Our dinner at Ocean 302 was very nice. They had plenty of options on their menu. The service was delightful. All of our food was very good. Calamari was to die for, but very spicy. The fish and chips were good. The dill on the crab cake sandwich was a little dilly for me, but it was still very good. The fries were unique and amazing. And the pasta was very very good. It wasn't very busy, and it was a nice place to eat for dinner.

Visiting Melbourne beach, looking in, restaurant seemed like casual beachy bar but once seated, the atmosphere is more nicer dining (like a steak house). Ordered a bunch of different entrees (for 17 of us!) and plates were well executed in presentation and taste. Just the mahi mahi bites bit soggy. Drinks were strong and generous pour. Service bit slow in food but friendly and competent. Place was packed for Tgiving eve - not sure if they take reservations (we were lucky to be seated at high table top right away).

Special appetizer salad "nicoise" with seared tuna, potato, green beans, salad greens.

Lovely dinner last evening with friends. I had this pictured salad which was wonderful. Prompt service too.

One of our mainstays when living here & certainly one of my favorite places. An ever changing specials list of new flavors & items keeps it fresh & new. The main menu is updated each season as well. Excellent chef & kitchen staff ensure consistency of very good prepared, cooked & presented food. There's something for everyone. From going solo to a large family or group, 302 always hits the mark. 7 in our party while back in town for a week long visit. Enjoyed 4 appetizers, unique special entrees & some staples. I had a grilled snapper sandwich as you cannot beat their fresh fish! My son had the Short rib Bolognese pasta. A Goddess Salad with Grilled Salmon was brought to the table & is a house favorite! As was a roasted Rosemary Chicken Breast. A pork chop that was massive & tender. Rack of lamb is a common special here - this night it was Jamaica Jerk spiced which steered me away but one at our table ordered it & said it wasn't an over powered Jerk spiced & the purple potatoes were awesome. We splurged for a sample of some desserts to celebrate an upcoming birthday. Each dessert was exceptionally good! Service is as professional as you'll find with great care at each point of service.

I highly recommend Ocean 302 Bar and Grill. My boyfriend and I went on a Saturday night without a reservation and they were very accommodating and we got seated right away without waiting. Staff was friendly and attentive. Food was amazing, we had their vegetable shrimp scampi and the their pork chop and they were both exquisite.

Kelly was our server Tuesday night and provided excellent service. We came in about 8:30pm and they close at 9 but they did not rush us. We ordered two scallops because they were sold out (normally a 4 piece order). She gave us a discounted price. We shared a crab cake which was very tasty and moist. Also shared cauliflower bites. The space is very large and upscale. They have an excellent happy hour 4-6pm with 20% off pizzas and appetizers. We came back last night for HH and I got some tap wine pinio Grigio and husband got tap ale for cheap. We split a truffle pizza which was more than enough food. Such a great location and atmosphere. It says a lot when we come back the next day during our vacation when there are other places to choose.

Tried on a whim and whims hardly ever steer me wrong. We grabbed a high top near the bar and started people watching...lots of locals which is always a good thing and our vantage point allowed us to survey a lot of the entrees as they left the kitchen on the way to the patrons. Our server was very nice and has been there for nine years and seems half her family also worked there....even though she was not the owner. Longevity says something I suppose. We ordered an app and it was very good... spinach artichoke dip. Check out the picture. I had Charlie's burger, lamb.... and DAMN it was good. The mahi mahi sandwich was also a large flavorful portion. Pro tip: The price of a sweet iced tea was 5 bucks.....For that price might as well have a beer :) We will be back to try some other items...we saw the pizza's were huge and they have HH specials on the board by the bar......

"5 stars! The fish and chips at Ocean 302 were absolutely classic comfort done right."

"5 stars! The fish and chips at Ocean 302 were absolutely outstanding--perfectly crispy beer-battered haddock that's flaky and fresh inside, paired with those addictive fries and a killer spicy tartar sauce. Generous portion, full of flavor, and just the right amount of crunch. Hands down one of the best versions I've had in Florida. Can't wait to go back for more! Highly recommend if you're craving classic comfort done right."

