My A/C stopped working in the middle of a severe heat wave. I forgot that only rooftop A/C units are allowed in the Park. And rooftop units cost at least double what small window units cost. I had recently lost my job, and I couldn't buy a rooftop unit. My cousin installed a small window unit for me. The next day, a Park Manager told me that my A/C must be removed because it makes the Park look "trashy". She said that they were being very generous to give me one week; usually they give only 24 hours to comply. I wondered if health & safety matter to her, at all. Beside that, there were several very "trashy"-looking sites that seem to have been that way for years. Why were those allowed to remain as-is? It just didn't make sense to me. I found a nice little park in the country that is cheaper. It doesn't have ducks, but I've lived most of my life without ducks. I'm out! read more

This RV park was one of many parks we have been to. Family owned and maintained. The staff is very friendly. We had a pull thru site. The campground has plenty of trees for shade. The bathrooms are spotless. We enjoyed our stay. We had a 43' 5th wheel. Great prices for the night. We will definitely be returning. read more

A review was made with utter lies about my stay with Lonestar, so I'll make an "in response" review to clarify. We have a brand new 2019 travel trailer, along with new hoses & sewer connection pieces. Nothing about our connections were ever "improper or not up to code" as claimed. None of the many RV parks we have stayed with since purchasing our rig has ever found us to be anything other than model guests. Ironic the first negative review I have had to make about a park results in this behavior from staff. I find it completely deplorable that a business would conduct themselves in such a petty manner. Rather than address legitimate issues with the park, or accept an honest review they decide to ATTACK a guest both verbally and in written form. Then proceed to spread lies in an attempt to discredit an honest review. I'm appalled and you should be ashamed of yourselves. As far as my dog who has been through training and obeys all given commands both on and off leash we've never had any issues controlling him as he is incredibly well behaved. The only time he was ever not on a leash was when entering our camper, or our vehicle. All of two steps from the tire of my car to inside the backseat!!! We were neighborly and remain friendly with the other guest that were closest to our site. Our only issue was with the staff! It's nearly impossible to speed through the park due to the large amount of ducks freely roaming the entire park, so enough said on that. We are not smokers, so not sure how cigarettes could have possibly affected the cleanliness our site.... The claim that we owed any balance is completely baseless!! Actually we could've been owed a credit if your policy wasn't strictly against any refunds. We voluntarily left 3 days early after being repeatedly harassed and berated by park staff, even though we pre paid for our entire months stay. I suggest some serious policy change in accepted staff behavior if you ever plan to remain in business. The attacking and defamation of guests is just completely unacceptable, you have been reported. read more

Lone Star Lakes Rv Park - Notice from office staff/park owner - RV Parks Near Me - New Caney, Texas

Lone Star Lakes is run by folks who obviously take great pride in their facility. The restrooms/showers were always clean and in good order. They place trash cans in corals strategically near multiple sites and empty them daily. They even thought of lighting each sites utility pedestal for ease of use at night. The sites are paved and have a raised wooden deck with picnic table on them. There is a centrally located, air conditioned recreation room with tables and plenty of games for entertainment. We did not use the washer/dryer facilities but I have no doubt they are cared for as well as the rest of the campground. The pool was clean and fenced in for safety. Wifi was great with good speeds. Our Verizon service worked perfectly while there as well. As others have said there are seasonal and long term residents but we have no complaints at all. Everyone was quiet, friendly and polite during our stay. There are plenty of restaurants and stores withing just a few miles of the RV park. We tried Airi Poke & Ramen and Sub Zero Nitrogen Ice Cream while we were there. They are only a few minutes from Big Rivers Waterpark. After seeing the campground that is across the street from Big Rivers I am glad we stayed here. So much shade vs none at all. The lake is beautiful and the ducks were fun and unafraid. We found them wandering near us quite often. We have stayed in a few RV parks now and this one is at the top of our list. Thanks for a great stay! read more

We enjoyed staying here, they were very easy to work with and reasonably accommodating. We've stayed in both the day spots and in the longer stay section, both were nice. They keep the grounds very clean and tidy which is difficult with all those beautiful pine trees! Our dog loved the dog park, that was a big deciding factor in us choosing this place. The laundry room was always clean and working, as well as the showers. The bathrooms could probably used a little more cleaning but I understand with that many people, it's gotta be difficult to maintain. We also appreciated the prices, we didn't feel like we were being over charged, we definitely got our money worth in staying at lone star rv resort. read more

