This was a great and unexpected find. We were across the street at a brewery when we noticed that there was a distillery across the street. And it was OPEN!! WHOOP WHOOP!!! We love distilleries so we were super excited to check it out. We loved the atmosphere immediately upon walking in. We instantly felt welcomed! Of course, I noticed that they offered flight of espresso Martini's so that was without a doubt on my order. I have also grown very fond of gin lately and I am craving nice weather. Gin always makes me think of summer. I love how refreshing it is. I love a floral gin drink and was excited to get that. We also indulged in some absinthe and a flight of various old fashioneds. We loved it so much that we purchased a bottle of their absinthe and a few cans of espresso Martinis to enjoy in the room. This was a fabulous experience and I highly recommend checking it out.

Long Road Distillers is a great place for a festive holiday cocktail. They decorate for Christmas each year and have a special drink menu, some of which come in fun Santa glasses. I made a reservation for the weekend before Christmas for dinner and drinks. The space isn't huge so reservations are definitely recommended. We were seated right away and our server checked our IDs before giving us a complimentary sample of their mulled wine. It was a nice cozy way to start our visit. I was really excited for the food because everything sounded delicious, plus their sandwiches are all served with fries (fries are my favorite). I got the smoked mushroom sandwich and Nate ordered the LRD hot brown. We each had two drinks as well. The food looked great when it came out, but I was really sad because the fries were just not good. Unfortunately they weren't fresh so most of them stayed on my plate. The sandwich was good but I don't think I'd order it again. I had some bites of the LRD hot brown which I liked. Our drinks were delicious though! Service was a little bit slower but I figured they were short staffed. While this wasn't a 5 star visit for me, I have been to Long Road enough times to know that this was probably just an anomaly and will be back in the future.

Love this place! Fabulous bar for drinks! There is something for everyone on this menu! The delicious beverages are also aesthetically pleasing! This bar is beautiful inside and have a small patio during the warmer months. The service here has always been spot on! Everyone is so kind and treats us super well! Absolutely love it!

Swung by Long Road for holiday cocktails, and happened to be burger night! We were sat at the bar right away, but all the tables were taken. We ordered a couple holiday cocktails. They were super cute (see the Santa cup haha) AND they were BOOZY. I was surprised by how strong they were. We also ordered burgers and draft cocktails for burger night- I love their draft cocktails. Very tasty and refreshing! The burger was great too, but tbh their fries are the star of the show. Super crispy and fresh! Some of my favorite fries in GR.

Went with colleagues for the Thursday night special which was a cocktail with a burger and fries for $20! There were certain cocktails and burgers to choose from. I opted for their Pride drink and the peanut butter burger. Our waitress was so attentive and accommodating! The cocktails around the table were all presented so well and delicious. The burger was meaty with a great balance of flavors. We met up between 4:30-5p and it was pretty chill but as it got later the crowd picked up for sure. They indoor and outdoor seating which I thought was great. I shall return!

Sipping into my Friday evening! Strawberry Fields Forever Vodka, Aquavit, strawberry, basil, lemon, and basil leaf.

We always enjoy stopping by here and have been here many times. Excellent cocktails! I change it up each visit and I have enjoyed each creation. The food is made FRESH and we have enjoyed every dish we have had served to us here. We have had the fish and chips, tempura fried mushrooms, Mediterranean plate, house cut fries, and white chicken chili. Our service is always on point and it's very clean and comfortable here. This is a go to place often for us.

Long Road has been a go-to of mine and my friends for quite awhile. I love that the menu gets updated periodically, but still sticks to the amazing basics. Their Aquavit is out of this world, and I end up leaving with a bottle half of the time. The tasting flights are great, especially if you're not exactly sure what kind of cocktail you want to order! Burger nights on Thursday are an awesome value as well! And the confit nachos are I learned recently that their upstairs venue space is also really beautiful! Also, the service is impeccable. I'd recommend this spot for early phase dates. Little plants on the table and moody lighting! It feels sort of dressed-up casual, so you can impress without it feeling like overkill ;)

This was my first time at this place and it did not disappoint! They have a great selection of specialty cocktails and infused liquors. The staff is very knowledgeable on the drink selection and can describe the different flavors really well. I had the Teta's lemonade which was sweet but tart! Very refreshing! We also had the loaded fries. I wasn't a very big fan of these. They almost tasted burnt and were missing some need flavor. The atmosphere is really nice and set up with ample seating! I will definitely come back again for drinks.

We are fans of Long Road for the following reasons: - Fantastic Service - never had bad service there. Most of the time the owners are also there working behind the bar/throughout the space and they will come chat with your table to see how your experience has been. - Great Atmosphere - we love the distillery vibe they have going with the windows to the kettles in the back of the building. The decor is rustic and creates a nice feel to hang for dinner/drinks with friends. - Menu - their new paired down menu post covid is still plentiful. We were recently very impressed with their duct nachos (better than Vivant!! truly) as well as their steak entree that was prepared perfectly as requested. I did provide my feedback that the sauce (that lined the bottom of the plate) should be served on the side - it was much too sweet for my taste. - Cocktails - craft cocktails that are expertly made... what more could you ask for?! - Parking - the restaurant is located on the edge of a neighborhood and there is lots of parking downtown side streets. There's also parking along the Main Street (Leonard). Or, just Uber or use the SPIN scooters! There's a sparking box for the scooters just down from the entrance to the building. Super fun!

