The competitive Dance Academy was VERY disorganized with internal fighting amongst teachers and drama with students. Coaches are uncommunicative and do not give constructive criticism to help dancers grow. It's all very base level for skills and there is rampant favoritism. We stuck it out for 2 years but we have moved on and sooo thankful that we did. Dance is fun again!! Also children with medical conditions (letters from doctors submitted) are treated as if they don't have loyalty to the program if they have to miss for said medical conditions that were known to all from the beginning. My kids are on their dance competition team, and after 1 email this season of the price hikes we get a survey for another price increase. This is while last season we were practicing in the gym, hallways, library and those small rooms ment for birthday parties and art classes because of their lack of rooms taken by classes and church set ups. Appalling Management Absolutely baffled by the current manager at the Lone Tree Recreation Center. My family and I have been attending regularly for years, and never have I had such an awful experience. I was in the weight room trying to work out while 5 children (4 clearly under the minimum age requirement of 14 years old) were in the weight room messing around like it was a jungle gym and utilizing equipment improperly. Not only is this an extremely dangerous situation, it is posted on the wall that no one under 14 is permitted in the weight room. I went to the front desk to talk to who I am assuming was a manager. I didn't get his name, but he had red hair that was balding and red facial hair. I'm guessing he was in his late 40's. I notified him that there were 5 clearly underage children in the weight room that were playing with equipment and messing around, and he did not care at all. He told me "Oh yeah, well I know them and they are regulars here. I can't tell someone who is 30 doing the same thing to leave, so I can't do anything." I then politely reminded him that the sign in the weight room says no one under 14 years old is allowed in the weight room and that the children were CLEARLY underage and had no adult supervising them. This manager then proceeded to tell me in a condescending fashion that the only kind of thing that concern him are "loud noises in the gym" that "sound like injuries happening." Wow. Good to know that children or other patrons in the gym are only a concern to you AFTER something bad happens. Absolutely ridiculous and appalling behavior, especially from a manager. read more

This place has really gone down hill. I have been a lone tree resident for 10+ years and everything in here is just outdated but the worst part is that the place is clearly never cleaned and that's disgusting! How can a gym not be cleaned daily when it's getting hundreds of users daily?! read more

Things have just gotten worse since my last review. They have gotten rid of all of the aqua classes but two. They told us we were allowed to use the lanes for exercise but we are not. They allow the "lap swimmers" to take the lanes. We are told to move and all crowd into one lane when a lap swimmer comes. Today a lap swimmer came and was rude to EVERYONE. Splashing old women, talking explicitly, threatening to hurt people. The lifeguards sat and watched the whole thing and did nothing. They whistle and yell at us constantly but when someone actually becomes hostile and violent they do nothing. I asked to speak to a manager and was brushed off and given an out of service number. I will be back promptly at 1:00 when the manger is in to talk about why other people are allowed precedent and privilege over others. Everyone in the class was asking this woman to please leave and she kept yelling "I have four more minutes" after the lap lanes had been pulled. She continued to purposely swim into people until the whole class yelled at her to leave. I pay my $40 a month just like everyone else. How can you drop the people who have been going here for years over people like that? Also the pool and locker rooms are always filthy and the people working the front desk are rude and purposely give out misinformation. read more

I went back to LT Rec center fir the first time in about 12 Months. I was impressed with the spacing of the equipment and things looked fresh and clean. They even had a person walking around wiping down workout equipment (weights and machines) with sanitation solution. I really appreciate that and will definitely be back for more workouts. read more

I love it here. It's clean, upscale equipment and everyone is so friendly. They even took the time to learn my name and always says hi. And it's never too crowded. Love it!!! read more

Too expensive for what you get. Its certainly decent, but the weight area is packed in almost as an afterthought. It seems there is a ton of wasted space. At $800 a year for a family, I would expect more (which is why we only occasionally do day passes). This place is worth more along the lines of $400 a year for a family. Fun indoor pool area. The pool is graded so it's as if you were walking on the shore of the beach. The pool does not go any more than 4 feet at the deepest parts. The kids' area goes to 3ft. deep. There is one big slide for kids and adults as well as one small slide for smaller kids. There is a lazy river that will take you round and round in a circular current which is fun. You can try to go against the current for a workout. There are 2 lap lanes. This place is like a water park where there are a lot of fountains and spouts for kids to play in. They keep the temperature of the pool and the building nice and warm so even during the cold Christmas holidays, swimming here is pleasant. Both my young boys had a lot of fun. There are women's, men's, and family changing areas. Bring a padlock if you want some security for your items if you use a locker. There were signs posted for some thefts, though we never experienced that. Overall, the place is great. My kids and myself had a great time. read more

I was super impressed with this facility! Very clean and extremely nice staff. I dropped in for a quick work-out and they allowed me to buy a punch card. No contract, no credit check, just a little cash and I was up and running. They have a couple basketball courts, indoor pool with a lazy river, misc work-out eqipment and a nice family atmosphere. The hot-tub was huge and the lazy river wasn't so lazy... Better be a good swimmer to get out of the lazy river. It's more like a raging river. some of the kids were flailing around and tunbling along like a rag-doll. Actually quite fun! read more

