I've now been a part of Transformation Fitness Studio for 2 years and so much of my life has changed and for the better. I have always shyed away from any gym or fitness environment due to bullying, rude service, and personal insecurities (still do but in a different head space now). I walked in their door and never looked back. I was paired with Maria, and it was the best thing to happen for me. Her knowledge her care she gets me. She pushes me further than I think I can go, and then pushes me further than that! At transformation fitness there is not one trainer who does not make their client feel worthy, motivated, inspired. I have my share of injuries/pain and with the dedication, care, and instructions from Steve I am able to still continue with my trainings through modifications and mobility work. The latest addition to an already fantastic studio are their Cardio Boxing classes .. holy full body work out. The biggest joy is how empowered I feel after, and how these classes are helping me feel more confident within myself and it's ALL BECAUSE OF THEM !!! I've been working out with Joe since April or May (it's all a blur with COVID). Best experience ever! His approach, knowledge and style is a perfect fit for what I need in a trainer. I didn't think virtual would be for me but since working out with Joe (I am in California) I have dropped 16 pounds and feel better and stronger than I have EVER. He is constantly pushing me to raise the bar and I've never sweated so much in my life! When I think I can't, Joe reminds me that I can! When my trainer moved on to open his own gym (shout out to JP!) I switched to training with Kurt. I cannot rave about him enough! He is the type of trainer where this is his ultimate passion and it really shows in everything he does. You are never bored and he always keeps you on your toes with new exercises (many of them highly effective workouts that he made up all on his own!). He is AMAZING as a trainer, he believes in your abilities as a client and he is focused on form, mobility, and pushing your limits. Do you feel like your soul may have left your body after an hour with him? Probably. But it is ALWAYS worth it and you feel incredibly proud of yourself after each session knowing that you actually worked at your limit. I always walk out shocked that I was able to do some of the exercises he would teach. I learned so many new exercises that train multiple body parts at the same time and can feel a significant difference in my flexibility/mobility. I found this place from a friend of mine because she said , her brother goes there and lost a lot of weight plus they're prices are great !! I decided to give them a try, so I stopped in yesterday evening after work to see what they offer. Off the bat, I met with a very friendly trainer who did not seem like all he was after was to get me locked into some expensive program. He was very genuine and kind. It turned out after speaking with him after a few minutes his name was Steve and he is the owner. I explained to Steve that I am getting married soon and I would like to get in shape for my big day. He made me feel very comfortable and assured me he will do his best to get me into his tight schedule. He had to go because he had another bride waiting !! Lol I gave him my information with the days I am available and we parted ways. About 2 hours later he texted me that he had an opening the next day right at the time that I was available. Today was my first session. Before we started, he asked me what I would like to work on, as-well as, what my favorite workouts are. He listened to each word I said and created a workout that's works very well for me. During my workout Steve was educating me as well as pushing my limits. Overall my workout was effective and fun. Steve was friendly, professional and extremely knowledgeable and honest. I am beyond ecstatic that I found this little gem on the island and I can not express how grateful I am to have Steve as my trainer. My fiancé and I started training at Transformation Fitness Studio to get wedding ready. Steve and Matt have been AMAZING trainers since day one. They encourage and guide us every step of the way. Both push us to our limits and really enjoy what they do. Our sessions are always interesting and exciting. We've seen a tremendous improvement not only in the way we look, but how we feel. I have been a member since April. In the last few months I have learned a lot more than a few simple workouts. I have achieved quite a few goals that I started believing were impossible for me. My lifestyle has completely changed for the better. I am healthier, happier and more knowledgeable about being healthy than ever before. Steve is an excellent trainer and Sarah is an amazing nutrition counselor & trainer! They are always around and willing to help. I love that I can say my results are 100% natural and based on my effort and not some supplements and fad diets. All the staff there are friendly, supportive and everyone has an amazing sense of humor. This place is truly amazing! When I came to my first session, I was feeling pretty sub par. A few years of being less than focused on my health and working crazy hours. I was feeling run down and disgusting. I felt like I was 25 going on 80 and completely unhappy. We started with the basics and figured out my limits. Steve is constantly switching up the workouts so I stay focused and motivated and he increases the intensity when necessary to push my limits. I love setting new goals for myself and Steve really helps me discover and set new ones (realistic ones). Each session brings emphasis to previously learned exercises and expands into new ones. He pushes me hard while emphasizing and teaching proper form, speed, and safety. I love that the training I do in the studio I can also do on my own. Like many people I get discouraged when I go to the gym and see intimidating equipment. Out of fear of embarrassment and injuring myself, I would avoid the machines completely and stick to the treadmill and elliptical. Steve helps me get over my fears by explaining how the equipment works and what each machine is used for. It feels good knowing I can contact him with any questions and he will always get back to me. I have been coming here for about a year and a half and let me tell you, it is one of the best decisions I have ever made. Training with a personal trainer seemed a bit much for me at first, but I quickly came to see the benefit of having some accountability to my workouts. Gym memberships just don't do that for you. I feel bad not going and I really like having someone there teach me how to do each pose and move. I used to just fumble my way through machines and be embarrassed and give up. My trainer is Rayna and I adore her! She knows exactly when to push me and doesn't mind if I let out the occasional snarky remark (haha). She's been through the weight loss process too and understands what a struggle it is. She has been wonderful at working around my schedule, has given me handouts to understand what is good for me nutritionally, and offers me meal ideas at every session. She sees me as a person and not just I thank Steve so much for pairing me with her. I've recommended her to my whole family! Besides having a wonderful trainer, the space and atmosphere Steve has created with the private rooms is that I don't feel awkward and exposed while working out but I have still been able to meet and talk to all the other trainers here.They are all outstanding people who really know their stuff when it comes to fitness and getting people to where they want to be. Been coming here about 6 months after purchasing a group on and deciding to take charge of my health. I have been to many trainers over the years, and I can honestly say that my training with Matt and Transformation Fitness has been the most productive and actually enjoyable experience. He really cares about his clients. He knows when to push and knows when to not push, which is an amazing thing since most trainers that I have had have not had that talent, and it is a talent. Emailing the studio was the best decision I ever made. I've only been going for about five weeks and I've lost 18 inches overall and my body fat is down almost 7%. While the numbers are great, what's more impressive is how I feel. I find myself smiling more, parking further away from a destination so I could walk more, and making better food choices (thanks Marsha). Anthony has been absolutely amazing. He's patient, motivating, and makes the 45 minutes feel like 5.
