I'll admit, I was pessimistic because I''m a judgey witch who doubts gyms that aren't in Manhattan. It was a mat style class, so no barre, but the darker room and lighter impact was much needed. Elliott was supportive & gave great corrections. And Olivia at the front desk was very welcoming, something not all Brooklyn gyms get right. It was up to par with the physique 57 classes I've taken in NYC and I hope to add at least Sundays to my routine. The facilities are also very clean. I'd like to try more classes here but it's a bit of a trek from my house. If you're thinking of trying them out, I bought a "buy one get one free" special on their website that I think is a great value for a newcomer, or old client of physique 57.

What an AWFUL experience…read more... Was excited to get back into yoga and was looking forward to sharing this experience with a friend. The good- people taking the class all seem very nice. The instructor knowledgeable in palates. The bad - studio smell like sweat that has not been cleaned up in ... ever. - the studio owner is unprofessional and rude and there is nothing "namaste" about her demeanor. - the instructor seems threatened and terrified of her boss (the owner) to the point of creating a false narrative Will not be returning. If you are okay with disrespectful behavior and just taking class by disconnecting with the rest of the world- this is a place for you. Disclaimer - I am a health professional with 30+ years of dance teaching experience. When your hot yoga studio forbids you from leaving the room during class, even if you felt unwell, it raises concerns about safety. To add insult to injury when the studio owner proceeds to yell at you, questions you says that by leaving the class was disrupted, and insults - that's speaks volumes about the culture of the practice. If I didn't leave, the class would have been even more disrupted with the instructor unable to teach at all because they would need to take care of the student instead of teaching, Furthermore, when the owner accuses the client that because of the client the owner could not complete their scheduled personal important appointment- that demonstrates concern for the owner's mental state. There are safety risks involved with hot yoga and it is the responsibility of the instructor and the student to ensure safety. Listening to your body is paramount: Regardless of studio policy, your well-being should be the priority. If you feel dizzy, lightheaded, nauseous, or experience any other signs of heat intolerance or illness during a hot yoga class, it's essential to take a break or leave the room. Same with dance -pushing through injury is highly discouraged as it may cause further injury. People are paying for the class, this is not a prison. No one comes to class looking to disobey.

The instructors (all of them ) have been kind and helpful but still making me work and use what I can to the fullest . The front desk has also been very helpful and friendly , I really have had no bad experiences at all .I truly enjoy my time there .

Took the TRX & Stretch class…read more It was a small class of 6 people. We were split up into 2 groups. Half used the TRX Machine, half did bodyweight exercises, constantly switching throughout the class. The instructor was friendly as soon as I walked in, but the class was a little confusing. Because we kept switching groups, it was hard to remember what the bodyweight group exercise was when we were previously just the TRX group, so there were times when we would just look at each other in confusion, not completely sure if we were doing the exercise correctly. It was a small class though, so we did get corrected occasionally on our form. This past month, I've been taking a few fitness classes in different studios and this was one of the most rigorous. The exercises using the TRX were harder to do than the bodyweight or floor exercises we did. The studio is quite average in size. There's 4 TRX machines and 4 punching bags. There's a long mirror on the wall for you to check out your form while you're doing the class. There's also a shower area and a bathroom, but they're separated through rooms. I didn't see any lockers in the studio. We just put our coats to the side where the rest of the other equipment were. I would really rate this studio a 3.5 but given the friendliness of the instructor and how sore I felt afterwards, I just rounded up.

She helped get me back in shape without heavy impact exercises that could jeopardize my healing. Just by going twice a week, I was told by friends I looked the best they'd ever seen me. Don't be fooled by how "easy" some of the moves feel. My abs & arms looked so good and my posture went from hunched to upright. She's very generous with her time in workout sessions. She also used cupping & athletic tape if I was experiencing pain, while never charging for it. I also attend her unlimited Barre classes which she doesn't charge for if you're a private client & I've used her equipment after sessions on my own. She's been instrumental in my recovery and I'm grateful for her generosity, experience, and professionalism.

So I was looking in, in case we could find a little place to add to our workout repertoires specifically for Barbie doll. Cuz she does this kind of thing.
