This fast food restaurant is in my top three most favorite places to eat. The food quality is amazing, I saw how they deep fry everything. Fresh out of the pan. Those coconut shrimp soo good, love the cheese. I don't understand why people hate this. This is my first time getting an actual meal and it's just incredibly good! The service was great. July 1rst at 7:30pm I waited in line for 30 mins. Watching cars come, wait and leave. I finally got to pull up where you order your food. I waited again for at least 15 mins. I finally pull to the window and told the lady, I've been waiting over a half hour for someone to take my order. Her excuse was her headphones are old and she didn't know I was waiting. Hello! there was a line of cars waiting and some pulled off. I asked for her manager and she said, she was the manager. OMG! She doesn't know anything about managing. We were looking forward to a nostalgic visit to LJS but were sorely disappointed. In retrospect, the food was pretty much as remembered and the staff was courteous, but we should have ordered to go. This location is notable because it has a lot of the older decorations the chain used back in the 1980's and 90's, like the wooden ship's wheel hanging on the wall, old black and white photos of sailors and fishermen from years past, old navigational maps, and fishnets decorating the walls. However, there is no wooden "dock" sidewalk around the front of the building and the light fixtures looked more like the more "modern ship" fixtures used throughout most of their chain nowadays. I have been to this location, as well as ordered from them through DoorDash, several times and each time i have had problems with both food and customer service. Their staff is terrible at their jobs and the customer service is atrocious. Either in store or ordering they can never get the order right because of poor prep or missing items. This place totally sucks. I went their last night and ordered a 2 piece fish combo. The regular manager wasn't there. Instead it was a younger manager and the service was awful. I even had to wait 5-10 minutes to place my order despite the fact I was the only person in line. After I finally placed my order I noticed that there were people who had placed carry out orders sitting around waiting for their food. People including myself, had to wait in excess of 10 minutes before getting their food. I decided to dine in. After about 15 minutes the cashier brought my food to the table and quickly tried to dash off. I stopped her and asked, "Wait a minute. Where are my hush puppies?" She nonchalantly said, "Sorry, we are all out of hush puppies." and continued to walk away as if nothing was wrong. I then went to the young lady who was the acting manager and she simply didn't care. When I complained she said "Oh she should have told you we were out of hush puppies." They gave me a cup of cole slaw in its place. I didn't need an extra cup of cole slaw. This is the worst Long John Silver's ever. I wish I could give them zero stars. Brittany, the assistant manager, is amazing and pulls off making a simple trip for fast food special. Now before I start, I want to thank all the fish mates world-wide for their hard work and dedication. On October 21, 2016 I went to Long John Slivers for the first time with my fellow teammates.We made it across Ridge Road in good time. As soon as i walked through the door and was greeted with the smell of grease from the fryers and the wonderful voice of Sleepy Fins saying, "and what will you be getting today?" I ordered my 2 sides of fries and 1 order of onion rings, because I cannot eat the fish. I ask for a cup of water and was kindly handed a cup filled with water. When Sleepy Fins took my order it was like One-Eyed Willy and Frankenfish knew what I was going to get. Both of them fired up the fryers and went to work baby. I sat down in the booth in back located close to Davy Jones Locker Room (The Bathroom). My order was soon delivered by Mrs.Sliver and I replied with a "OOOOOOUUUUUU" she took my kind gesture to the heart. Then I wiped the first layer of grease off of my food and started to smash it. It was Delicious but after awhile I started to get a queezy feeling and that when I knew it was time to run back to the high school to take a dump, But before we left we each got a signature LJS hat and left the establishment one by one, ringing the bell each receiving a "Go Mustangs" or a "Good Luck Tonight Boys!" from each of the ship mates. Between the unnatural wildlife, the greasy sorry excuse for food, and the alright customer service, this "restaurant" doesn't even deserve one star. I knew something was off when I saw more gnats in Long John Silvers than the Amazon Rainforest. Then the lady taking my order was nice, however. When I sat down, I took one bite into my chicken strip but immediately spit it out because of a chewy inedible piece in my chicken. I kept eating, although. The chicken was extremely greasy but not as oily as the fries. The food didn't seem fresh. Halfway into "eating" I saw a huge spider crawl out from under a seat. I grabbed my food, ran to the garbage, shouted "I'M DONE!" and stormed out of the restaurant and drove home. I now lay down writing this review, clenching my sick stomach, and hoping that that was not my last meal I would ever eat again.