If you enjoy cramped lots, being right on top of your neighbor, subpar amenities, rude staff, and unbelievably strict "park rules" then Lonestar is the place for you. Our family won't come back to this place. We received several notices attempted to charge fees for day time visitors, not even over night guests. I could go on and on about complaints, but do yourself a favor and just find a better and nicer place to stay read more

Disgraceful people! Facts listed below have been shared with the attorney generals office as well as the BBB. This type of behavior can not continue. 8/23/17 - Called Lonestar RV Park to make a reservation and shared that I was evacuating Port Aransas due to hurricane Harvey, and that my "service animal" and I would be staying for a week starting.Reservation was complete. 8/24/17 - Checked in with no issues. 8/25/17 - 10am returned to the park from the grocery store and my "service animal" and I exit our vehicle to a yelling man in a golf cart asking "is that is a Pitbull?" My reply to him was "why do you ask, shes a service dog. He claimed they don't allow Pitbulls. To which I replied "Okay good she's not a Pitbull (generic term for 3 or more breeds of canines.) Besides she is a federally protected under the Americans with Disabilities Act. He said okay and was on his way. Within 5 min of our conversation I receive a call from the office asking if I had a Pitbull with me, and that they needed to see the dog. I brought the dog into the office with her service vest on. The man who was on the golf cart was in the office and continued to be demeaning. To both myself and my service animal. During this two ladies working in the office felt it necessary to try to identify the breed of my "service animal!" Meanwhile the owner is listening from the other office, and rushes out to give his opinion on the matter. His words in an angry elevated voice FINGER WAGGING at me, "You better keep that vest on the dog at all times if you're going to stay here!" End of the conversation and I left the office back to my unit. 8/26/17 - No further issues. Although hurricane Harvey makes landfall and the down pour of rain begins and continues through out the day and into the evening. I begin to notice that the RV park is beginning to flood. 8/27/17 - 8am I check the water levels around my RV and notice that there is approximately 14-16in of water from the back step of my RV (pictures documented.) I make the decision to leave the RV park as the rain forecast is set for record levels and for the next 4 days. I move to an alternate location that has high ground. Ill also note that as quick as the office was to call me about my "service dog," they shared no concerns with the amount of water my area was taking on, and offered no help as I packed up to avoid being flooded. 8/31/17 - After 5 days of nonstop rain, I called Lone Star Lakes RV Park to discuss any options regarding a refund or concession based on the fact that their park was flooding. ONLY for the days that I had not stayed there, 4 days. The lady who answered said they do not offer any refunds, but would talk to the owner and see what they could do. I received a call back after 3 hours with their decision. Their decision was they would NOT offer any refund or concession to me. And that "I SHOULD HAVE STAYED AND WAITED IT OUT!" read more

Great RV Park! It's a little older, but very nice and clean! The overnight/weekly spots are centrally located and have decks and plenty of room. The lake is awesome and I've caught bass, perch, and catfish EVERY TIME I've wet a hook! The office personnel are great to work with and are accommodating. My parents rented a spot for 1 night and kept my son over night for a camping slumber party. When we came to drop him off we stayed for lunch and took a walk around the property. Even though I did not stay the night I would say the only negative from what I saw was the spaces are very close together. My parents were lucky to get the end spot and had a nice picnic table and fence around it. It looked right into the game which we walked over to. It was so nice! They had games and it was nicely decorated with Christmas decorations. It looked so clean in there. The play area was nice for my son and we sat there on the bench and swings in the sun enjoying the afternoon. The bathrooms were clean too which was nice. I live not too far from here and I don't think we would need to stay but I would recommend it to anyone needing a stop in the area. Very well maintained and the trees give it a nice wooded feel. read more

very nice park , I was walking my dog when I seen a pitbull off the leash outside of rv , I also seen the guy on the golf cart pull up and asked if that was a pitbull dog he was not yelling at all just asked a simple question and the guy became very irate with him the person on the golf cart had no idea it was a service dog it had no vest on or no leash . they do have a leash law and I'm glad of it ! I guess it's his story he can say anything he wants just hope every one does not believe that. my camper was close to his and the water was just fine. no one got water in their camper, what you expect when you have a 100 year rain like that. maybe you should have stayed home? it is also not fair to all others that obey the law to have someone think the rules of dogs being on a leash does not apply to them. read more
