The instructor knowledgeable in palates. The bad - studio smell like sweat that has not been cleaned up in ... ever. - the studio owner is unprofessional and rude and there is nothing "namaste" about her demeanor. - the instructor seems threatened and terrified of her boss (the owner) to the point of creating a false narrative Will not be returning. If you are okay with disrespectful behavior and just taking class by disconnecting with the rest of the world- this is a place for you. Disclaimer - I am a health professional with 30+ years of dance teaching experience. When your hot yoga studio forbids you from leaving the room during class, even if you felt unwell, it raises concerns about safety. To add insult to injury when the studio owner proceeds to yell at you, questions you says that by leaving the class was disrupted, and insults - that's speaks volumes about the culture of the practice. If I didn't leave, the class would have been even more disrupted with the instructor unable to teach at all because they would need to take care of the student instead of teaching, Furthermore, when the owner accuses the client that because of the client the owner could not complete their scheduled personal important appointment- that demonstrates concern for the owner's mental state. There are safety risks involved with hot yoga and it is the responsibility of the instructor and the student to ensure safety. Listening to your body is paramount: Regardless of studio policy, your well-being should be the priority. If you feel dizzy, lightheaded, nauseous, or experience any other signs of heat intolerance or illness during a hot yoga class, it's essential to take a break or leave the room. Same with dance -pushing through injury is highly discouraged as it may cause further injury. People are paying for the class, this is not a prison. No one comes to class looking to disobey.

She was really helpful in getting my lower back to release tension, I felt more awake and lighter after class. My husband said it was difficult for him, but definitely necessary and he felt looser and more refreshed afterwards. I loved that we used blankets, blocks, a chair and even ropes that hang from the wall to release tension in different parts of the body. It was awesome and I can't wait to go back!

The owner was our instructor that day and it is clear how passionate it. This isn't a CorePower it's traditional yoga which was a breath of fresh air given my current practice is at CP. I really felt unit 108 cared about my mental well being in pushing me to the next level of my yogi practice. He cared to encourage me to try new poses, fall and picked me back up. He also adjusted any posture I had that was off. I left the class feeling refreshed and confident! The entrance was a bit hard to figure out but eventually i saw you buzzed in and walked up the stairs it was easy to get to the studio. If i lived in the area this would be my go to yoga place. The community is very welcoming and the owner, who recently took over the space from I Am Yoga, is very friendly and cares a lot about the space and bringing wonderful teachers to lead the community in their practice. They are always nice at the desk welcoming you with a hello and saying goodbye when leaving. The cleaning crew are always cleaning and the place is spotless. You always have cleaning wipes to clean down machines. There is rarely dust anywhere and the bathrooms are always clean. There is a large parking lot but it does get filled up quickly so give yourself ample time to look for a spot. There is brand new equipment as of the beginning of 2025 so you are basically working on everything New. The price of this gym is expensive. if you just use the gym area you are paying for the whole gym. Pool, and other amenities and such. This is though I think the best gym so far I would say on the island for the money. Nice people working here , nice clientele, clean atmosphere. It does get crowded at times but tell me what gym doesn't.

Even a YMCA staff escorted those maintenance workers into the women's locker room and shower room the Y staffs would not make sure everyone aware of it. I personally don't feel secure in this environment. I understand things broken and need repairing. It's impossible to closed down the entire locker room for just maintenance purposes. But the management should do a better job on this. I don't blame those maintenance workers. It is 100% responsibility of the YMCA management to pretect their members. They should have trained their staffs better to make sure everyone aware of the situation. No one wants to experience surprises like this. ***Updates: Thanks for writing back. Here is more information about both incidents as requested. Look forward to seeing any improvement. The first incident happened sometime last year. Once I walked out of the shower room I heard some men talking in the sauna room. I quickly ran back in the shower room and told the cleaning lady what happened. Then she talked to the YMCA female staff who accompanied the maintenance workers. She then walked them outside and asked me to finish changing in one of the stalls in the locker area so the workers can continue the repairing. I was not notified by any staffs about the situation when I was in the shower. The second incident just happened couple weeks ago 9/26. When I entered the shower room from the pool I saw a YMCA female staff standing in the hallway and sipping ice coffee. I saw one of the shower stalls occupied at that time. As soon as I entered one of the shower stalls I heard a man voice. He was supposed to check which showers were broken. I was not being notified when I walked in the shower room even the staff saw me.
