I was surprised by how many people showed up. Class was packed! The gym seems to be decent with lots of equipment and a clean locker room. There's also a pool but it's currently under maintenance so I'm not sure when they'll reopen it. The staff members I dealt with were also friendly. There's a huge free parking lot shared by other stores so parking shouldn't be an issue. I wish they also offered a bike rack/storage but that's not the case. About two months in and my strength and posture has improved. The group sessions at 30 minutes, small groups - so far for my sessions 2 to 4 people. For the groups, your work out is what you make of it, the trainer offers modification for mobility limits (or until you get strong enough). Generally, the workouts are moderately challenging, so if you are lazy, you will not get the most out of the 30 minutes- so don't complain, give it your all and you will feel it! And if you want more challenge, the trainer will offer a modification. This is also all women, which I prefer. Pricing is more than most, but you are paying for the quality of your workouts and not the quantity of the square feet. We lost our house in 1992 to a strong storm, and I understand the entire beach was decimated during hurricane Sandy. I am also so happy that Wheeler park welcomes everyone from all over NJ (and elsewhere). Coming from out of the county will cost you a bit more, but not much. If you live outside of Union County it is $4.00 for kids ($2.00 in county) and $6.00 for adults ($3.00 in county). This splash pad has every water feature a kid could ever need - from bigger twisty water slides, to a small dragon water slide. Also, water guns that you can shoot each other with, a pirate boat, water shooting up from the ground, and much more. My kids spent a little over 2 hours here and had an absolute blast. We've been here about 3 times and it never disappoints. Just be sure to bring some sort of shade covering. There isn't much cover at the splash pad so we usually bring our small beach tent with us. There is also a dry playground in the splash pad gated area where kids can play too. They have staff who help keep the kids safe and to make sure everyone goes down the water slides safe and sound. I highly recommend Wheeler Spray Park on a hot summer day.

I didn't know what to expect when I walked into Transformation Fitness Studio for the first time. I've worked with trainers before, with varying degrees of success. As a result of all that trial and error, I have a much better idea of what works for me, what doesn't work for me, and what I really wanted to get out of the experience. But I had doubts that a chance stumble across a groupon was going to amount to much. So imagine how lucky I feel that the very first trainer I spoke with after deciding to revisit the idea of training would be the guy that would help me change my life. One conversation with Matt had me convinced that he understood my priorities, my goals, and my expectations. 25 sessions later - Matt's been my biggest champion and my biggest challenger. He pushes me to what I think are my limits, only for me to discover that they weren't my limits at all (even though he knew better). I can plainly see and feel myself becoming stronger every session. Matt makes himself as available as possible to answer questions and offer guidance, even in between sessions. My training sessions are often my favorite part of the week. From what I can tell, that appears to be the ethic of a lot of the trainers at Transformation Fitness Studio. Steve, the owner, is often the first person I see when I walk in and he's always got a genuine smile and a hello to offer, and it really sets the tone for the experience. I have observed other trainers offering advice and guidance to their clients and have been impressed with the interactions always being professional, informative, and with a genuine desire to help people improve their lives. I plan on continuing my sessions with Transformation Fitness for a long time and couldn't recommend it enough. read more

I have trained at Transformation Fitness for over a year and absolutely love it. The studio is the perfect alternative for those who do not like the big box gyms. It is truly one on one training at its finest ! My trainer Steve has challenged me since day one, pushing me to achieve my goals. Since training with Steve I've lost well over 129 pounds and 131 inches. My health has improved and I'm discovering that I'm stronger then I ever could imagine. The studio offers a wide range of services from nutritional counseling , yoga, and piyo classes as well as the one on one training. My results have caused me to bring my youngest son to the studio. He has seen the studios nutritionist Sarah and trains with trainer Joe. The combined services have helped him lose 19pounds and gain back his self confidence. The trainers at Transformation Fitness truly care about their clients, wanting each of us to succeed at reaching our goals. I LOVE transformation fitness!! The sessions are sooo much more reasonable then anywhere else!! My trainer Steve is awesome! He pushes me when I want to give up and that's exactly what I need. He tries his best to be flexible with my schedule and I've never had a problem. The training really is one on one (unless you do one of their classes) and I feel comfortable because I hate being trained in a gym full of people with no privacy. The other trainers are also super friendly. I don't feel intimidated because they treat everyone like a friend. You also have the option of whether you'd like a male or female trainer or for some people they have no preference. I really enjoy all the variety of workouts you can choose from. They also have yoga now with a female trainer which I think I'm going to try. You can get a 1 on 1 or a class. Steve also told me that if I want I can schedule a class with up to 3 friends and that will be our class. I can't say enough good things- I'm in the best shape of my life, I'm comfortable there, the trainers are very knowledgeable, and the environment is beyond welcoming! read more

