Long Home Products installed a shingled roof on my home that is still under warranty. For over 15 months, I have reported multiple active leaks over my Bay Window and repeatedly requested warranty repairs. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Despite several inspections by Long representatives, repairs were never scheduled, inspection reports were not provided, and the leaks remained unresolved while water continued to enter my home.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Long eventually agreed to perform a repair only if I signed an addendum stating the work would be "not warrantable" and shifting liability away from the company. Requiring a homeowner to sign an addendum in order to receive warranty repairs is not consistent with normal roofing industry practices. Long has also attempted to blame an intersecting flat roof for the leaks, despite failing to disclose any alleged negative slope at the time of installation and despite earlier inspections identifying cracked and wet shingles installed by Long. Independent roofing contractors have confirmed the leaks originate in areas covered by Long-installed shingles. Rather than addressing these defects under the warranty, Long delayed repairs and attempted to limit responsibility through paperwork. Long Home pressured my elderly mom to sign loan she didn't need for over priced roof (manager admitted price too high but explained you pay for warranty & customer service neither of which we received!) They got her to sign certificate of completion MONTHS before inspector came out (job is still not technically complete!) Did weird vent we've never seen, left nails all over that popped mom's tire, and was verbally abusive when called out.They never made it right. read more

Absolutely terrible. Got sold on quality of work and great warranty. They told us it'd be a 3 day install, then forced the work through in one day. What we ended up with is a shower where the doors don't close properly and a bath that was completely installed wrong and not functional. I paid for new windows. The crew put them in backwards (water drains facing inside the house). They had to come back out and rip all the windows out, put them in correctly, and recaulk (not new windows). Several window sills were busted, not repaired. All the double windows trim buckled. Then, the caulk started to shrink, 6 windows broke (no contact from debris), and 2 windows won't lock (they do not line up right). I contacted Long Home several months ago. They sent out a contractor who investigated the issues. He concluded the windows were handled too much, and they would be replaced under warranty. It all started with a doubtful phone call to a general answering mailbox after hours. I simply left my name and phone number to get a call from the local sales representative. I have been in construction for most of my adult life and all too familiar with the demo/rebuild process,including pricing and acquiring necessary permits and inspection process. I have many contacts in the rebuilding section and the plan was for me to demo and have one of my connections come in set up a shower and all the necessary permits to get it completed. Since this is our only bathroom, I was concerned about the down time running into a multi week period of repairs. I researched the idea of a porta-potty and suggested it to my wife for temporary service. That idea was vetoed and plan B was to initiate the big company quick install process. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We set up the appointment for a day that would be home around 4pm. She arrived prompt and said that she has many years and clients in our area and could provide us with an estimate that night.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had my connections and all of them were around the same dollar bracket that she quoted. But ,the big difference is that they could do it in 3 days! We were satisfied with the product book items and my wife picked the color, style, finish and trims. I now gave her the deposit check to order all of the materials for installation. The order is not received to them for 4-5 weeks, which is acceptable, considering that we had a fully functional shower and toilet. The time came that I received the call,stock and supplies were in. It was actually the 3-4 week time frame, ahead of schedule, bonus points for being early. We got a choice of 2 different weeks to choose from. We picked the week that fit us. Now it's time to put the proof to the promise, the crew arrived on time on the scheduled day, did a full demo and we were already scheduled for the rough plumbing and building inspection. The whole time not losing the use of the toilet for more than 2 hours. The total rehab was done in 4 days, so my wife was completely satisfied and I didn't have to sleep in the garage with the motorcycles! I was honestly astounded how simple and the speedy process had happened to the bathroom, shower , floor and all the plumbing fixtures were completed.The quality of material is better than expected. I would give the company and all the employees, whom I never got a chance to meet,an A for service! Kudos to Victoria Swan for her professionalism and product knowledge and support. 1 Star I don't usually write bad reviews, but I feel like people need to be warned. I paid close to $13,000 in July 2024 to have Long Home Products convert my bathtub into a walk-in shower. Less than a year later--in May 2025--one of the corner shelves completely fell off. For that kind of money, the work should be flawless and long-lasting. Instead, I got a shower that started falling apart within 10 months. [[HIGHLIGHT]]To make things worse, I had to call them twice to get it fixed. Long Home improvement is the most unprofessional, unskilled, and disappointing company I have ever seen. Do not do business with them. I had a bathroom remodeled that left me completelydissatisfied. The sheetrock job was awful, full of seams, black stuff coming through the ceiling above shower, a seam on the wall in shower, the exhaust fan is vented in my attic floor. We needed a new shower installed after a hurricane flooded our house. Since my husband is handicapped and had difficulty getting in and out of the sunken shower, we wanted the old sunken shower (which had been destroyed in removing wet walls) to be filled with concrete to floor level and a new shower installed. The salesman said that is what they would do. But they didn't. They put in a wood box to support the new shower pan and took no precautions to waterproof the area. When we questioned them, they asked if concrete was specified in the contract (which was very lengthy). It was not. We mistakenly took their word as their bond and we are screwed. They also did a half-assed job of what they did do. One shower wall did not meet the ceiling and there was no calking where the shower met the floor, insuring some water would trickle in. We were also only offered the shower accessories that they had in their truck. They do not coordinate. read more

