He was always available through calls and texts, and even sent me progress pictures. He is a far drive for me, but I will definitely be back to complete some other enhancements on my vehicle! I had shopped around and decided to go with him not only because he quoted me around $1000 less than other places, but also because he is known for his flawless paint matching and quality of work. When I went to pick up my vehicle, he mentioned that I can bring it back after 2 months or so and he would help me buff it out since the clear coat can start coming off since it needs to cure. So, I brought it back and he completely buffed out both panels he had worked on.

I reached out to him to find out what he would charge to fix my wheels because they cause vibrate at speeds over 60 mph. I reached out to a couple of other businesses to have this done, and their prices were much higher, and I had no prior experience with them therefore, I decided to go with the company that I have had previous experience. Initially, I was going to leave my car so that he could do both wheels the same day and pick up my car tomorrow but I think I'll have him do both and per our conversation he should have them ready tomorrow. I will edit this post tomorrow with the final result & a rating. You will see before and after pictures. GN3

The folks at Thunderbolt were great. I had taken the car to an auto repair shop, and they diagnosed…read morethe issue as a transmission problem. I brought the car to Thunderbolt, and they check out the transmission and found it was not the problem. They found the problem was a bad wheel bearing, which was recently. I took the car back to the shop who originally replaced the bearing and had it fixed under warranty. Thunderbolt was very accommodating, and while they could have replaced the wheel bearing, they agreed I should take it back to the shop who originally replaced it. Their honesty and good advice is refreshing. I recommend Thinderbolt, and I expect they will take care of you, as they took great care of me!

In reading all the bad reviews it seems like almost all of them have absolutely no clue how auto…read morerepair works. About three years ago, Thunderbolt rebuilt the original engine in my 1971 Chevy Vega and did a great job. The original quote was for the standard items in any rebuild and it was clearly stated that after the tear down the price could go up if it was discovered that more work was needed to be done. I understood this and only a ignoramus would not. My price did go up because more was needed but it was perfectly legit. I used to own a body shop and had the same issue. You make your best guess on what is needed with a visual inspection but after the tear down in almost all cases more damage was discovered. The insurance adjusters knew this but the idiot customer would push back, like they are here.