Terrible customer service. There are a number of private gyms in the area that care about their customers and treat them well. The staff was extremely rude, disrespectful, and made a mistake to which they did not own up, but instead bullied our family. I will never choose to come back there, our money will be spent elsewhere. read more

Really disappointed! They need to hire more lifeguards! Took my daughter and some friends to swim today just to get there and be told it would be an hour wait because the pool was at capacity, never seen this happen before! The pool wasn't that full, we've been there when it was busier, but only two lifeguards on duty - on a holiday! Management should have planned better! read more

A nice facility with friendly staff. You can get a resident card and receive a discount. We use the facility a few times per week and are very pleased. The only issue we ever had here was in the past sometimes the system they used at the front desk, didn't have the right codes when you would try to pay for a class. Or they would charge you the non resident rate when you had a resident card. Seems like they've fixed the issue though. Definitely recommend the facility and the classes/programs here. read more

I was at a birthday pool party there this weekend, where the only lifeguard on duty was a 13 year old kid who almost let a four year old drown. The lifeguard was literally standing right above the child as the child panicked and began to bob up and down. Luckily the child's mother was paying attention and ran in at full speed while fully clothed and with her phone in her pocket. The most disturbing thing was the fact there was not a single employee in the rec center over the age of 20, and no manager to speak of and none on duty and none could be bothered with coming into work and discussing an issue of having minors as lifeguards when they don't even have hair on their chests. read more

Good place to play indoor basketball when they have it open for the public. Only $7.25 for a non resident fee which you can use to goto the pool or work out on the weights also. Very nice indoor basketball court which gets you out of the elements here in CO! read more

Don't come here if your serious about exercising in the swim lanes. Business operation states open until 10pm. They close the pool area at erratic times to suit their needs not the customer. Today they closed 1 hour and 15 mins early. The life guards don't regulate swim lanes for proper use. Parents and their kids go into swim lanes while your swimming and you crash into them. Disappointing! I'm handicap and this is the only exercise I'm capable of doing. read more

This is a very nice, clean rec center. They have all of the standard exercise equipment, basketball courts, racquetball, etc. The indoor pool is very nice. The kids absolutely love the slide, lazy river, and water features to play in. The pool area does get loud on the weekends and in the summer (dozens of screaming kids) so I would never go to lap swim, or attempt to relax in the hot tub during these times. read more

I TRULY LOVE THIS PLACE! I go here for the pool only so I'm can't really comment about anything else. First it has the nicest family changing/locker room/shower area I've ever seen. The women's restroom area is pretty clean too. Can't say anything about the men's restroom. Then, the pool has a pretty big and deep (on one side) area where you can do laps and or shoot hoops for the older kids. Then, there is the twisty water slide that is about 2 1/2 stories high. Then, there is the lazy river/whirlpool area where kids can float and let the jets push them around or race around it like mine do. Then there is a tiny rubberized slide that empties into about ankle deep water for the little kids and the spray garden area in the even shallower pool area. Which, brings me to my favorite part, the HUGE hot tub. Where you can sit and relax while your kids swim. They have lifeguards on duty all of the time that are pretty diligent. I also like that you can bring in food/coolers/whatever. They also have adult swim times at the hour, of every hour so if you want to do laps without being splashed, you can. Also, a lot of kids get out and go to the bathroom at this time, which is pretty nice considering where they would be going if not out of the pool, lol. They do have dippin' dots and some drinks for sale-pretty expensive and a few vending machines available, but I would reccomend packing a cooler as it can get pretty expensive. Also, they offer passes in the Summer months that for people like me who are a non-resident of Lone Tree, I really appreciate the discount I get when purchasing them since we swim here so much. Two negative things I will say about this place- they have a rule that kids ages 7-12 can be in the hot-tub only with a parent. That is a good rule. My daughter is pretty tiny and even now, at 10, she can probably pass for a 7-8 year old. One of the teenage girls who was working as a lifeguard yelled at my daughter to get out of the hottub with me standing right next to her. My daughter so scared, she was in tears. and no my daughter wasn't being crazy or wild or splashing anyone. Just sitting there. Anyway, I think this one crazy teenager doesn't represent this place. The other problem is that if you don't get there right when they open, you don't get a seat or a table. They need more chairs, period. this isn't the sort of place you can just lay down a towel and have a seat. It's concrete and it's wet. read more

I was excited to find a indoor pool to take my daughter swimming with zero entry, however after 30 min we left. It is 58° outside today and it was colder inside than outside. We went around 10:00 am and the water was freezing. I was extremely cold, and my daughters hands& feet & lips purple. We exited the pool and went to go to the family room. All were full with large women that thought it was ok to use the "family rooms" this is the only place/rooms that have diaper changes. Im.not choosing to use these room, I need to use them, I had to wait on a room in the very cold locker room area. No one was rude, but they were not nice either. The first room we changed in to get in pool had diaper changer and it had no straps, the second room we changed in to leave also had no straps, this is simple maintainence issue and needs repairing. over all I expected so much more and for the prices that they are changing we will not be back...very disappointed read more
