This are the drums that they supposedly changed.
    Yadira A.

Took my car a few weeks ago for back breaks replacement. According to the owner i believe his name is John he called me to say i needed new drums. I agreed for him to fix whatever i needed. According to them they put new drum and break. Well my car continue having a noise. I took my car again for the noise and to replace my breaks again but he said it was the axel and something else. I took it to another shop and there they showed me that my breaks and drums where never replaced and i got charged for something that was not done. The mechanic went to this shop to tell them to don't do this things to people. Specially us woman that don't know anything about cars. The Owner John was very unprofessional and threatened him with his dog. He was very disrespectful towards my mechanic calling him a dirty mechanic. I wish i can show the pictures of my car to show everyone how this shop works.

They make you feel like family, and they are honest. Honesty is so hard to find too. Ask for John because he is just a sweetie.

Not sure I agree, but I want a good shop that I can trust. So far, I have a bill of just under $2000. I truly hope the work is consistent with the price. Customer service is very fair. I would just say get pricing up front and make sure you know the prices from a dealer if going to get work on foreign cars. One acknowledgement is their desire to make sure I understood the charges and to follow through with showing me what they repaired. I appreciated the questions and the customer service. The price was still a little high but it was done and a warranty was included.

I hate having to write this review, but I feel I have no choice…read more I've been bringing my vehicles to Joe's Auto for years. I've trusted them with my family's cars, my previous vehicle, and most recently my Nissan. When my check engine light came on, there was no question where I would take it. After diagnosing the vehicle, I received a call from one of the newer staff members informing me that I needed a spark plug kit and a fuel injector, with an estimated cost of around $1,200. I declined the fuel injector repair, yet still paid over $1,100 for the work that was completed. Unfortunately, about a week later, the check engine light came back on. I brought the vehicle back, but I never received a clear explanation as to why the light had returned. I left believing the issue had been resolved. Then, on June 17, the check engine light came on again. I immediately called Joe's Auto. Instead of asking me to bring the vehicle in right away, I was told to bring it in the following day. After spending over $1,100 on repairs that apparently did not fix the problem, I expected a greater sense of urgency and concern. Because I no longer felt confident that the issue was being taken seriously, I took my vehicle to the dealership and paid additional money to have the problem addressed. I called Joe's Auto to let them know what had happened, but the response was disappointing. The only explanation I received was that the parts were under warranty and that I should have brought the vehicle back in. I understand that parts can be under warranty, but after multiple visits and the same problem continuing to occur, I expected some level of accountability, concern, or even an offer to work with me toward a resolution. Instead, I felt dismissed. I've been a loyal customer for years, which makes this experience even more disappointing. Unfortunately, based on how this situation was handled, I will not be returning.

I was charged $150 for a routine oil change--nearly double what I've paid in the past--and a tire rotation was not done. I was also told my rear tires were bad and needed replacement, but they were later checked by a trustworthy person and confirmed to be in very good condition. The honesty and trustworthiness that defined this place are gone. Based on this experience, I won't be returning.

They responded quickly, were courteous, and didn't try to tack on a diagnostic fee just to take a look. When I dropped off the car, the technician walked me through their process, starting with the bulbs before moving into any potential electrical issues (which I really appreciated.) It ended up being the simplest fix: both bulbs were burned out. They had everything replaced within a few hours. Fair pricing, clear communication, and no upselling. I'll definitely be back for future repairs. Side note- they have the cutest shop kitten. ‍

They said they could and gave me a timeline for working on the vehicle that matched my needs. While I appreciate them getting me in on short notice, they consistently over-promised and under-delivered on when they would be able to work on my vehicle. They were able to diagnose a couple of leaks that they thought were the problem and sent me photos to show me what they were looking at. In the past when I've left my car at this shop for work they sent over a detailed estimate before starting the work, but this time I only received the verbal estimate over the phone. I drive an old car, which isn't worth much, and I did let the person know that I wasn't interested in investing more in repairs than the vehicle is worth. As it was, the two leaks were just over $1K to fix, and I OK'd the work to begin. After fixing the first two leaks, they then came back and told me there was a third leak, which would require a more major repair to the transmission and they would have to have their transmission person (who wasn't there that weekend) send me an estimate the next day. While I understand that it's plausible that the third leak wasn't something they could have originally diagnosed, it felt a bit weird that the photo they used to show me the leak was one of the original photos they had sent before starting any work. If the leak was visible in that photo, I'm unclear why they couldn't have diagnosed it earlier. The added cost of this additional repair definitely tips the scales of worth-it/not-worth-it to repair vs replace this car, so I wish I had had all the information before deciding to make the initial repairs. Unfortunately, despite stabilizing the ATF level, fixing the leaks did not resolve the transmission issue. On a smaller scale, they didn't check or top up the tire pressure, which most mechanics I've gone to have done as a courtesy when working on my vehicle. The day after I picked up my car the tire pressure light went on, and when I checked my tires all four of them had low pressure. It's a small thing, but especially when dealing with expensive mechanical items like cars, the small things matter a lot in creating a sense of security and trust with your mechanic. They did mention that they were under new management since the last time I had been in, which may account for the different experiences.