This place may not look like much from the outside, but once you step inside, the old-Florida atmosphere around the piano area completely changes the experience. It has a romantic, classic vibe that makes it perfect for an evening out with someone special. The service was absolutely excellent. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the food came out surprisingly quickly. The drink selection is great, and the cocktails are well made, taste fantastic, and definitely do their job! The live piano music really sets the mood for an evening of fine dining, drinks, and conversation. The food was very good, with both steak and seafood options that hit the belly just right. Definitely make a reservation if you want a good table, especially near the piano. Great atmosphere, excellent service, good food, and a memorable night. I would absolutely return!

We arrive on time for our reservation. We are greeted, if that's what you want to call it, by a tall older man. I swear he looked at us like, can you really afford to eat here? So the initial interaction was rather poor. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, so maybe he just had a bad day. Yeah, apparently not. The place is very pretty and certainly airs of a higher end establishment. After Mr. Snooty took us to our table, we were greeted by, ready for this, and even more snooty lady. Think Mrs. Howell. It's kind of like going on a date with a psychiatrist, knowing that they are judging every word that's coming out of your mouth. Lol. So after getting a lay of the land from her, we ordered some drinks, which were fantastic. Then the first course came and it was fabulous. We had the escargot and the oysters Rockefeller. Yum. The Escargot was buttery and soft. The oysters were well seasoned and perfectly cooked. We tried a lobster bisque and it was so so good. The touch of sherry was perfect. As for the Caesar's salad, this was the star of the evening. It was one of the best I've had and is what a Caesar salad should taste like. I am seriously considering going back there just for that salad. For dinner my wife had a lobster tail. She reports it was excellent. The snooty lady wanted me to try some special they had, but I went for the lamb chops. Again, perfect, medium rare. Winner. Snooty lady went uber obnoxious snooty after I didn't pick her choice. I was scared for the rest of the night. Overall price to food value, negative 100 billion. Food was fantastic. $250 for the portion sizes not worth it. Then again, even if they were bigger, not worth the price. Like I said, go for the salad and pass on the rest. Make you car payment and go to a more reasonably priced place that won't treat you like you need to have a credit report or occupation that they might approve of. Oh and they had some nice live music. That was good. Too bad, the staff put a damper on the birthday dinner.

The fatty portion of my Prime Rib was excessive. I get that ribeye-style cuts derive flavor from fat, but this was to the point where it overwhelmed the dish and left me wishing I had ordered the lower-cost ribeye instead. On top of that, it came out medium instead of medium-rare, which didn't help. That said, others at the table ordered the NY Strip and Ribeye, and both looked excellent--cooked properly and more in line with what I'd expect from a steakhouse at this level. Highlights of the meal: Brazilian sliders were fantastic--definitely a must-order appetizer Oxtail stroganoff was rich and well executed Mac & cheese was a solid side Cocktails were creative and well made Overall, I've had better steaks at lower price points, but also worse ones at higher-end spots. Based on what I saw from other dishes, I'd absolutely give Ember & Oak another shot--just not with the Prime Rib next time.

With such a prime location right on the beach, it feels like it could be an incredible restaurant and a serious revenue generator, but unfortunately, it doesn't seem like much has been invested into the property. I was surprised to hear that it supposedly has the same owners as Dijon's Restaurant up the street, which has a much more polished and upscale feel. The difference between the two is pretty dramatic. During our visit, a lot of the staff seemed to be standing around waiting for customers, and the whole place just felt like it was missing some energy. The outdoor dining area is dated and not particularly inviting. The windows and exterior show plenty of wear from the beach weather--which is understandable in this location--but the overall space still needs some attention. If you do eat here, I'd recommend staying downstairs. Upstairs had more of a pool hall/dude-hangout vibe and definitely wasn't where I'd choose for a romantic weekend dinner with my wife. This feels more like a beach-day, grab-some-grub kind of place that happens to occupy the building of a much larger restaurant.
