When the Predator Became the Prey -- This Was the Lone Wolf They Didn't Count On. A wolf in sheep clothing!!! "This whole experience felt like playing against the dude who gets shot, wipes, and yells 'Didn't break!' I'm not mad -- just calling it out for what it is. Maybe this review is the headshot he didn't see coming." I spent over $1,000 with Lone Wolf Paintball and was banned from the site after exercising my right to request a refund under Maryland consumer law. I purchased a limited edition mask for $317 that looked drastically different than advertised. I was told to immediately purchase a second one (another $317) to secure the replacement while the first was in transit. When I returned the original, they issued store credit instead of the refund they had promised. It took three emails and a direct reference to their own words before they issued the refund. The second mask didn't fit, so I returned it and expected store credit, which was fine at the time. Rather than wait, I made a $400+ purchase for a Dye Box Rotor, thinking I'd spend the credit later. Boy, do I regert that--regret that. The illusion of inventory on their website is strong, but most products are actually out of stock once you click through. The few that are available are mostly fringe sizes or outdated gear. It became clear to me this system is designed to funnel customers into store credit and push slow-moving inventory. When I pushed back and referenced both Maryland and FTC law regarding refund disclosures and deceptive e-commerce practices, they refunded me, locked my account, voided my $20 store credit, and stated in writing they were "not admitting fault." I followed their policies, made clean returns, spent real money--and got banned for asking questions. "With that being said, we have determined, without admitting any type of fault, that it is in the best interest of all parties involved to process a full refund... and then we will close your account so no future orders can be placed." They refunded me. They banned me. They locked my account. Then they took the $20 store credit I had earned from the Dye Box Rotor purchase $430 W/TAX-- a valid order. Bottom line? I followed all the rules. I spent real money. I returned everything in perfect shape. One unopened, one touched for under 5 mins. And I got banned because I stood up and asked for fairness. This wasn't about being picky -- it was about being played. not this wolf no sir. And to Lone Wolf Paintball? You can keep the $20 apparently your actions prove you need it. badly. Best place to experience paintball in Michigan hands down. Great knowledgeable and friendly staff. The prices in my opinion are cheaper than most paintball fields around. If it's your first time or you're a season vet Lone Wolf has everything you will need to go out on the field and have a great time. read more

I really wanted to give this store a 5 star rating because I watched a lot of their youtube videos online. The guys on the video seem nice so I decided to buy two empire axe 2.0 entry level package. After I received both of the markers I decided to return both of them and get the shocker amp. So I shipped the two axe 2.0 back to the store. When the store received the axe I got a call back. The lady I spoke to said they will give me a store credit of $966.90. She said because they have to clean both of the markers, restocking fee & shipping fees. So I said that was fine. When I went to go and purchase the Shocker Amp my total was $969.70. So the difference was $2.80 I decided to call back the lady that I spoke to previously and asked her if she could make my credit $969.70 that way I didn't have to pay anything out of pocket. She said No when I asked her if I could talk to the manager she said she was the manager. This lady couldn't give me the xtra $2.80 after I spent around $1300 on their store. I have three boys plus myself I was planning on buying three more markers from the store but after that experience I do not want to do anymore business with Lone Wolf. read more

I just had my son's birthday party here and it was very disappointing. The party ran from 3-530pm and we were told to arrive at 230 for preparation. The kids did not have their first match until 330 and then had to wait an excessive amount of time to play again. There had to be 4-5 other groups there at the same time as us. In short, the kids played 6 rounds total and weren't allowed to play a final round, even though they were armed and ready, because Lone Wolf needed the party area and we still hadn't had cake. Also they up sold us on the paint ball rounds from 200 to 500, saying we will easily use them all. Well, we have 2 boxes of paint balls left. It seems that Lone Wolf just wants to get as many paying customers in to play at the expense of special events. The kids enjoyed the time they played, but were sad they couldn't play more. read more

I have had the privilege of play at many of the Lone Wolf fields and stores over my 17 years of playing paintball recreationally and competitively (speedball & tournaments). Actually the first time, I played paintball. It was at the Lone Wolf outdoor field at the Gibraltar Trade Center . Back in fall of 1998 with some friends. Been hooked ever since. Lone Wolf is one of the most professional places around. The staff takes safely very seriously (and they should;!its important). Games move fairly fast if not faster than most fields I have played in Michigan. Store has most of the new and hottest gear in the industry. They also have most of any of the basics that are needed. read more

This is one of the nicer indoor paintball facilities in the area, but there are major issues with it. At the tournament this last weekend, there were some balls that made it through the netting. This is a major problem considering the amount of people exposed. I brought this issue up to the staff, and their answer was "yep it happens". Also, if you are considering playing in one of their tournaments, don't. Unless you like terrible ref calls that are always in the home teams favor. Blatantly obvious calls that were in the home teams favor, even after the match was over. Needless to say, I won't be playing here again. read more

I want to preface this by saying IF YOU PLAN ON GOING WITH A PARTY TO RENT GUNS AND HAVE FUN, THIS PLACE IS GREAT. However, if you are a more serious player that has spent money on your gear, then maybe find another place. I recently went to the indoor field to play. What i can say is the field was clean, and the staff was friendly. The indoor field was an air ball field,but was smaller than regulation, creating problems when there are more than 5 people on a team as there is not enough cover for everyone. My main issue was the paint. Lone wolf requires that the only paint permitted to be used is the paint that is sold by Lone Wolf. Some fields do this, and in and of itself is a fine idea. The problem was that the paint that i was forced to purchase was horrible. Between the paint having sat for too long along with being kept in the heat, many of the paintballs were FLAT on one side. Do you think a paintball with a flat bottom is something i want to put into my $1300 paintball gun? obviously not. They will either break in the gun,or come out shooting all over the place. It is ridiculous that i paid 50 dollars to use that trash. It shows a complete lack of quality control by Lone Wolf which is also a complete lack of respect for the customer. it was a complete waste of money, and i am pretty annoyed to the point i will probably not come back.
