So disappointed in this place! The oyster was so overdressed with 99% of parm cheese that you wouldn't even know that there was an oyster in there. The wings were so dry and overcooked that the meat retracted from the bones. The dog bites were okay I guess. The place feels like a concern if a fire broke out due to how close all the tables are to each other. And that part that hurts my heart the most is when I am put in the position of not leaving a good tip( I'm a great tipper 99% of the time) but when the server caters to the men at the table and not the women, that's where I save my extra money for the ones that are actually neutral to all at the table. When we come back we're definitely getting the gumbo, fries (reminds me of wingstop), red beans and rice, and the oysters rockefeller because they were all soooo good! I was staying at the motel next door so I wandered in. I'd been told they had the coldest beer in town. I'm not sure about coldest, but it was definitely cold. The service was courteous and efficient. I ordered the combo fried shrimp and fried oysters. The shrimp were great. The oysters were a bit overcooked. My sides were fries (never did get ketchup) and broccoli cheese casserole (very tasty). The price was fair and the atmosphere was, though a bit loud, pretty much what I expected. This sucked. I'm giving three stars ONLY because the service was fine and the beer was cold but these crawfish were gross. There was almost no juice in the heads and the ones that did have it were fishy and super gross. Someone told me they were better than the catch here so I tried it out. I usually eat 3-5 lbs and barely finished one here. Lots of smaller fish and overcooked so they just fell apart. Fishy. Yucky. Absolutely awful on almost every level. I had eaten here once before and it wasn't busy and the food was okay. One family member wanted to come here tonight for her birthday, so here we are. First, it took 30 minutes to even get a server to take the drink order. That was the good part. Once we got our drinks, we ordered. Approximately 1.5 hours later our food came. Now, to be fair, our table ordered some raw oysters, which I was told were good. The ready of our food was absolutely terrible. Everything overcooked. Fried clams where you could not even distinguish a clam like substance. Shrimp, overcooked. The hush puppies were even horrible. Overcooked and dry. We tried this place, had high hopes after reading about their reviews. It's more Bar than restaurant from first appearance. We both ordered apps. My oysters/shrimp was very disappointing as tiny oysters were cloudy and very gritty. Luckily the shrimp were large. Ocean wraps were very good and favorable. I had the Sunday Special of Shrimp & Cheese Grits very good. Also fried cod dinner with 2 generous size hush puppies. Sadly the salad that came with the entree wasn't served till the entree came some half hour after we ordered. For the price we've eaten better elsewhere. This is a great little local oyster joint. First, they have ice cold schooners of beer with about 12 different beers on tap. Second, they have oysters on the half shell for about a dollar apiece.
