Lots of trendy chill clothes. However all of the fun young clothes seemed to be size extra small, and small. I didn't but anything because it was too small. The larger sizes they had were for more mature women...and not so my style. It's of cool mens Longboard House graphics tees. We rented a paddle board but unfortunately the weather was bad and I broke my phone on the way to the beach. You can rent it out for half the day ($30) or a full day ($50), and chose to rent it out for the whole day. We called and asked if we could return it early and get a refund. They gave us the option of either using it another day or getting store credit, so we chose the store credit. Dave and Cherokee were very helpful!! All of the ladies in the shop were also very nice and helped us pick out clothes. Everything here was also very reasonably priced considering the clothes were nice brands. Was just in to buy my son, husband, and myself some sandals and was treated very poorly. The employees acted as if my son was going to destroy their products before we were even there two minutes. For a surf shop that actually sells children's accessories this is not a kid friendly store. We ended up putting shoes back and walking out. read more

My uncle suggested this place, since he's not only a local, but also an avid surfer. The guys here are pretty knowledgable. I came in, looking for a rashguard and some surf wax, and walked out a happy customer. Its house brand is made here in the US, which is a big plus, and the employees were friendly. This place also didn't have that touristy feeling to it like Ron Jon, which is good - I can't stand tourist traps. There were some touristy trinkets at the register, but it wasn't out of control. We love this place... Been coming for years. Today, Kendal helped us with our paddle board rental. He went above & beyond. His helpful manor and attentive attitude moved me to the point I had to do something to give him the props he deserves. We travel all over, but the Longboard House is where we buy all our surfboards, bathing suites, flip flops and rentals. There is just no where like it. read more

Nice location, great inventory. They are fundamentally dishonest. Samantha D. and Erik H. called it right. I had a board "repaired" there and was shocked at the outcome. Dings not repaired, some dings were just filled with wax. One ding out of four written up was properly repaired. The employee that wrote up the order told me it would be a couple of days for the repairs. I didn't get the board for a week, but was told it would be ready tomorrow every time I called. When I did get the board, they didn't go over the board with me. I never saw the order sheet again. I was in a hurry and just grabbed the board and left. When I got home and looked the board over I knew I had been taken. I don't even trust them to make it right. I'll repair the remaining dings myself. While waiting for my board, I looked around the shop some and noticed some obviously used boards priced as new. That should have been a red flag, but I thought maybe they were consignments. Now I think not. In the end, they lost a potential long term customer. I'll be buying a new board in the spring, but it won't be from the Long Board House. My step daughter will be buying a new board, but not at the LBH. My wife loved the gift shop, but she'll not go back. They got a quick buck, and that's all they care about. So long, LBH. read more

Horrible overpriced and terrible customer services. I have come here for years every time I come into town. Born raised in Indialantic. Came in back door blonde hair over tanned guy who stated he " was the owner". When asked for help he pointed to where that hats are and went back to his personal conversations with his friends. This place is really two shops inside, with surf boards and summer clothes for men on one side, and a ladies' shop on the other side of a partition, selling "upscale" beach attire and jewelry. We had breakfast at the Beachside Cafe next door and came in after our meal in hopes to pick up a few things. My daughter tried on some tops and ended up picking out a few pieces of jewelry instead. While I was paying, she used the dressing room to put on her bathing suit. As I came back to the dressing room with my purchases to wait for my daughter, an older lady stationed herself next to me and watched me like a hawk until my daughter came out and we left. It was very awkward and uncomfortable. I don't know what I did wrong that made this lady see me as a thief :( read more

Just pulled the trigger on a Firewire board from the shop and have to say Bill B. provided excellent service over the phone. He gave me an accurate decription of the board and sent a few pics as proof. Board took a few days longer to arrive due to hurricane, but was exactly as Bill described. i rented a board there for the day. they pretty much only rent out the epoxy ones. that was great b/c i had been wanting to try one. it was $25 for a half day rental. they were really nice. working with them for the entire transaction was about as painless as it gets. the guy who pulled the board out also broke open a wax block and gave me half for me to use for the day. i thought it was nice of him to throw it in w/o me asking for it. the place is across the street from the water, so it doesn't get much closer than that. my friend noticed that they have a huge inventory. and it's true...when you walk around there is a ton of stuff in there. if i ever go back, i will find them again! read more