SERVICE: 5 FOOD QUALITY: 5 DRINK QUALITY: 5 ORDER TIME: 5 AESTHETICS: 5 NOISE LEVEL: 5 MENU SELECTION: 5 OVERALL EXPERIENCE: 5 Been wanting to go here since I walked by the window after going to the mitten. The reviews are always wonderful. Our power went out so I decided it was time to finally go. The inside is very welcoming. A very large, modern, interior that says please come enjoy our delicious menu. I started my evening with a, Rival the Last Word, gin cocktail which was delicious. Was the perfect mix and a beautiful presentation. After having a cocktail I ordered the loaded fries which had such an amazing seasoning. These fries were cooked to perfection. Not too soggy, and not too hard. Was the perfect pre meal snack. For dinner I had the BB chicken sandwich. It was tasty with a hint of heat. My only gripe was that the chicken was really thin. I would of liked an option for crispy chicken as well. I've been on a quest for the best chicken sandwich in Grand Rapids and I would rank this as #3. After eating my sandwich I ordered the tee bee dee for my dessert. The brandy mix was delicious. Very sweet, and smooth. It was the perfect after-meal drink/dessert. The overall experience was everything I was hoping for considering my expectations from the reviews. This is a must eat and drink!

The drinks are fantastic tasting and at a reasonable cocktail price. The atmosphere is chill and nice, making it great to meet up with friends or for a date night.

It was quite lively on a Friday night in this small dark distillery. Was seated promptly and given paper menus; so nice to not scan a QR code for a change. The food menu is small; but the drink menu is large. Ordered duck confit nachos and hot chicken sandwich. The nachos was heavy and tasted very one note, but the jalapeño salsa it came with was a good, fresh contrast. The hot chicken sandwich was not hot at all and well overcooked; it was physically hard to eat. The accompanying fries were on the softer/soggy side too. Did not try their drinks, but hopefully it's better than their food.

As soon as you walk in, there are games, chips for sale, and a water cooler with reusable cups. The place was busy. Many folks eating and drinking. There were two seats at the bar, both on either side of a young lady; so I asked if I could take one and she said yes! As it turned out, she was an off duty employee just having a beer. We chatted a bit while I ordered a flight. I love that the flight is not limited. You can have as many 2.5 ounce beers as you want! Each are priced separately. I perused the food menu and checked out the merch. Sadly they did not have the tshirt I liked in my size. They also sell beanies, glassware and hoodies. Oh, and beer to go! I enjoyed the two IPAs with Good Good being my fave, followed by IPA#1. The porter was good and so was the Kona brown. The fade was my least fave, and it pretty much tasted like Guinness, but I did drink it all. I have preferences but I also have values! Lol. The off duty employee and I chatted awhile, even looping in the bar tender and my other bar stool neighbor, especially when it came down to naming the artists on the decorative candles (see pic). We were having so much fun that we decided on her having another beer and me getting a couple more samples. The Mosacca IPA was really good. The Economy, gotta love the name, was also good and the most affordable beer! Look at them looking out for the people. Loved this place. The locals are friendly. Did not eat but all the food I saw looked good! Would return to enjoy more beer, fun convos and to buy a size small shirt!

They offer you complementary homemade bread (this did take a bit of time, but they were warm when they came out) and we easily devoured it! I will say that it was a little slower than anticipated, but still very good. I would hope the bread would come out sooner than our appetizers. I ordered the caesar salad (very large) and included bleu cheese which was not listed on the menu. I would definitely list that on the menu unless it was an accident? We got bleu cheese on the bruschetta which listed another cheese, so again, I do think that they need to disclose this. I like it but most do not! My husband and I decided to check this place out on a Monday night for dinner. He had been craving a good steak for awhile, and we were excited to try a new spot. Nearly immediate disappointment. It was completely empty when we walked in, and right away we were asked if we had a reservation. We did not. The hostess seemed a little put off by this, but sat us anyway. I do understand that it's possible they had a whole group of reservations about to show up, but it was an off-putting reaction for our first time in. Our tablecloth was a little dirty and the music was a little loud, but we didn't want that to deter us, so we ordered drinks, and started looking over the menu. I decided on the salmon, and my husband was deciding on which steak. It turns out, they were out of the 6oz and all 3 of the 10oz steaks. If we had known this when we were seated, we may have come back another night. He decided on the 16oz Prime New York Strip with asparagus and mashed potatoes as the sides. Oh, they were also out of the salmon, so I ordered the shrimp accompaniment and the side Caesar salad. Already facing disappointment since they were out of so much of the menu. It got so much worse when the food arrived. The steak certainly didn't look like an actual 16oz cut, and was as thin as a cafeteria steak. It was at least cooked as asked at medium rare and had a decent char, but it was also served nearly room temperature. The steak knife was also super dull, which didn't help. The asparagus melted in your mouth, in a kind of over-cooked way, and the potatoes were so dry it was like they had been under a heat lamp for half an hour. The gravy basically tasted like a cheap canned gravy. My Caesar salad was...weird. Yes, it was a side salad, but the bowl it came in was huge, so it looked like a sad little thrown together salad. It tasted fine until I got to the bottom and there were massive chunks of bleu cheese. First of all, the menu did NOT say the Caesar would have bleu cheese - I wouldn't have ordered it. And I'm not sure it was supposed to be there since it was just chunks at the bottom, almost like they started serving the wrong salad and just plopped the correct one on top. The shrimp accompaniment was the star of the whole meal. Decent sized, seasoned well, and not over-cooked. The whole experience was just not good. I'm giving 2 stars since we did eat our food, and didn't complain to anyone, but realistically we probably should have just left when we learned they were out of 4 of their 8 steaks and the basic fish entree. Based on the experience, and how many other restaurants there are in town, I'm pretty confident we won't go back.
