Went to Ocean 302 while visiting family; I ordered the 3 of us ordered the Fish & Chips, my niece had the calamari which she loved, another person had the she crab soup, which she didn't care for and other persona had the Mahi bites and the crab cake which she said was good. Unfortunately the three of us that had the Fish & Chips were unanimously disappointed. The batter of the fish was very flavorful, but the cod itself was extremely bland, it had absolutely lacked seasoning. On the other hands the chips were really good, they were thinly cut and had a great crunch. As a visitor to the area i wouldn't break my neck to come back. Visiting Melbourne beach, looking in, restaurant seemed like casual beachy bar but once seated, the atmosphere is more nicer dining (like a steak house). Ordered a bunch of different entrees (for 17 of us!) and plates were well executed in presentation and taste. Just the mahi mahi bites bit soggy. Drinks were strong and generous pour. From going solo to a large family or group, 302 always hits the mark. 7 in our party while back in town for a week long visit. Enjoyed 4 appetizers, unique special entrees & some staples. I had a grilled snapper sandwich as you cannot beat their fresh fish! My son had the Short rib Bolognese pasta. A Goddess Salad with Grilled Salmon was brought to the table & is a house favorite! As was a roasted Rosemary Chicken Breast. A pork chop that was massive & tender. Rack of lamb is a common special here - this night it was Jamaica Jerk spiced which steered me away but one at our table ordered it & said it wasn't an over powered Jerk spiced & the purple potatoes were awesome. Kelly was our server Tuesday night and provided excellent service. We came in about 8:30pm and they close at 9 but they did not rush us. We ordered two scallops because they were sold out (normally a 4 piece order). She gave us a discounted price. We shared a crab cake which was very tasty and moist. Also shared cauliflower bites. The space is very large and upscale. They have an excellent happy hour 4-6pm with 20% off pizzas and appetizers. We came back last night for HH and I got some tap wine pinio Grigio and husband got tap ale for cheap. We split a truffle pizza which was more than enough food. Such a great location and atmosphere. We grabbed a high top near the bar and started people watching...lots of locals which is always a good thing and our vantage point allowed us to survey a lot of the entrees as they left the kitchen on the way to the patrons. Our server was very nice and has been there for nine years and seems half her family also worked there....even though she was not the owner. Longevity says something I suppose. We ordered an app and it was very good... spinach artichoke dip. Check out the picture. I had Charlie's burger, lamb.... and DAMN it was good. The mahi mahi sandwich was also a large flavorful portion. Ambiance was really nice. Lots of tvs and plenty of seating. The restroom at this establishment by far is one of theeee cleanest I've seen. Zeke said they even offer mouthwash. I didn't see nor did I need it, but that's fancy! Lol! Fried calamari was so good! Perfectly battered and fried. I love that it came with 2 dipping sauces even though we didn't dip at all. We normally don't dip not that there's anything wrong with the sauces. Brussel sprouts with bacon with feta cheese without the balsamic glaze. One of the best Brussel sprouts we've had. And we usually order it if it's on the menu and most establishments. I was disappointment that most of the bacon pieces that were with the app came out burnt. And it just left a bad taste in your mouth. So we ate everything but the bacon. Which I was sad about because who doesn't love bacon?! I asked Zeke which pie is most closest to a supreme pizza. He suggested the charcuterie. I took his suggestion. The flavoring of the pizza was good. The pizza sauce wasn't too sweet or too tart. The dough was good. The crust was good. The toppings were good. Their sausage was the best thing from the meats. The only thing I didn't appreciate was the slices I think were made too thin because when we tried to pull off a slice, literally the toppings came off the pizza OR the slice came apart on the tray. They have a simple menu which some options for non seafood eaters. Def a place that just keeps yo the basics which I can respect. No frills decor. The entrees I rate three stars but the service and drinks are four stars and the appetizers are five stars. I have been to Ocean 302 a few times now and each time I have tried something new because I really haven't found something I really like as far as a meal. The most recent time I went with my husband and our friend. After a full day of travel we were very hungry so we ordered tons of food and drinks of course! Before dinner we ordered some starters they were so so good and honestly I wish I would have just made a meal full of appetizers. We ordered the Truffle Fries and a Charcuterie Wood fired Pizza, both were DELICIOUS!!! I ate way too much of both but it was worth it! The fries were crispy and the pizza was full of flavor with a crispy smoky crust. I ordered the Braised Oxtail, it was a special of the day. I thought the Oxtail was okay, it wasn't my favorite thing I've had but it did have some good flavor. The only thing I didn't like was the toughness of the meat, it is possible it was cooked perfectly I don't eat Oxtail often so I don't have a good feel for what it should taste like. Ocean 303 is not far from my in-laws house so I will absolutely be back so I can try even more things as well as order those appetizers again! read more

The pizza could feed 4 people. Thin crust, tons of Flavor and a perfect blend of cheeses that it was gooey and stringy and topped with not so greasy pepperoni. Yummy hooey gooey goodness. I did order appetizers spinach artichoke boule's which is a bread bowl good flavor and creamy and great Presentation, real butter and sourdough bread which was a extra charge, roasted cauliflower with bacon crumbles and cheese. All were extremely delicious. I would next time order the boule and cauliflower and add real butter because the it Is the same bread. Nice selection quality wines and beers. We got a few appetizers for the table but the best was the spinach/artichoke bread. It's served warm with the dip on top. We also got the calamari and the Kale Brussel sprouts but they were just ok. I brought a party of four here for dinner. We were warmly greeted and seated at our reserved time. Our server was quick to take our cocktail order. I ordered their signature smoked old fashioned. It was delivered in a reasonable amount of time and it was expertly prepared and delicious. I spend some time scanning the menu. They offered a squid ink pasta with seafood as a special. Impressive but I wasn't interested in pasta that evening. I was disappointed they did not have a fresh catch offering. At this caliber of establishment one would expect it. I ordered the clam chowder and the jerked shrimp at the suggestion of our server. The chowder when delivered looked great, packed with tasty ingredients, and hot which was needed on this cold Florida night. The jerk shrimp skewers lay on a bed of rice, a lightly tangy spicy sauce and covered with lots of tiny pineapple bits. This combination was delectable. I did get to sample the fish and chips. The fish was expertly battered, very crispy, and the fish inside was perfectly cooked. I didn't care for their house sauce with the fish, when asked about tartar sauce, they don't serve it. Astonishing! For dessert I selected their lemon cake. It was served with fresh whipped cream. It was a very tasty cake with what I suspect to be a limoncello filling.