Placed an online order for four t shirts and three weeks later the only thing that had been done was to charge my card. After three phone calls and three emails I finally found out that they had no idea when my order, as ordered, would be available. Suggestion was made that I purchase something else. Very poor customer service on items that were suppose to be in stock. Cancelled my order and requested a credit. read more

Went in to purchase a rather expensive paddle for my SUP. Kid behind the counter didn't even look up to it knowledge me but said "Yo". Did not offer any assistance with helping me find what I needed. Found the paddle I wanted but asked if these were all they had. Again kid did not even look up at me but just said "yup". I just walked right out. No other customers in the store. Went on to another company's website and found it for cheaper. So much for giving $400 to a local store. There are two souvenir knock off shops that you're better off going to across the street. read more

I have purchased 5 longboards over the years from LH. I put a deposit on number 6 and was told 8 weeks for delivery. No problem, this is standard for out of stock boards. At 10 weeks, no board - no problem. At 14 weeks, I asked Bill why I didn't have a board. I must have said it loud enough for other customers to hear, because he smart mouthed me about arriving when it arrives. I asked for my deposit back. I could not find my deposit receipt, but had the CC statement with the date and deposit amount. That was not good enough, and Bill would not look for the store copy. I never received my deposit back (300.00). This happened some time ago. I love surfboards and have purchased many since(not from LH). The gist of this post is: be cautious of this shop, they are a little used car dealerish. If you pay a deposit, guard your receipt. I was not a good consumer - I didn't keep my paperwork handy. They were certainly not a good vendor - I was belittled in front of other people and never refunded money I was owed. That is 300.00 of bad advertising (yes, I make sure and tell my story to other board buyers.) read more

We have always loved Longboard House since we have lived in Melbourne....We always bring our guests here and love the quality of the merchandise......until today......maybe the quality of the sales staff isn't up to the quality of Longboard House...very rude little sales girl....We will think twice before ever going there again .Infact we'll drive to Ron-Jon's first !!!!! read more

This place has a lot of nice things, don't get me wrong. Horrid customer service (Anne, specifically) which is really disappointing because I picked a few hundred dollars of decor for my new home, but wanted to pick up today. Unfortunately,I will never shop here again . First of all, I spent over $120 in Christmas gifts for my family on Saturday. The lady who rang me up, wrapped a small box for me in tissue paper and was basically forcing a pair of earrings that I ALSO bought, into the shell box, thus (most likely) cracking the box without my knowledge.. not saying she did it on purpose or even realized it, it could've been defective. I didn't realize this until unwrapping the box to put it in a gift bag. I was really close to the shop so I decided to bring it back in to see if I could exchange it. I wasn't asking for a refund! This box probably cost them $2 and they're selling it for $10, so I'm sure it's not a huge loss for them- they already have my money. ANN- the "manager" ( her attitude was like Regina George from Mean Girls) proceeded to argue with me that I broke it myself and I'm "lying", etc. etc and made me feel absolutely awful for even bringing it back in and giving me a hard time and made the whole thing really awkward. It wasn't even about the fact that I was about to lose $10 of my hard-earned $ or a gift I spent time selecting for someone, it was the principal-- basically causing a scene, being extremely unprofessIonal and ultimately losing me as a customer--my mom was ALSO with me and had a few things picked out to purchase- we just decided to leave empty handed.. Which sucks because I had a huge wooded sign you guys are selling for $180 that i was going to pick up later with my husband and his SUV, and several other items because we're moving into our new house on the 29th but I sure as hell won't be back. I am a business owner myself and have worked in customer service for years-I would never argue with a customer over a $10 box but - apparently, a $10 box is worth losing a customer for life and crappy reviews!