I got a brand new roof just 16 months ago and it's already leaking all over the place. The guy that did, it had done a couple roofs in my neighborhood, and they looked pretty good so we hired him. Now the roof is leaking like crazy and he's nowhere to be found. Won't take my calls. I called Long Home Products for a roof estimate and they sent Anthony out to my house. He spent a ton of time explaining why my roof was leaking. The guy that did it originally, failed to put anything underneath the shingle. It's just shingle and wood and that's it. He also didn't install any ventilation and did not reflash the chimney. I called Owens Corning to get warranty and they told me I have none because the installer did not follow the installation procedure correctly So now I'm SOL. Basically he charged me 50% the cost it should have been for a roof but only did 25% of the job. The original roof cost me $15,000 and lasted less than 2 years. This new one cost a lot more but at least I know it's getting done properly. Also they had financing so my monthly payment is low thank God. I now have a contract in writing and a warranty in writing that's very easy to read and understand. I wish I knew this stuff earlier. On another note: Bob from bobs roofing, if you're reading this you better hope I never see you. read more

Final price for roofing (after they dropped the price 10k) was not bad at all. But they were so obnoxious. Got to the point where we asked them to leave. May have been a great product. But we will never know as their "sales pitch" was obnoxious to the point that they could have dropped it another 10k and we still would have turned them down. Please DO NOT use a his company! I got a $10,000 walk-In shower with caulking between the 3 acrylic walls. They put in the hand rail wrong for seniors to get up from a sitting position. They put the shelves i.lm the wrong place. I absolutely hate my bathroom but I'm already in too much money to do anything else right now. Friends have showed me their walk-in showers and for about $6000 they have a beautiful walk in tub and shower doors vs a curtain. No name brands fixtures and keep claiming quality. The only fix offered was to pay another $8,000 and I don't want them back in the house as I don't trust them or their 50 year warrantee. BIG MISTAKE! Save your money, do lots of research before being pressured into using them. I would keep this in mind when using them for any of their services Please learn from me and not get stuck with a bill for something you hate. As soon as I pay off. Horrible customer service and nothing but headaches! They're doing their business a terrible disservice by having Anthony, "Project Coordinator", handle customer issues. The issues with my projects such as- not showing up on the scheduled date, not doing the work outlined in the project, leaving material on my front yard for almost a month (still there), not installing my gutters 1-8 days after the roof as I was told (26 days later still no gutters), not being able to reach anyone- all of those I would have forgiven with some sort of apology and assurance that it would be corrected. Instead, I get this arrogant guy gas lighting me, accusing me of "fabricating issues", insisting that they did nothing wrong. I was annoyed before, now I'm fuming. It's unbelievable. read more

Two congenial Long Home Product Specialists (300 Myles Standish Boulevard #102, Taunton, Mass.) did a 2 hour presentation to my wife and I in our home in New London, NH. They measured the bathroom for a tub removal and a new shower installation. Their presentation was way too long and would not have been necessary if they had mentioned in advance of the presentation the extreme price of $44,000 for a "two day project". We do not have time or energy to waste. Even after discounts for being ex military, etc. the price was still shockingly high. They wanted us to sign an agreement immediately after the presentation. I was thinking $44,000 could buy other than a tub removal and a new shower install : 1) a new car or 2) a 10% deposit on a primary residence that cost $440,000 which already includes 2 or 3 bathrooms with tubs and/or showers. We just had a new septic system installed by a local contractor with excellent references. It included a lot of heavy excavation machinery, multiple septic tanks, many loads of stone delivered by huge dump trucks, etc. over several 12 hour days and numerous workers and truck or excavation machine drivers plus an electrician. The cost: $25,000 and we have to pay another $1,000 to repair the lawn and move our stone wall back into place. I highly recommend you hire local contractors who are accountable for any problem resolution/damages, etc. and want their local reputation to be positive. The contractor should have excellent references from local customers. Negotiate a clear contract that includes: dispute resolution if problems occur and an accurate and thorough estimate of cost that includes all elements of the jobs: cost per hour for the workers, cost per truckload, # of truckloads, yard excavation and install of tanks cost, etc. read more

I'll start out with the finish product, I love my new walk in shower. HOWEVER, getting to the finished product was more than a challenge. The sales person lied about the time line, the project coordinator, which I didn't know existed until after the project started, lied repeatedly. How you say? 1) Sales person stated 2-4 days to complete the project; took 5 days, would have been longer if they didn't come on a Saturday to complete. 2) Project Coordinator, who was suppose to be over seeing everything, never knew she existed until after the project started. Demo was done in 1.5 hours, waited until the next day when I started calling, learned about the project coordinator at that point, plumber was a no show. It turns out, and this was confirmed by someone at Long, plumber was never schedule, although he got there quickly after I started complaining. Waited 2 days for building inspector, although I was told he was coming Wednesday, then he was coming Thursday, then he was coming Friday and the installation would start Friday afternoon. Well, I finally called the building inspector myself, he never (never never) received a call from anyone at Long. He came to my house within 10 minutes to do the inspect. Then I asked the installer what time he was coming on Friday, he said he wasn't scheduled until Monday. So why was I told Friday? Because they lied again. So needless to say I lost my temper at this point. Which prompted the installer to work a Saturday to get this job done. I have to say, the installer is the only person at Long that I trust. He was straight forward all the way. Again, love my new shower. Would not recommend Long Home Products to anyone and would not hire them again. read more

Well the appointment came and no one showed up or there was no call or text to cancel. This is a company with a lot of negative feedback on yelp. I would never recommend this company or do any business with this company. They also want to have all homeowners present for the appointment so they came gang up on them. We have done many home projects to our Townhouse ( Windows , Mini splits for A/C and Heat , Electrical , Deck Work , and many other projects and no one has asked us to have all homeowners there. We know what we want and don't want to listen to a long and boring sales PITCH. They said it was a law that all homeowners have to be present , ITS A LONG HOME PRODUCTS LAW , I called the Attorney General of New Hampshire and they told me its not a State Law its Long's Requirement.
