I've been going here for facials for a year. Since then my skin has improved dramatically. Like not even going into Monique being super cool, she does a great job. Neither of these pictures have filters, the only difference is when they were taken and the lighting. As of now I have significantly fewer breakouts. It's easier to apply makeup. After a week long wearing them my eyelashes fell out and so asked her to refund me or fix them and she acted like she was doing me a favor! This place gives shady vibes and is always empty! I was getting phone calls constantly while I was at work from this studio. Who even does that?! Not everyone can answer a phone call in the middle of work. Two weeks ago I had purchased the Groupon for 3 gel manicures at this salon. I had contacted the number listed above to make my first appointment, and had asked if it was possible to book two weeks in advance, for yesterday at 430 pm. She said yes and asked me for my first & last name as well as my email. Fast forward to yesterday morning, the day of my appointment, I had decided to text just to confirm for my appointment. And good thing I did because it turns out she didn't "see my text" responding with my first & last name and email, so she never even saved my appointment. Mind you, I had rearranged my work schedule to get off early enough to make this appointment. After all this I didn't even receive an apology! And just offered to make an appointment for next week. I debated posting this review due to the fact that I really do want to support small businesses, especially those ran by women. However, my facial experience with London was pretty subpar. Walking in, she told me I brought in a stressful vibe.. which I don't disagree with, hence why I was going for a facial? But I think it's off-putting to say that to a customer. During the facial, she tells me 'can you believe I get this stuff from the dollar tree?' Referring to the facial tools she was currently using on my face? Also, during the facial she wanted me to open my eyes every time she exfoliated to see whatever she proudly extracted from my pores.(gross) She also said she was out of headbands, so instead of wrapping a towel around my hairline, she just pressed all the lotions and creams into my hair so I had to go home and wash my hair after. Once it was over she told me to turn on the lights as if I knew where they were. To be honest, my face didn't look any different, and the whole experience was just.. weird, not relaxing or pampering at all. Anyways I hope this is constructive if they plan on doing more facials in the future, because I did notice they have a lot of great lash reviews on here. read more
