    Amarillo at its best!

Not a better steak in Amarillo. Outstanding service. A little rustic but that is on purpose. It carries the Ambiance of Amarillo through its' existence. It won't take eating there more than twice and you will become part of their family as they are yours and mine!

    12 oz ribeye.

They have surprisingly good food for a hole-in-the-wall restaurant located in the countryside just down the street from Amarillo Dragway where we spent our weekend. It's a no frills bar and grill with a pool table, some tv's, and a good size menu which includes steaks. I cannot express enough how friendly and welcoming the owner (I'm assuming) of the restaurant was, he was a true delight. I order the 12 oz Ribeye with baked potato (fries option) and it came with a side salad. When I try a new steak place I always order my meat medium rare so it doesn't get over cooked, that was a mistake here. They know how to cook to the proper doneness, so order with confidence. I sent my steak back for a couple more minutes and it was fine. The loaded baked potato was perfectly cooked and delicious. There was one odd thing, the meal comes with the tiniest serving of beans I've ever seen. It was in one of those little plastic cups you get at fast food places to put your ketchup in and was only half full. I think that if they can't give a proper serving size they should probably just skip this addition because it looks thrifty. My husband ordered the 18 oz Ribeye cooked medium and it was outstanding! It is a thicker cut of meat and had a really beautiful char on the outside. This is the steak I will order in the future. It's too much to eat in one sitting, but I will happily take it home.

Stopped by the day after Thanksgiving and the steak was wonderful! Grace and I split the 24oz and it was so flavorful and perfect for two. I asked for A1 steak sauce forgetting that we were in Texas. Grace had a fully loaded baked potatoe and I picked the onion rings. Yummm to both. Jack has the 12oz rib eye and he loved it. We ended our meal by splitting the peach cobbler with ice cream. So glad we split dessert since all of us were still stuffed from our Thanksgiving feast the day before. Definitely worth the stop, even on a full stomach!!!!

Out of the way place in Amarillo. Not much to look at; small & unpretentious. Good service. Ordered 12 oz ribeye & husband ordered 18 oz ribeye. Steaks were ok; cooked as ordered, but relied on black pepper & garlic butter on the steak for its flavor. Not prime cuts; maybe choice. Some gristle. Baked potato was done right. Salad had seen better days. All in all, it was ok -- not bad, just ok. Was it worth the price? I don't think so. Would I return? I don't think so.

Steaks were great, service was great. I ordered my filet medium rare and it came out perfect the ribeye was also very good. I would definitely recommend. I don't know what they did to the pinto beans but they were very flavorful.

Ate here tonight. The meal was excellent. Despite what Yelp says this place was open on a Sunday in November. We chatted with the proprietor, who said that they'd bought it in August (so it's under new management). My husband and I both had the bacon wrapped Filrt, which was tender and perfectly cooked. It was delicious. The baked potato was good. The waitress said they also make their own salad dressing. Service was excellent.

But my 10-ounce filet was the size of my entire hand, and my friend's 16-ounce ribeye took up half his plate.

