We were in the right place (inside Carolina Beach State Park, at a tent near marina) and early. We confirmed with other workers within the park that this was the correct location for Wilmington Jet Ski Rentals. There's no one at the tent. About 10 minutes after we should have been on the jet ski, and after calling the company multiple times without any response, we get a vague text about how there's been some kind of "issue". They told us someone would be there in about 10-15 min so we said okay and waited....BUT THEY NEVER SHOWED UP! After waiting that extra time, we got another text that asked us if we wanted a full refund or to come back hours later to try again?!? Still no transparency about what the issue was. Did someone die?!? Is a jet ski on the bottom of the ocean?!? Did the workers pass out drunk? Wtf? We still don't know! We did get our refund but yikes, terrible customer service and no transparency. Just tell me some dude OD'd in his pickup truck or crashed a jet ski into a bridge and broke his femur...SOMETHING! We would have come back later or the next day if we had any confidence we would actually get on the jet ski! Never this company again. Bad look for the state park, too.

They set us up in the same prime spot every day super early and broke it down at the end of the day. We didn't have to think about a thing. Also! It was a particularly windy week and we never felt like our setup was going to blow away. It was super sturdy and secure! The owner made sure to check on us and see if we needed anything the whole week as well. I would absolutely use their company again and it truly is a game changer for the whole beach experience.

The quaint little town really has a beauty of a park here. The birds hang out here and people often feed them. The swings are a nice plus to the park. There is a pavilion and ample free parking. The pier is nice to walk out on and during low tide you can even walk on the sand. The beautiful trees and old houses make it even more breathtaking.
