Chris told me to be here today at 1 o'clock today on April 26 2016 To do a $300 tattoo Chris told me he was going to draw it out and have it ready at 1pm sharp today and did not have anything ready at all ! Trey is an amazing artist! His work is amazing. He did a water lily with an existing back piece for me. Then my bff got a half sleeve done and it was water color type tattoo piece and he did excellent!!! Wow....love him. I need more done now that I think about it. They don't have discounted piercings on Mondays and Saturdays like another review on here says. They only accept cash which is ridiculous in 2015. They didn't have anyone at the front desk, so I ended up shouting to an employee across the main room about what I wanted. He also seemed rude and like he didn't care about helping me at all. There's no where else I'd ever go! I knew I wanted a phoenix to cover my entire lower back and had a few rough ideas. I absolutely loved the drawing Scott came up with! Not only did it cover up an old tattoo but a back surgery scar as well! Loved the shop as well! Very clean, professional and great vibe. Scott does have a private room which was great for me because I'm more chill and don't need the distraction of a bunch of people or super loud music..plus I knew for sure he was concentrating on his work :) I would highly recommend Scott and Lone Star Tattoo. Awesome piercing experience with Matt at this shop. My sister had a big birthday and wanted to get her ears pierced. She was nervous as she had had them pierced before and they got infected and closed up. Error of going to a mall or Claire's. This time around we went to Matt. He was amazing. Helped her pick out the jewelry and cracked jokes to make her laugh and relax. Granted this was a simple piercing but Matt really cares. Gives you his card and info if you have any questions. I got my tongue piercing done here and it was an awful experience and it is a pretty badly done piercing. The girl who did the piercing, Jen, was visibly annoyed by the fact that she had to do the job and started off by telling me to sit, rinse, spit, and stick my tongue out. She very vaguely and quickly explained what was going to happen and then just kind of did it. She spent maybe three seconds on placement and did not use a clamp so now I have a crooked piercing that sits too far back on my tongue. After she got the bar through, her hands were shaking so bad that it she could hardly get the top ball on. The entire thing took about five minutes from start to finish which I hope shows just how much she rushed and did not at all care about how it turned out. This cost me too much money and pain to be done so poorly. read more

So I found these guys on Yelp a week after I had gotten my conch pierced and it was very swollen and the jewelry was growing into my ear. I went in there and Matt totally was able to help me. He removed the old piercing, tried to put a new one in, but due to the damage from the previous jewelry, could not. So instead he removed it, told me to clean in, and come back in a week and he would re-do it. And Matt honestly did a really good job on minimizing the pain, informing me of what was going on, and gave me a lollypop afterwards. ;) definitely will return for all future piercings!!! read more

Found this shop thru a friend.It was my first tattoo.So I was nervous and skeptical.The shop was very clean and enjoyed the artwork of many types. Upon meeting Scott,he instantly put me at ease.We spoke of what I was looking for.I gave him a picture.He took some measurements and set a time and a price for the tattoo.When I showed for my time he asked if I would mind to make it bigger.He felt it would look better.And at the same agreed price.He later told me he would have charged more for a larger tart but it wad his idea.I am so glad I agreed.My finished tattoo is amazing.I have had people tell me"I don't like tattoos but I like that one"I have since had several others tattoos and piercing from these guys.They are my go to shop.Please check them out! The experience was super nice and I was able to get my ears pierced very quickly. I had to pay $35 for each piercing and they used a needle to do it. I got three done in totally and the chick who did them walked me through exactly what she would do. Everything was sterilzed and came from bags which reassured me of their high standards.They accept walk ins for piercings but I would still call ahead just incase. I will definitely go back to get more piercings done. read more

