This place is no pish posh, simple and delicious. I ordered the Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl and it was fantastic. Everything in my bowl was just right. It isn't your "traditional" poke bowl, it had steamed veggies on it that were sweet, it paired so nicely with the mildly spicy tuna and sticky jasmine rice! While we didn't have ant of their numerous gourmet hotdog combos on this visit they are on the radar. I chose their fresh catch, which happened to be cobia is last evening served with lime rice, freshly steamed spinach, corn and black bean relish and plantanos Madura. It was offered grilled, blackened or lemon pepper. I chose grilled as this fish has a firm white sweet flesh and needs little to enhance its favor. The fish came out hot and perfectly cooked. Great place, Also some very nice gator fans in the house,,,first time, won't be our last. My wife had the fried clam and shrimp plate and the shrimp were freshly breaded, served with tartar,cocktail and a siracha mayo and waffle fries. I had my first Long Doggers experience last night and was not disappointed. We had wings....fabulous, onion rings....the coating was amazing, Mac n cheese dog....my son loved it, Johnny O hot dog was Fabulous! So to start with my review, I have to put some things into context. I'm not a fan of eating, and someone smokes while I'm eating near them. During my trip here, I was excited because I'd heard good things about long doggers from all of my co-workers. When I made it to this location, I think they slightly missed the bar, but everything can be fixed. With improvements in the service and possibly not letting people smoke eat the eating area, I feel they'd be making great strides in the right direction. My food was good! I want to make a point on highlighting that. I had the Mahi bowl, and it was delicious! I will try the others and compare them to this location to get feeling! Give it a shot! read more

The service was pretty nice, the food was also pretty good. The reason why I'm giving it two stars is because in the menu the " chicken tenders " was listed with a side of french fries and fruit. This side of fruit was literally a orange wedge! which you can see in picture. I think that's very deceiving. Please don't list the fruit as a side at all, it would be more appreciated. read more

Buckle up, this gets bad. Manager Mike is a blessing. He is helpful, friendly, and truly cares about his customers. Manager J.C. is horrific, let me elaborate: I have an egg allergy which was clearly conveyed to the waitress. When I received the burger, it had fried onions on it which Mike told me the night before contained egg in the batter. I explained to the waitress and asked for a new burger, which she understood and was very nice about. When the next burger came out it was served with coleslaw (made with mayo) which was spilling onto the burger. I explained to her again that I could not eat the burger and would like to be compensated for being served a known allergy twice in a row. J.C. shows up and says I threatened his waitress with not paying (keep in mind I'm at a table with 8 other people who have my back). I calmly explained that I did not threaten his waitress and he berates me for causing him trouble. Here is some direct dialogue from the ensuing conversation... Friend: shouldn't you know what is in the food you're serving? J.C.: I'm not the one with the allergy Other friend: The menu says alert the waitress of any food allergies which he did J.C.: Well why is he ordering here with allergies J.C.: I remember you from last year (he served me egg last year when I visited here as well), you're trying to pull something with your allergies. I'm not buying into that. He accused me of scamming them out of money because they served me something I'm allergic to twice... JC lost my business forever. The great food is not worth the hands-down worst service I've ever received. Again...Mike is amazing. I have been served egg by accident when he is on shift, and he sits with me to make sure I am feeling okay. If you have allergies, do not eat here. If JC is working, do not eat here. If you don't want to be yelled at by a manager for having an allergy while all the tables watch, DONT EAT HERE. Unfathomably horrible service by JC. Blows my mind that people like him exist and are allowed to work in customer service. He ruined my night. I hate making this review because I don't want it to affect Mike, who has been amazing with his service. Finally, they are in the restaurant service. They should know exactly what's the food they serve. Managers should de-escalate bad situations, not initiate hostility and accuse patrons. I will never be visiting Long Doggers again, and will forever warn potential patrons of the horrific service. read more

Visited 03/19/2019 Came here with the family for a little lunch. My daughter lives down here and really likes this place, so this was where we ate? As it turns out, pretty good food is served here. Very casual 'fun' place to visit. There were too many dishes with all of us for me to remember, but my wife, my daughter and I all had their Banzai shrimp. My daughter and I had it as a 'meal'... while my wife had it as the appetizer, the difference being that my wife's meal was served in a fried wonton bowl on bed of lettuce, while my daughter's and my shrimp came on bed of black beans and rice. Both were pretty delicious. Lots of spicy shrimp served 'bang-bang' style. Oh! We also ordered some kettle chips... one served 'loaded' and the other was "rippin' chicken" loaded... Both pretty yummy, although I'm pretty sure the calorie count is higher than I can count. Great service and a full service bar (and beer) make this a great place to stop for lunch... or dinner.
