. A sweet man offered me and drink and got me a blanket! Usually when you tell a business before hand that you will be using a groupon, then you are treated differently.... But this was not the case!!
