I dined here almost seven years ago. I didn't have a fond memory of this place.. I noticed that had just undergone a remodel so, I wanted to give it another shot! I'm glad, I did. It was perfect. The Chicken Fajitas were somethered with onions. The ratio to Onions to Chicken was two handfuls of Onions to one sliced Chicken Breast? However, the Onions were carmalized. Charro Beans were delicious, very good portion size and hot in temperature. The rice included peas and carrots but was a bit underwhelming. I ordered an Horchata is was so delicious nice and sweet with lots of Ice. Well, I would definitely recommend this place. You should try it sometime. read more

Last night we went to celebrated my husband's birthday & what I ordered, while sounding yummy, really wasn't. I had the fajita enchiladas with chicken. The con carne was delicious as always but the cheese in the enchiladas was flat & solidified, not fresh melted. On top there was about 5-6 small pieces of chicken. Everything else was delicious. This is not what I normally ordered just wanted to try something different. I would have brought their attention to it normally but we were with other people plus I didn't want a problem to dampen the birthday vibe. Otherwise try it. It may just have been a bad night for them, which everyone has. I will also be giving it another chance, then decide. read more

Love their sopapillas and enchiladas. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Servers are always pleasant and the restaurant is never too busy with for me is a plus.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I also like getting to go orders. The only thing wrong with the Togo is that they offer bringing your food to your car window however when you call the number to let them know you arrived nobody answers and you do have to get off. It's not exactly in the very best part of Camp Bowie Boulevard and it's not exactly the most beautiful restaurant you'll see on the West side. But if you're in the mood for a great Mexican seafood, I don't think there is any place in the metroplex that does it any better. I usually order the whole fried tilapia, and it looks like about a 3 pound fish. It comes perfectly fried all the way through, head, tail, the whole fish! Serve with salad, fries, and absolutely delicious Mexican rice. I've been eating fish all my life, and I've never had a better tasting chunk of fish than this beautiful whole Mojarra! The Food was one of the best Tex-Mex meals since moving to this area. The presentation on the dishes were excellent as in a very expensive restaurant but there prices are very reasonable $. Their Service was quick and professional, helpful and tentative to our needs. Ambience is spacious with booths and if you prefer a table for two or more. They also have a bar area for a drink or two. I was impressed with their outdoor dining area. Everything is kept clean inside and outside Overall this establishment is a five star for me even though the surrounding area may not look pleasant. Tried this place for the first time. I think I'm going to become a regular. Super friendly staff. They bring free chips and salsa. Kept us happy. The pricing was expected for tacos. Under $11 for 5 tacos. They were good. Served with cilantro and chop onions. We also got the flaming cheese appetizer. Basically it's thick cheese ( I think it was mozzarella) with chorizo. They pour rum on top and light it to melt the cheese. It's done table side and served with flour tortillas. Super thick and heavy. Chew well. You will need 4 people to finish it. My husband and I could only finish half. This was $10. They have chicken strips on the kids menu which is perfect for my picky eaters. read more

We were starving so surprised and happy that it wasn't super busy when we arrived. Our waitress was very nice and seated us quickly with drink orders. It smelled bad like they have some sewer issues but you come across this sometimes so didn't deter us but never fun. Guacamole appetizer was so good. Salsa is not great but chips are perfect. We drove by Friday at happy hour and the place was packed! So, we came back later for dinner. There was nothing seriously wrong, but nothing was great either. The place is family owned and operated, so everything is casual. The wait staff had taken over a couple of tables right at the front to prep silverware rolls and fill containers. No one was concerned with slow service or the dirty floor. The queso we ordered was awful. There is no way it contained any dairy. It was the stadium nacho cheese but in a watered down version. This was the worst part of our visit. Both our fajitas and the enchiladas were tasteless. There was no spice or flavor in either. The salsa was bland as well. All of it was edible, but I would've liked something to give it a little spice. The staff were very friendly and polite. They were a bit slow, but didn't ignore us. This place is hidden treasure. They have a variety of Mexican food (tex mex dishes and Mexican seafood). This is my fourth time coming here and each time I've left very satisfied. I usually order Mexican seafood here. Their pescado empanisado (breaded whole fish) is awesome. Its huge with a side salad and fries. Very generous with their portions. The fish is not tiny or over cooked like other places that I've been to. Very juicy and meaty. With a side of house salad and dressing and fries. Their ceviche is awesome too. I was actually surprised that I had not written a review here before, as we have been coming here for at least 7-8 years. It feels like our youngest has grown up coming here, and I think it was the first place we ever went where she sat in a highchair by herself. This is really our favorite Mexican restaurant, especially when we are not looking for one of the chains in the area. The food is authentic and good. I especially like the options of brunch on most days through the mid-afternoon. We usually go for lunch, and the lunch menu has enough options to fit most people. The chips and salsa are good, and, when I feel like splurging, I do like to get something from their seafood menu. That is the one surprise, I think, is that they do have a good selection of seafood dishes, and all are quite good. They have been putting some money into the place in the last couple of years, updating the decor, bathrooms, and adding a porch area. There aren't many days around here that seem good for porch sitting, but I'm sure it is a draw for some. read more

Eh. Went there for the first & last time. Mediocre Mexican food that was overpriced. Tasted like there wasn't any seasoning on any of the three plates my table ordered. Queso should not look transparent or taste like tap water. The rice taste like it was just cooked in just tap water and tomato sauce only. No seasoning.The cast iron skillet that the fajitas came in was bone dry as well. Good fajitas should have residue on the bottom of the skillet from all the onions being cooked and caramelized, to include seasoning. read more