This place sucks the only reason I have gone here is it's the closest to my house and it's the first place I ever went. However the people are rude regardless of who you are, how many tattoos you have, and how much experience you have. Every time I go in there they always act so superior. I am covered in tattoos.. knuckles, arms, feet, legs, neck.. everywhere and they still are extremely rude and act like I have no idea whats going on when I do. I got my belly button pierced here a longgggg time ago it was my first piercing ever and although it was done good they didn't talk to me, didn't try to make me feel comfortable, just did it and that was that. I came back afterwards cause I live in Plano and it's the closest shop to me. I got my tongue pierced for the first time here. Again it was done good but they acted like they had no care in the world about me. That all happened though when I barely had anything. As I got more done I came back here a couple times as well as ventured out to try out other places. I came back one 420 to get a pot leaf tattoo lol cause I'm a huge stoner. I don't remember anyone's name.. I wish I did. But the guy who did my tattoo that day did a really good job with me not paying him much. I really liked his work, but in the middle of the tattoo we started talking about weed and he told me he didn't even know it was 4/20 I'm sorry but what tattoo artist do you know that doesn't smoke weed.. I also got my lip piercing taken out here it was my first time with a lip ring and my parents wanted me to take it out since it was Christmas and family was coming. I went there and the guy who helped take the piercing out again I wish I could remember the name was one of the nicest people there. He didn't make me feel stupid for needing help. I went there last night to have my daith pierced because I've been experiencing frequent and annoying headaches. Matt was amazing! He walked me thru each step as he was doing the piercing so there were no surprises and made me feel totally calm. The best part? The piercing actually worked for me! The shop is very clean and well put together aesthetically, but the staff is a bit snobby. I went here because I've known quite a few people who have gotten beautiful artwork done here under Scott, but he's not always there. My problem was with the rest of the staff and how my experience went. The artist who was working on me had big gauges and a snap back hat on-- and he kept talking loud across the room to another guy, and because I couldn't see him in the position I was in I kept thinking he might be trying to talk to me-- but he wasn't and I found it a little bit rude to yell across the shop while he was tattooing right behind my ear over and over again. Also his tattoo gun kept going in and out--- and you could tell he was frustrated-- and because of it he was pushing too hard on my neck and had a very heavy hand. I feel bad for him in the situation, but I believe a different artist should have worked on me because of the situation. I don't think he should have continued with my tattoo with a shotty tattoo gun-- especially because he was upset about it and I was feeling the recoil of that. I would probably never go back here, the price isn't that great and with the staff having attitudes it's not really worth it in my opinion. To each his own but since then I've heard that a lot of other people have had similar experiences. I would recommend the tattoo shop off of Coit and MacCallum right next to AutoZone! I went there after I had this bad experience at LoneStar and they did a great job and the staff is very friendly. Manny is great there, and you should try him instead honestly. read more

This particular customer- 'E.H 'came in a couple Fridays ago. One of the artists- Justin, was taking time out of his day discuss ideas for one of the many drawings he would be working on for future appointments with her. Artists generally take deposits for drawings they are working on for custom tattoo work so they don't waste their time & energy creating a unique design for each client in case, I don't know, the customer decides to blow them off last minute or something. Crazy right?! "Here's all my ideas. Now draw exactly what I want so I can stand you up while you lose money turning other potential clients away to work on me and my stuff". In this case after a deposit was left and it was the day of the appointment, Justin came in to the shop 2 hours before it opened to finish and perfect his artwork. Hours later Justin starts setting his station up for this woman. She calls FIFTEEN minutes before the appointment time to say shes not coming because she isn't feeling well. By this time Justin has lost about $200 worth of walk in tattoos because he was under the impression he would be too busy to fit them in. Now I understand that sometimes things come up and rescheduling is occasionally unavoidable but even most doctors will charge a fee for not giving ample notice for cancelation of appointments. Unless this client came down with some insane African voodoo diarrhea or got a spontaneous out of control genital warts outbreak- that just happened to hit 10 to 15 minutes before her appointment- I'd say she was being pretty damn inconsiderate. Speaking of inconsiderate, I, as the piercer she's referring to would like to address the " 30 minute wait" she's complaining about. All those "people sitting around" were not piercers. They are artist. I did have other clients and it takes time to sterilize surgical trays and tables in between people I pierce. The reason I do it properly is because I am not "lackadaisical" (and I don't believe you waited 30 minutes. That long of a wait time is highly rare.) If you did, I'm oh so sorry I didn't put others health at risk so you could get exactly what you wanted at the exact minute you wanted it. Also if you were so uncomfortable with the environment I'm a little confused as to why you were literally flashing around almost a thousand dollars in cash in the middle of the shop after your discussion with Justin... Removed it from your wallet and waved it back in forth like like some flag that reads "super duper self involved ass". So I guess at the end of the day you can't please every over demanding customer but luckily for us is this ain't McDonalds... So please, take your review and opinion, fold it up nicely, and shove it straight up your ass once you step down off your high horse. Thanks!