When I came to Transformation Fitness, I was for the first time in life overweight and didnt have a clue as what to do. I was one of those kids "who could eat anything and never gain weight" Well that all changed. After accusing the dry cleaner of ruining all my clothes, I realized I was overweight. A friend introduced me to Steve and his studio. I was very nervous for the first time in my life. I had no clue how to work out correctly and what foods to eat to transform my diet. That all changed when I met Steve. He took the time to teach me exactly what to do as far as working out and what to eat to correct my diet. Within 4 months, I lost 30 lbs. and went from busting out of a 36 waist to a 32 waist. Fast forward to now, 3 years later, I am 167lbs, with a 31inch waist and work out 5-6 days a week and truly enjoy it! I feel and look better than I ever have and Im going to be 40 in 4 days! I feel like I've found a secret amazing place that I want to keep all to myself ;but I see all of the 5 star reviews and Transformation Fitness Studio is so deserving of that rating. My trainer Mashood assessed where I could begin and started me at a place where I could be successful yet excel. Mashood is kind, patient, encouraging in a sincere and calm way and sooooo knowledgable and great at what he does. This gym is the opposite of the superficial muscle head trainer staring at himself in a mirror. Mashood is focused on my wellness during implementation, my execution of what he teaches me and getting things right. All the trainers are in great great shape and it feels like a wellness center. I haven't exercised in years and I look forward to every session. So far it's been life changing and I'm only on my 5th session. read more

I started virtually training with Christine in April. It was probably the best thing I could have done with my quarantine time. Christine was great at correcting my form via video chat and was super adaptable to my limited workout equipment and space in my home gym. Honestly I was shocked that I was seeing real results in my little spare room with my 6 dumbbells and makeshift workout bench. Before I knew it, I was building muscle, losing fat, and learning about what to put in my body to make my next session work for me! Christine's amazing at not making you feel like a failure when you can't figure out a workout or coming up with something else on the spot when you're not strong enough or just not getting it via the video chat. I've been training with Joe O' Hara of Transformation Studio for two years now. Joe has worked wonders and has helped me to dramatically improve my over health and physical well being. When I first joe I didn't think I'd be able to engage in anything physical due to a back problem. Joe patiently listened to my concerns and designed an exercise program that would strengthen my core muscles. I am so thankful that I found transformation studio they have truly transformed my life. When you come to the studio you don't just feel like a client you feel like you are family. Love the Tfit Studio! I purchased a groupon initially & I was so impressed by this place--personal training in a private & friendly atmosphere. Joe was my trainer and he was very encouraging & supportive in helping me get fit for my wedding. He pushed me to reach my goal (without the scary drill sergeant vibe that some personal trainers have LOL) & I was in great shape come wedding time. Everyone there is so nice..all the trainers including the owner, Steve--it's a place you want to come back to, no intimidation like other places. This place is wonderful. The trainers really care. You learn so much more about yourself during your sessions here than you would initially think! It's much deeper than just a workout. You grow in many different ways with TFit. Steve and his staff are great. I enjoy my time in the studio. I was a fitness instructor before getting pregnant with my son. I worked out throughout my pregnancy and thought it would be a breeze postpartum to get back into shape and my endurance/stamina. Boy was I wrong! I sought out a personal trainer because I knew that my form was completely off. Anthony was seriously the best trainer I could've asked for! He knew so much about my body postpartum and helped me with form and misalignment. I plan on going back to him again in the near future... I can't say enough good things about him and this place. I purchased the Groupon deal initially and it was the best decision i ever made for my health/body. Not only do the classes push your body to a point you didn't think was possible but it is so informative. Training with Matt has been great because he really pays attention to you and is so knowledgable about how the muscle and body works. You workout but you start to gain an understanding of mind and body connection. Discovered Transformation Fitness through a colleague and I'm so happy I found it! Not only is the space great (with private rooms and all the equipment you need to REALLY work out), the staff is amazing! Time and time again I've gone through this routine, before I realized that, to me, gyms are just intimidating. I figured, maybe I should find a small space and get 1 on 1 training. I found this place. I started training with Evans, and after my first meeting with him, I decided I had to booked 10 trainings. During the initial meeting, Evans really went through what my expectations, previous experiences, and my overall fitness level, before tailoring sessions to fit my needs. I've had 5 sessions to date, and am just thrilled with the quality and thought Evans puts into each one of my sessions. Wholeheartedly recommend training with Evans! If you have any reservations, put them aside and try at least one session with him. It'll be worth it!

I travel from the Verrazano bridge to Jackd five days a week, sometimes sitting in traffic for 45 mins to be part of the girl gang! Love the classes, love the trainers, love the fury management( pup patrol )! Love love love Jackd, hoping to see Ms. Jaclyn expand her fitness empire to my side of the island! All throughout the studio, there are inspirational quotes as well. What I love about the studio is that is it is women supporting women and an extremely positive environment. The owner Jaclyn is amazing, she is very friendly and informative about the different packages they offer. I let her know about my shoulder injury and she was more than helpful with offering moderations and checking form throughout the class. The workout I attended the Booty Camp - it was a HIIT style. Warmup, stations with rope slams, TRX bands and floorwork along a stretch cool down. I got an amazing workout in and will definitely be back. You are able to book all your classes on schedulicity and you want to do that as Jack'd has a great following. I am looking forward to coming back very soon!

An experienced and extremely knowledgeable instructor -- with a doctorate in physical therapy, no less -- she provides a challenging and safe mix of exercises in each class. Importantly, she accommodates the varying levels and ages of participants seamlessly. Her instructions are thorough, and the constant change is refreshing. I have recently added occasional private sessions with this highly-capable trainer. I love her!
