Disc Replay in Orland Park deserves every bit of a five-star review. Chuck, the owner, really knows…read morehow to run a business. The new Orland Park store is an absolute godsend. Dannel runs a tight ship--the store is consistently spotless and organized, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Chuck has created a great operation, and Dannel keeps the Orland Park location running smoothly. It's a huge asset to the community, and I highly recommend it.

Instead of actually checking, he led me to a section that I already knew was incorrect. I went along with it briefly to give him the benefit of the doubt, but it quickly became clear he wasn't interested in helping. Without making any effort to search or verify, he simply said they didn't have the item. He then brought over another employee who immediately backed him up rather than attempting to locate the item or provide any real assistance. This was a stark contrast to my past experiences at the Orland Park location, where employees were helpful, looked items up on their computers, and were able to locate plenty of what I was searching for. Unfortunately, the lack of effort and professionalism at this location has cost them a long-time customer. I will not be returning.

Such professionalism seems like they can't ever take criticism at all just the fact that I brought up about the scalp prices that they have

What a record experience and STORE should be like. The staff ENGAGE WITH CUSTOMERS, which actually…read moreguides sales. Any questions were answered, no weird "why is this person asking questions" vibes from the workers as the seems to be a trend nowadays where people don't think people will ask them questions at their job. They have a HUGE downstairs of somewhat cutout section prices, really $3 and up, but $10 for 3. Plus they have a turntable downstairs to cue up. Upstairs lots of inventory also, even lots of stuff outside. Just a diggers wet dream here. I got into Alchemist vibes here finding some Spanish singers records for the first time, now to collect. Elio Roca, Nelson Ned, and other rare artists like Pacific Gas and Electric. Now more stuff to collect! My specialty.

Unlike most stores with retro content, the workers were young and friendly. Maybe it's an overgeneralization but I usually expect any antique technology store to employ anti-social experts which is usually just fine with me. I would rather someone know their stock and the answer to by esoteric questions rather than someone with a fun personality. However, these two were very nice, and did seem to know pertinent stuff, and tolerated me singing along (badly) with the LP they were playing.. I got four old CDs, one which I just almost bought for $20 on Amazon for $2.00 TOTAL.
