I had a 6 month period of shoulder pain, when I moved to westchester which Iead me to hire Len. I was able to avoid steroid injections thanks to him and was pain free in 3 months. I've now been training with him 4 years. I'm older and have serious joint and lower back issues. Len knows how to modify exercises which are still very effective. I'm in my 50s, Very Toned and Fit. I would not be in such great shape with my joint issues if it wasn't for Len.

I was looking for personal training that is truly personal and tailored to me and my needs, and that's what I'm getting. I'm not running a marathon any time soon, nor will I be in any fitness competitions - I am just a dad who wants to be in shape and feel good. At Push, they work together with me to set realistic goals and I'm starting, after a little over a month now, to achieve those goals. Parking is easy and free. Membership prices are reasonable. The atmosphere is friendly and non-competitive. Signing up for classes online is easy.

Less than an hour before I had to be there, I got a text saying…read moremy reservation wasn't confirmed and I needed to call immediately or I'd be unable to take the class even if I showed up. I couldn't call in time, as I was on a different call, so per their own instructions, I didn't go. That afternoon I was charged $30, a full drop-in rate, for a "no-show," despite never having a completed reservation and not being able to join class, according to their text. When I reached out to them asking for a refund, I got the same scripted response twice, from two different reps, without acknowledgment of the contradiction that I was paying for a class I was never signed up for. I also asked them to delete my credit card information from their system, and they didn't acknowledge or confirm it. They charged me for missing a class they told me I couldn't attend, and can't be bothered to confirm my card info is even out of their system, which is concerning and raises real questions about how they operate their business. I've since gone to F45 nearby, and the difference is night and day. They've been attentive, transparent, and genuinely great every step of the way. I'd suggest looking into them or other options nearby.

Classes are offered primarily in the late afternoon/evening with a couple on M & W at 6AM thrown in there to satisfy the early risers. Owner is friendly but tough in a good way - he knows the fine line between when you are struggling and need a lighter weight to do the move properly and when you are just being lazy. WoD's have been challenging but doable - the two Ive done so far have been 20 and 30 min each so between that and a warm up/cool down you get in your hour of exercise. I have never been as sore as I was after my first class and can already tell after todays class I am in for another round of soreness. I don't mind too much and I know I'm getting a good workout. People have been friendly and I felt welcome right away. There are modifications (ring rows instead of pull ups, sit ups instead of toe to bars etc) for newbies/beginners so you are always able to participate. Our WoD today had a group challenge for the last round and despite my best round my team lost and our punishment was 20 burpees for each rep we lost by - or 44 burpees for the 5 of us since we lost by 11 reps to equal 220 burpees total. Love the team atmosphere and ability to track your progress and see improvement. Now, here is where I am torn, like most Crossfit gyms is not cheap. There is definitely value in the small group training atmosphere and coach's attention though. It's $180/mo unlimited or $130/mo for 2x week classes. I could see myself doing the foundation program and getting a 10 class pass or something if they had that to go once every week or two and then just doing my own 'work in the Equinox studio when there were no classes going on.