If you are looking for white tablecloths, subtle lighting, or a quiet place to whisper sweet…read morenothings, keep driving past Coyote Bluff Cafe (often locally called the "Coyote Bluu" or simply "The Bluff") in Amarillo, Texas. But if your idea of culinary heaven involves a grease-stained paper liner, an old-school Texas roadhouse vibe, and a burger that requires structural support, you have arrived at the right place. Nestled just a few blocks off Interstate 40 in a historic, diminutive former dance hall moved wholesale from neighboring Claude, Texas, Coyote Bluff is tiny. With only about 12 tables packed into its 1,000 square feet, the atmosphere is alive with a loud, friendly hum, a dirt parking lot, and a vintage bathtub floating full of ice and cold beer bottles. The place is amazing!!!! The unique steaming process is really amazing. You have to try the chili cheese fries to go with it. The menu keeps its focus tight, centering around half-pound patties of lean Texas ground beef cooked to order. While traditional options like the Hickory Burger and the Green Chili Cheese Burger are stellar, the undisputed heavyweight titleholder here is the legendary Burger from Hell. I had to try it, my wife opted for the Chicken Fried Steak. Many approach the "Hell Burger" with great trepidation, expecting it to be more of a gimmick built strictly on painful, mouth-numbing heat. Instead, it offers a beautifully layered flavor profile. The beef patty with Tabasco and their proprietary "Coyote Hell Sauce," then smothers it in gooey melted cheese, grilled onions, and fresh, vibrant sautéed jalapeños. It arrived on a toasted onion bun, it lands a solid 7 out of 10 on the heat scale. But rather than scorching your palate, it wraps it in a vinegary, spicy, deeply savory warmth. This place also serves up classic, heavy-hitting Texas roadhouse appetizers: Each of these are amazing sides and are worth of mentioning, First the Cheese Fries with Green Chiles, which I had with my burger and my wife had with her Chicken fried steak, it is served on a massive aluminum platter, these fresh-cut fries are heavily blanketed in melted cheese and mild green chiles. They are a mandatory companion to the burgers.  Other appetizers worth of note, are the Texas Red Chili & Green Chili Stew: The thick, hearty green chili stew is packed with meat and mild green peppers, offering a wonderful warming comfort, especially during cool Panhandle days.  and any of the Fried options ranging from baskets of battered fried pickles, garlic mushrooms, and stuffed jalapeños. Because everything is cooked to order and the dining room is incredibly compact, expect a wait during lunch rushes or weekends. However, that time spent waiting in the dirt lot among locals and passing road-trippers is part of the charm. Coyote Bluff Cafe doesn't try to be anything other than a spectacular, small-town Texas burger joint, and it executes that identity flawlessly. This is a MUST Stop in Texas

Looked this up for a great new place to eat on a drive through Amarillo. It did not disappoint…read more Small little place and you wait outside but it was breezy and only had a short wait. Once inside you notice the charm of it all. Dollar bills all over the walls, showing multiple satisfied customers. Two servers/ waitresses working their tails off. They were very polite and patient with all the patrons. Ordered the bacon cheese burgers. All I can say is you better have an appetite, they are half pound patties and piled high with the fixings. Excellent & satisfaction is all I can say. Also for the half & half- fries and onion rings. Hot and freshly made. This is definitely a place to try out. Interesting and the food was well worth the $. Kudos to the cooks!

Have you ever wanted to eat out... but not actually dine out? So you order takeout and immediately…read moreget that little feeling of apprehension like, "Please let this food be as good as it would've been in the restaurant." Well, that was us today -- and Bubba's 33 absolutely delivered. My husband ordered the smash burger, and I got the New England-style fish and chips, plus a full order of their hand-breaded, hand-cut onion rings that are honestly to die for. We picked everything up just 15 minutes after ordering, and every single item tasted like it had just come straight from the kitchen to our table. The onion rings were perfectly crispy with that fresh-from-the-fryer crunch and flavor. The fish had that classic crunchy beer batter on the outside while still being flaky and tender inside, and the garlic mashed potatoes were clearly homemade with just the right amount of garlic. Now let's talk about the smash burger... it was HUGE. Seriously, it could feed three people. My husband practically inhaled it before I could even take a picture! What really impressed me wasn't just the portion sizes -- it was the attention to detail. The onion rings were packaged separately so they stayed crisp, and the savory Bubba's 33 sauce paired perfectly with them. We each ate several onion rings and STILL had leftovers. Even the side salad was incredibly fresh. I'm obsessed with those little crispy potato straws on top, and the homemade ranch is the perfect finishing touch. Honestly, it was refreshing to order takeout and not have a single issue. Nothing missing, nothing cold, nothing soggy or stale -- just an exceptional meal from start to finish. Huge shoutout to the cooking staff and online order prep team at Bubba's 33. You all absolutely crushed it tonight. We will definitely be ordering again and again!
