I was looking for a place not far from me for my monthly spa needs and found this place while I was shopping at Petco-checked out their IG and FB page and loved their work, so I made an appt for a manicure and fell in love! This nail spa looks small from the outside, but is actually pretty spacious once you're in the building. It's very modern and has lots of great amenities , including a full bar?! What's not to love about that? My nail tech was friendly and a great conversationalist. He made me feel comfortable and was attentive throughout the manicure process. One thing I definitely appreciated was how transparent they were about cost-they broke down the price for me by telling me what the basic charge for dip powder nails was, and extra charges for a specific shape/length, and adding things like holographic glitter and ombré. Nails were around $80 before tip, which some might say is pricy, but I've had so many nails experiences, from basic $35 nails that broke and had shoddy craftsmanship, to overpriced $90 nails that were not worth the charge. I chose this nail salon because it's conveniently located across from my house. Needing a quick gel mani-pedi, I walked in on a Thursday afternoon for their happy hour, which includes a 15% discount! Their check-in sheet is helpful, offering a clear way to communicate your needs. Plus, they provide complimentary beverages--I went for champagne! However, the gel pedi was just okay. The nail tech didn't invest much time, and the foot massage wasn't enjoyable; it even hurt a bit due to lack of effort! The gel mani was mid too. Some nails had lopsided polish near the cuticle, and I discovered a cut on my finger afterward, which started stinging after leaving! The nail tech also made awkward jokes about me dating the receptionist, causing me to be very uncomfortable. Me gel mani started chipping after just a week whereas I've had gel manis last over two months. My gel pedi is still going strong though! Took my little one there as she wanted her nails done for her birthday, so we both got mani/pedi. First thing I asked was if they had matching color for nails and toes, they said yes. I showed them my Inspo pic with glitter around the edges, several staff said they could do it, as it's a simple design. I asked the lady to trim down my toes some but that I like them longer, she cut them very short and didn't even paint the full nail, leaving lots of the nails without polish. The color on my fingers does not match my toes like I asked, and the lady was unable to do the design, a simple glitter outline around the nail. My nails are thick, clumpy and lumpy. I have done my own dip and gel X at home with better results. The nails are uneven and spotty. My little one asked for hearts and bows on her nails, they looked awful! I could have done a better job myself. They did not look professionally done, even the lady behind the counter during checkout asked what the design was supposed to be because they looked that bad. She even asked me why the nail tech was unable to outline my nails with glitter, saying that it's simple to do and she wasn't sure why it wasn't done. I told them I was dissatisfied and even with the discount for terrible service and birthday discount, it was almost $200. SAVE YOUR MONEY, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!! I tried Highland Nail Bar for the first time and it was okay quality for a manicure. I was in and out within 15 minutes or so and wasn't too impressed with the quality. The vibe was nice and a clean environment so that was the best part. Also, prices are good and much less expensive than higher end salons in Uptown. This review is based on customer service and quality. This can be a decent nail salon if you have a lot of time to spare. I came in on a Sunday to get a gel pedi and dip mani. I was over promised on the wait time and waited a lot longer than told. The dip manicure literally chipped the next day. When I went in to get it fixed, I was told the wait would be an hour, which is absurd for a Monday. I was in a rush but told them I could wait for no more than 1 hour and they over promised to get me in. 1 hour later, they told me with lackluster that it would be another 15 minutes at least so I just left. I'm 7+ months pregnant at the time of this review, so maybe some of this is more annoying to me currently than it should be. I walked in for a pedi on a slow afternoon - maybe 2 other customers being seen. I had to wait over 15 mins without communication, they just sat me in a pedi chair with cold water and walked away. When my assigned nail tech came over, he then multitasked and helped other customers for the first 15 minutes of my pedi. He did not communicate, shaped all of my nails differently and different lengths, half assed the massage, etc. Wanted to love this spot as it's so close to my house, but it's a "no" from me. read more

The shape wasn't perfect. And I got cut on several fingers from the drill and nail file. I bled from some of the cuts. It sucks that I paid to get my nails done, but I had to go home and fix them. It was my first time there. I heard so many good things, so I had high hopes; maybe too high. Maybe I just got unlucky or maybe Peter was just having a bad day, but it just didn't come out right. My nails look better now that I reshaped them, but my fingers still hurt from the cuts. Peter and the staff were super nice and the location was very clean but I won't be returning. read more

