We visited twice while vacationing in Terlingua. The first night we tried the pepperoni pizza and an order of wings. The pizza was great and the wing sauce was on point! Our last night in town we went for the fajita chicken, pepperoni and jalapeño pizza and it was amazing! I normally do not like more than plain or pepperoni and am very picky about chicken but this fajita chicken was moist and flavorful! The crust was the right amount of crispy. We sat outside both visits for the full desert experience! One night there was live music and the other we watched the Eagles win. Staff is so friendly and attentive. I think they all shared stations because we didn't lack for anything! The owner was there both nights serving pizza and greeting customers. We stopped here after hiking on a Sunday at Big Bend and almost nothing else was open. The atmosphere of this place was great and the person that waited on us was absolutely fantastic. we ordered The Javelina and it was delicious. Good pizza for pickup or dine in if you're in Terlingua! Great option to pick up after a long hike! There's a great bar area in the back with a band on some days. Parking can be a little tricky, but definitely worth checking out. It's a little past "town" and you'll feel like you've missed it, but no fear, you didn't! Great chicken wings as well! Kyle went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and to make sure we were enjoying our visit and the food. He was super friendly and personable. He had a sense of urgency yet still took time with each customer. I would be back just for Kyle's service alone. The mozzarella sticks came out quickly and tasted fresh. TL;DR - you MUST eat here. Well... Kathy and I have been heading down to Terlingua for the Barlow Music Fest for most of the last 25 years (and a few other times as well), and in doing so we've been watching the changes as they appear year to year. Some good, some bad, mostly interesting. But this year - out of all the changes, one stood above the rest. For many years we have had occasion to venture west out of Terlingua and stop in at Long Draw Pizza. It had usually been crowded; the pizza and the crowds were okay as well. We were totally unprepared for what we found in this October 2022 trip. The new owners bought the old business and have completely breathed new life into it. From the overall layout, to the kitchen, to the new elevated deck and bar area out back, they've put the work in, and it shows. They are open every day except Tuesday, and the revamped venue is so amazing. When we stepped into the place, we ran into old friends Bill and Deba, met some new friends, and found a seat at their family-style long tables. The staff was wonderful, providing just the right amount of attention without hovering, and was responsive to every request. So friendly! They also have live music several days a week - a plus. Then, we saw the menu. The choices all sounded wonderful, which made selecting a meal a challenge. We decided to split a large half-jalapeno Six Shooter, carrying both meats and veg. The toppings were fresh and plentiful, there was just the right amount of cheese, but the crust - wow. In all of my decades of pizza eating, this may be the lightest medium crust I've eaten - ever. Like a light and airy focaccia, it was perfect for the toppings load, not too doughy or too crunchy, but right down the middle. It was so filling that we had to take some with us when we left - it was the next day's lunch. Two days later, we were heading back for more. This time, I had the all-meat Coyote with added mushrooms, and Kathy longed for the Alye's CBR, a chicken/bacon/ranch pizza. We swapped pieces to share the experiences, and boy it was worth it! Again, some went home, and became lunch once more. Thanks again, Mallory and Andy Mundy, your whole team seemed excited to work there, and it carries over to the dining experience. Listen, any time you're out on US 90 in West Texas, this is worth the detour. Their pizza is THAT good. read more

We enjoyed this spot! It was super chill and we were definitely hanging with the locals here. It had a hole-in-the-wall feel. It wasn't too busy when we got there, and were able to snag a seat at the bar. They had two vegetarian pizza options on the menu and we ordered them both. We paired it with some shiner on draft. And ended up throwing in some mozzarella sticks. It was all bar food, but super good, especially the pizza with all its toppings. We had too much food, but enjoyed our whole meal. We stuck around for a little bit, drinking beer, playing connect four, and chatting with other customers. We even had interesting TV to watch - folks driving their tractors through mud. Great place to spend an evening (and watch BattleBots! ) with good pizza and a great beer selection. The pizza was very good, and since I can't eat Mozzarella and my husband won't eat onions, they graciously let us swap Monterrey Jack and jalapeños on our pizza. It's not fancy (but it's fun!) and didn't have a 3-hour wait like other restaurants in town, but it's quickly become one of our favorites in Terlingua--can't believe we've been out there SO many times and never tried them! And I wouldn't say the lady (owner? bartender?) looks like Ruth from Ozark at all and she definitely doesn't act like her! But I do agree that Grumpy Ed wasn't grumpy either. Thanks y'all! Credible non-corporate pizza that's a welcome addition just outside of Terlingua less than two miles and nicely offsets the BBQ/Mexican options the town already has to offer. We got a 16" to go but would have enjoyed dining in for what looks like a friendly, toned down kind of place to enjoy a college football game on their TVs. In an area that is pretty shy on a lot of dining spots, a very welcome options. Nice that the only pizza you can get in the area is quite good. If you come: major credit cards accepted, plenty of beers on tap and can/bottle. Parking in front just off the highway. read more
