Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had, avoid this company at all costs. I've been waiting over two months to get my fridge repaired. While the technician "Francisco" seemed knowledgeable during the first visit, it turned out to be misleading. He missed issues that should have been diagnosed initially and later admitted, "I guess I missed it the first time." Parts supposedly took over a month to arrive, and my appointments have been rescheduled more times than I can count. This has been a complete nightmare from start to finish. Horrible communication from the get go! Mainly with the office people. Cesar was alright, but he came unprepared. Came to do repair without torch to install, then had to leave to meet with coworker to get torch. Then after he gets back to my house, realizes the tank is empty, so he had to leave for another hour to get filled up. After repair was finished and he left, wre found scrap pieces of bronze tubing and fittings on the kitchen floor. But my biggest problem with woth the office which miscommunicated from the get go! Horrible. Only used them through home warranty. 2 different technicians came out over the course of 5 visits and my washing machine issue was still never resolved. Between having to wait on several parts to be ordered, same day reschedules and missed appointment times I can truly say they suck. On top of that, I was told the first technician got fired and the second one was clearly a racist and made comments referring to "cotton picking" and my "thick, nappy hair". I took the filter out to try and remove anything that may be stuck. The water is dirty because the dishwasher will not drain and the dishwasher is not abused, it was just installed a few months ago. Of course it is unsanitary, if the water does not drain. I can't imagine anyone's dishwasher or water being clean or sanitized if the dishwasher won't drain. Due to the technician's comments, my case he has been rejected. The technician told me the repair would be covered under my warranty. He stated that the only time a case is rejected is if he breaks something while trying to fix something and it is obvious that the drain pump does not work at no fault of yours, so it will be covered 100%. He said Samsung appliances are typical to have issues. Lone Star Appliances will not stand by what their own technician told me what does not seem right. This shows that the company obviously is not trustworthy! Cesar should not have told me the repair would be covered 100% if there was a possibility it would not be. 6/13 I just wanted to add that the technician from Lone Star Appliances did not diagnose the problem properly, because my dishwasher was drained and the problem was the dishwasher needed a new air gap part, not the need for a new drain pump. He did not bother to look at the air gap or do anything other than push buttons on the dishwasher and then decide I needed a new drain pump. I should get my $75 back, because he failed to do his job properly and I should not have to pay a service call for not getting proper service. read more

"Shane" arrived at the appt. time as arranged and diagnosed my refrigerator problem in 3 minutes. He returned with the parts that had been ordered and upon installation, my fridge works perfectly. His first visit was on May 8; he returned to complete the repair on May 23. The reason for the 4 stars: on his first visit, he said he would be back in 7 to 10 business days. When I questioned the time frame; his office has to submit the information to my home warranty company for repair approval, then parts are ordered and then another appointment is made. So I was without a refrigerator for 15 days, 16 counting when I called the home warranty company. That's a long time to be without a refrigerator. I lost alot of food and ended up buying a small mini- fridge from Lowe's. From the time I placed an online order for a sales priced decent size mini-fridge: 2 hours! I would have given a 4.5 star rating had that been available due to the time to deal with the "middleman": the warranty company and maybe a parts order delay? Screwed us big time. Our dishwasher wasn't dropping soap. Called Lone Star in Willis. The guy (I believe WT?) diagnosed pump needed replaced at $380. Visit was $95. We decided to buy new dishwasher due to high cost of pump. Bought new one and called LS to install which they happily did for $175. The new dishwasher did the same thing, leading me to believe the problem wasn't the dishwasher but the water input. Called a plumber and sure enough it was a kink in the water line. Plumber fixed it and all was good. So the Lone Star guy is either extremely inept or very dishonest. Their website gushes that all their repair people are experts! We got rid of a good dishwasher not yet 4 years old. I called LS and talked to Darlene, office manager, who said she'd pass my message to the owner. No response. Called again and Darlene said the owner said the pump was broken. A bold-faced lie. I only asked for reimbursement of both service calls. That's the least they could do since the whole thing needlessly set me back about $1,000. That's a small price to pay to save customer goodwill. They wouldn't even do that. That's how low-life these people are. They all lied...the repair guy, the owner, and the office manager...and blew me off. These people are despicable. I had an ice maker go out on my fridge. My home warranty company (AHG) used Lonestar for the repairs. AHG was a nightmare with NO communication. Lonestar was great. The technician who first came out (Shane) looked at my fridge and without even looking inside said, "I can tell you what the problem is." and pointed at the Samsung label on the front. LOL He then examined the ice maker, explained what the problem was, and how he would fix it when the replacement came in. He also told me in advance that they did so many of these that they didn't have any in stock and would have to order them. Once the parts came in, Shane came out and did the work. He did a great job for us. AHG on the other hand was of nightmare of delays and lack of communication. Definitely use Lonestar. Definitely avoid AHG. read more

I would not even give this place a 1 star. They were assigned by our warranty company to fix our washer. I actually lost count on how many visits it took them to fix almost every part in the washer (first visit was to diagnose and order right part) wait time between each visit is at least 2 weeks. It seemed like they had no clue what was wrong, so they pretty much played the warranty company on replacing each part, one-by-one. I was with out a washer for more than 5 months. The owner who runs this place keeps searching to hire new tech, cause none she hires are good... UNRELIABLE!!The warranty company assigned Lone Star to service my refrigerator. The guy did come out a day or two after the original call . My compressor needed to be replaced . This was in late April. When I would call them , I get excuse after excuse . They said the warranty company didn't send them the parts yet . I called the warranty company and the rep immediately called Lone Star (This is mid- May.) I was told that I would have an appointment on the following Thursday. When the appointment time arrived, I received a text message stated " my compressor leaked oil "and they were going to expedite another one for Monday . My dishwasher was out and took a month for parts to come in (I'm sure not their fault) but no calls to let me know anything. I had to call them to get information. The tech sent to fix the issue spent more time on Google to see if it could tell him what the problem was. Even after the parts were replaced, he left saying it was fixed but in reality, it wasn't. I had to argue with them to get them back to fix it again. This company is terrible and would not recommend them to anyone. Horrible experience with this company, very frustrated with them! My home warranty scheduled their technician to come in on May 17th, and they did. They ordered the part not right away a but when I constantly started following up the last week of May because haven't heard form them. Then they said it will take approximately 7-15 days for the part to arrive since the time they ordered it. Then they have told me they will schedule me for a technician to come in and replace the part the second week of June they never showed up so I had to follow up again and again they said they will schedule me for Monday. Today is Monday June 28th and the technician was on this way almost arriving at 1:20 pm them he calls me and says there is a missing part or wrong part and he needs to order the new correct part. I am shocked. How much more time should I wait for this new part to my simple GE dishwasher to arrive and them to deliver the job they promised? They just dropped me and said they will provide no explanations to what happened and that I should contact my home warranty because the will no longer be responsible for this job. This is the worse service call my husband and I have had since we own Any Appliance! I told the receptionist or whoever answer my call on yesterday and I described that my dryer was not tumbling which we knew it was the belt(39.95) around the drum and was told a pulley might have to be replaced also and the $65 Service fee would be waived if repairs were done...when he got here, could not use our landline to get a quote, he went outside and came back with a $375 bill plus the $65almost $450!!!