I absolutely LOVE my nails!! I have been here once before, when I was on vacation and I got my nails done for new year eve. They were beautiful as well. I live here permanently now and this is officially my new salon! Full disclosure: I even accidentally spilled my champagne on Linda and she was so sweet about it. I booked an appointment for the first time at this location for Dipping powder, few of my nails were broken so they were supposed to use tips on my nails, they didn't glue them well on my nails, there is a big gap between my nails and the tips!!! If you're looking for a new nail spot, become a regular here I always go to Jessie, but all their other technicians never disappoint. Not a particularly enjoyable experience. They told me it'd be a 10-15 minute wait and it was closer to 30. The manicure bar they had me sit at was covered in the previous customer's nail dust; instead of wiping and sanitizing it the tech just put towels down on top of the mess. The nail tools used were not sanitized. My gel manicure was rushed and sloppy, my nail edges were jagged and cuticles flooded with polish. I did appreciate being offered a drink. read more

Went on a Sunday with my daughter and husband. We all got pedicures and it was great! My husband fell asleep during his pedicure. I was so drowsed and relaxed it was all I could do to communicate. The Techs got along very well and we're attentive to us. Not a lotta cross chatter between them. I am bilingual and know that sometimes you see someone who speaks your language and want to indulge. But when you are providing a service and constantly talk so as not to be understood I think that is rude on the workers part. I would never do that to them if I still worked in HR and had them come in and apply for a job and start talking to my coworkers in a foreign language so as not to be understood. It is obvious they are tearing you apart! There are breaks and lunch times to vent. But like I said we got none of that. Everyone spoke a common language English. My daughter and I got Gel mania and they were great!! Both French style. I would have given them 5* if they had filled my daughters sink with warm water while he did her nails as they had her sitting in on the pedicure chairs. It would have been more relaxing had they done that. Otherwise I would have given them a 5 stars. read more

I've come here 3 separate times in a year and half and my experience is never good. I keep giving this place a chance because I really want to like them. They have kid pedi-chairs, it's close to my home, and they always have such cool nail designs advertised and posted on here. They advertise chrome nails when you walk in but none of the times has anyone known how to do them. The first time I came a year ago for my birthday in February and spent easily over 150$ for gel nails and pedicure with chrome on the toes. They did do a good job and were sweet but it was like being a model for a store tutorial and it took over two hours before I was able to walk out. I came again this year-same situation. I booked 5 people in the morning for pedicures and manicures at 5pm. My sister and her friend from NY arrived early and I walked in with my two small kids for pedicures. My sister tells me they are short-staffed and are running 45 minutes behind schedule so my sister took my kids and left so I could still enjoy my bday mani/pedi. Her friend was soaking her nails off already so we stay. My pedi went well but my manicure was a nightmare. No communication on what manicure service I wanted, no actual massage and when I asked for Chrome the girl acted like she knew what to do. She proceeded to dip my fingers 8 times and the chrome looked glitter not metallic. Also there was a gap between the cuticle and the actual polish that looked the Grand Canyon on my hands. I don't like to be difficult and when I mentioned to the girl that there was a gap she told me that was my nail. I left it at that, I didn't want to ruin my birthday and I was already embarrassed that my sister and kids had to leave since they could not accommodate them. We were there 3 hours and were never offered anything to drink, my out-of-town friend kept saying she was thirsty to no avail. Extremely embarrassed I booked this place when there are so many nail shops around here. At the end when it was over, one of the store associates asked if I was happy with the service, I was honest and said no because the nails looked gloppy, thick, miss shapen, polish ALL OVER THE CUTICLE (my husband asked me if my 9 year old painted my nails ) and I did not receive any massage or relaxing service. The associate agreed that the nails were not up to par and I should return again for a re-do in two days. But honestly, I don't have the time to "treat myself" so much and time is a luxury. At checkout they told me I was not charged for Chrome ( it's an extra 15$ I think) but I still walked out paying 135$ (plus tip) for crappy nails and told at the re-do I would pay the 15$. I've already gone through that whole song and dance of having to come get things redone here the other two times I've come. It's my fault I keep trying to give this place a chance. Tori did dip on my natural nails. She was extremely sweet, friendly & relatable. She took her time on my nails and her massage was the best! Very firm which is how I like them. (Wish she had done the massage on my toes) And Kay did my toes. She took her time as well and I loved that about both of them. Kay made sure to concentrate very hard and was very precise. She got my toes perfectly how I want them and to my liking. Which is hard to say because I'm especially picky about the end results on my toes. Even without voicing out to Kay what areas needed special care & attention, she took care of them and paid much attention to detail on her own. Just like a PRO! Although her massaging could use more strength/force and effort I was very much willing to sacrifice that if it meant she got my toes like she did. Which were perfect.
