My nephew wanted to check out this record store in Plainville (Chicago suburbs). It's a cool shop especially for collectors. There are amazing imports from various countries. There are all genres to be found from decades past to today (Ie. Taylor Swift and other current artists.) There are records, cassettes, CD, and even 8 track tapes! You can even purchase some artist related merch like t-shirts. If you don't have a record player, I believe I saw one for sale in the front. Our fam was welcomed into the store by someone working on the sales floor. Great visit (all the way from California!) and great vibes. Left 'Round is 4 stars!

I wandered in out of pure curiosity, and I'm really glad I did. This place is such a cool concept: browse vinyl while enjoying a great selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. They even carry Delta-9 THC beverages if you're looking for a relaxing buzz without the hangover. The record selection is surprisingly comprehensive for a shop this size, with plenty to dig through no matter what genres you're into. Beyond the records and drinks, they host live music, trivia, and other events throughout the week, making it feel like a genuine community gathering spot rather than just another record store. The staff was fantastic. I think the person helping me was Sue (if I remembered the name correctly), and she was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. If you're anywhere near Lisle, do yourself a favor and check this place out. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in town.

This is a cozy operation with piles and stacks of rando vinyl at a discount as well as an extremely organized selection of LPs. Not seeing what you want? Just ask, 'cause there's a sizeable collection in the back, too. They also sell CD's, posters, books, mags, et cetera. The people who run the place from what I overheard really seem like they know their stuff. I'm no connoisseur of records or an LP geek, so you may not want to go by me, but still. The folks who work there are friendly - I like being welcomed into the fold without having to be an uber-collector or anything. In brief, Orbit is a great record and miscellaneous media joint that's off the beaten path but totally worth the trip.
