So my son is a beginner and they were made aware of this and said he could join in with the rest of the students. He doesn't know the basics and they throw him in with all these tournament kids. The instructor showed the group how to do these advanced moves only once and he made the kids partner up to practice it. The kid that was partnered with my son was frustrated because he wasn't doing it right. My son was frustrated and upset because he didn't know exactly what to do. I don't blame the child, he's not a teacher. I blame the instructor. I watched all this happen and I was LIVID. Do not take your child here if they are not experienced. My son was dealing with confidence issues as is, and this made it worse. Thanks alot!

He is serious when it comes to firearm safety, though. He's funny enough to make important points stick in one's memory, and serious enough to maintain an air of competence. The support staff is well-trained and professional. The range is nothing fancy, but it does the trick. Besides, when you're training for defensive pistol usage, do you really want your training to be in a completely controlled environment? This CPL course is more than just the absolute bare-minimum. You get a taste of defensive tactics. I can only hope they offer an intermediate and advanced course as well for those who want to take their training a step beyond once they obtain their CPL.
